Okay, I finally Netflixed for the first few episodes. Heard so much about it from Browncoats I decided to give it a try. I like it.

(Unfortunately, my cheapo TV/DVD "ate" the disc--I can't get it out, dammit, so can't get more Chuck from Netflix until I can figure it out. Will have to rent from the video store...if they've got it?)

Somewhere in between (for me) Warehouse 13 (which I watch 'cuz there's nothing on, but which doesn't really interest me) and Eureka (which I really like)...and might overcome Eureka as I get more familiar.

I love Adam's part, the humor is reminiscent of what they wrote for Jayne, offhand and hinting at violence. He's doing a great job, and it's nice t see him again in something decent!

Off to the video store (I have a VHS/DVD player attached, so at least I have that option!), then to sit down with tools and tear the TV DVD apart...damn Target cheap crap.

I use the DVD player I got with my computer. I don't use the Windows Media Player. I have Cyberlink software. Not a bad picture.

Y'know, if you had a BuyMore, you could probably get a DVD player there for a bargain price, and a friendly nerd to help you install it. . .

I am ready for CHUCK season 3….but I will be missing LIFE Wednesday nights on NBC. They have lost me as a viewer on that night.

Well, yesterday morning (being one of those persistent types), I punched the "eject" button. It came out, smooth as silk.

I maintain that electronic stuff has it's own mentality, and sometimes just refuses to do what we want so it can laugh at us!

At least it came out, so I could send it back and wait for the next one. Video store doesn't have it in stock, dammit, but is ordering it. I've got a long ways to go to catch up, but I refuse to watching the current season until I have!

May use my VHS/DVD player instead, tho', just in case. I've still go that hooked up to the TV so I can record watch VHS tapes, with that lovely, lovely "fast forward" button to avoid commercials!

If I had any brains, I'd probably record the current season so I wouldn't have to wait for it to come out on DVD, but it's already so far into it, why bother now?

Good to have something else to look forward to, anyway, and I'm thoroughly enjoying Adam's character!

That's the first step in their master plan for world domination and declaring an all out war against humans.

That's a good plan. I think enough stuff happens in the show that you should see it all before trying to watch the new stuff.

Which is what has me so curious where they're planning on going this season. Hopefully it will be another fun ride.

News for Chuck fans, Brandon Routh (Superman Returns) is joining the cast this season.

Which, along with Adam, makes him the second cast member to have played Superman in some form.

There is no current season. Season One (13 episodes) ran from September '07 to January '08, shortened by the writers' strike. Season Two (22 episodes) ended in April of this year. Season Three doesn't start until March, so you have plenty of time to catch up.

Basically because of Leno and the Winter Olympics.

NBC will aire Heroes at 8 pm on Mondays (as usual) and then Leno comes on at 10 pm five nights a week. Heroes will end it's season by the end of the year, the Winter Olympics will aire and then Chuck will take over the 8 pm time slot when that is over.

SO! Because Leno has taken up a prime-time slot . . . NBC had to do some major shuffling.

Frak Leno taking up prime time. So does that also mean Heroes won't have a full season? Ending in March is too early for a full season. Heroes has gone to the sharks. I don't even understand the plot anymore it's like they took a wrong turn on the storyline somewhere in season 2 and got eaten by cannibals. Never been the same since.

I agree. Heroes went wrong somewhere. Season 1 had it's flaws, but overall it was very good. They needed to keep Sylar "dead" for at least a half season before bringing him back. But that's what I say every time they "kill" him and they never listen to me I've been very faithful to the show and refused to give up on it, but last season really pushed my limits. I'm very leary and will probably stop watching if things go south again.

Their biggest mistakes were the Maya and Alejandro story line and giving Mohinder and Ando powers. Some of the appeal was the fact that the regulars were interacting with those with powers. Now the only regular person on there is HRG.

Oh, good, you two, it's nice to see I'm not alone! I gave up on Heroes in Seasion 2 as well...it just lost focus and there's such a thing as overkill. It was the same with Weeds; I really loved that show, until about the third season when it got serious and started going awry. Then I'm outta there.

Well, Gordon, it's good to hear I have a few months, I'll definitely be caught up on Chuck before the new season starts (and then some! Probably be champing at the bit by then!). Thanx for letting me know!

I tried to stick with Heroes, but couldn't. Gave up a handful of episodes into S3. Just so horribly written, it's almost mind-boggling.

Though I still like Weeds. Sure the tone changed a bit, but the quality remained high (no pun intended). And it's still got Doug and Andy, so it's not that serious.

I believe there will be a full season of Heroes - a show can do 20ish eps in a row, with no repeats. The reason most shows last from September to May is that there are lots of repeats. I have read that NBC has said there will be between 18 and 20 eps this season (why, why? Give Chuck those extra eps! I gave up on Heroes mid season 2 like most folks)

If Chuck does well after the Olympics (fingers crossed) NBC could order the back nine - right now the order is only for thirteen episodes, but if NBC likes what they see ratings wise, they could order an additional nine for a full season... so be sure to tune in!

If the ratings stay high for Chuck then it should get its share of episodes.

I'm not a Leno anyway.

I say let Leno retire already. It's annoying listening to his lisp. HA.

Chuck deserves a full season unlike Heroes because they remain true to their premise and also unlike Heroes, Chuck has a clear storyline and objective. NBC just keeps Heroes on because they hope that it will regain it's popularity. I hope they realize it's too wrecked to be repaired.

I just read that Kristin Kreuk is joining for a multi episode arc for season 3. She's going to be a new love interest for Chuck. I miss Jill. I hope she comes back. So that's Brandon Routh and Kristin Kreuk now.

There has been no official announcement about when Season 2 will be released on DVD. If Season 3 was going to start in the fall I am sure it S2 would already be out, but it won't be on again until March.
