I'm planning on keeping it to once or twice a year. Its hard to rezist tho.

I alwayz watch the whole seriez then the movie over 3 dayz to a week.

Therez been alot uv sequel action going on lately, but therez a gap now between MIB3 and Prometheus, so I'm squeezing Firefly in before watching my Alien Quadrilogy BR set. MAN! Its nice to be back in the verse for a spell!

At this point, about once every 18 months, I'm due.

I assume you're my pal until you let me know otherwise.

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

It has been a couple of years, but considering I've watched it at least twenty times complete I think I can be forgiven. I also always watch every episode in order, followed by all the bonus features, then Serenity. I have other things I like to watch, but I'm going to watch it again before the end of the year I am sure.

I watch whichever show I'm in the mood for at least a couple of times a month and make it through the whole series plus the movie a few times a year. It doesn't get old and I always enjoy it. When compared to much of the series offerings on tv today, Firefly is an easy choice on how to spend my time.

Nowadays its once a year for the full series.

I generally watch it when it shows up on TV. Outside of that, I watch the DVDs when I'm in the mood (once or twice a year, I'd guess) -- but I'll watch whichever episode sounds good at the time.

I watch Firefly whenever I'm writing a fanfic and want to check details. I like to use peripheral characters from the original series and movie in my fanfics, so I'll find myself watching the episodes in which they appear in order to notice details. I also watch in order to take note of details of the layout of the ship, to get the geography right. I watch to notice further details of the main characters' backstories, and I watch in order to steal the habitual gestures, postures, and quirks that the actors put into their characters, so I can write them into my fanfics. And then I watch Firefly just for fun with my husband, whenever he's in the mood for it. I'd say an episode or two each month, although it's not on any kind of regular schedule.

At least once a year.... and I watch SERENITY at least once a year too.

The reason goes; thus:

I tend to want to catch up with a new show about every winter time. I suppose because it starts becoming cold and I tend to be in doors more often and my girlfriend and I are looking for something we can both engage with... So i scout around looking for recommendations (often post here asking what everyone else is into). I check out some new stuff or the odd suggested show on here and give it a whirl... What then happens is I find that they're marginally satisfactory but there's always something missing... Something that only Joss could provide.

So I turn to Buffy, as the draw is just too great, and these days Buffy brings with it so much nostalgia for me that It's a place I love to revisit.... That then leads to Angel, which in turn leads to Firefly and finally SERENITY. I'll throw in a few of the better episodes of Dollhouse and Dr Horrible as well - just to round everything off.... Then I'll wait for the winter again to pretty much go through the same thing.

°...Well here I am.°

Hav you watched Breaking Bad, THESOM? If not, you may want to wait and get the box set, since the seriez will finish this seazon. The 4th seazon will be available soon, but they'll surely have more stuff in a complete box set.

I had to buy a new BR player to watch Serenity yesterday. I finished watching Firefly, wich I hav on DVD on Thurzday and wuz all set to watch my Serenity blue ray, but my louzy JVC player just woudnt do it.

Pretty much since I got it a few yirz ago, it woud spit disks out with 'check disk!' even wen they were fresh out uv the rapper. I discovered that sticking a cleaner disk in for a few secondz woud make it work. This time it didnt. I even did a firmware update, to no avail.

I wanted to get a Toshiba, but the storez didnt have any hooked up for demo. I ran outa time so settled on a Philips frum Target. It wuz 40 buks more than the average I saw at the other storez and the other brandz at Target, so I figured it shoud be be better.

Maybe there wuz more rong with the JVC than the obvious, but the sound seemz to be better with the Phillips.

I also watched Dun The Impossible later.

Hey JO,

I've seen it only twice

The first time was probably sometime in about 2006 before my bro and I became members here (He and my dad had been telling me for YEARS to watch it).

I fell in love with it.

The second time was mid-summer 2011, and after all that time it was nearly just as good as the first time I'd watched it.

I can't quote it much, but that's how I like it. I don't re-watch too many things I've seen in the past. The things I do re-watch, I like allowing for as much possible time to have lapsed that my brain has forgotten most of the details so I can enjoy it again as if it were the first time.

It's kind of like hooking up with an ex-girlfriend after five years.

I've watched it so many times, but nowadays I watch entire series once a year (usually around the Holidays - Christmas)
and finish off with Serenity. Every once in a while I catch Serenity on SyFy (it was on yesterday) and I get a bit sad and want to watch the series.
But, for the most part, I resist and wait for my yearly visit to the verse. I also catch, on Netflix, some Buffy and lately I've had a powerful hankering for some Dollhouse, which I may give into soon now that summer is here.

BTW I normally don't watch the extras, but I will catch the odd interview on YouTube with any of the crew, especially if it's during one of the Cons. Those are very special.

I think I'll start my rewatch this year on September 20. But it will be the pilot episode, not "The Train Job."

Interesting Shiny. I love the extras. In fact I've even bought TV series/films just to watch the extras even if I found the film so,so. The Matrix sequels for example. Avatar I bought just for the extras. I mean I liked the film, but really I wanted to see how they did all that stuff!

That's what I'm waiting for. My girlfriend saw a few and said I should watch it from the start, so as it's nearing it's conclusion I'll wait until the box set is available. Cheers for the recommendation JO753.

Traditionalist? so you throw in a baseball game or Adam Sandler movie at random times too?

I'm the exact same way.
Heck, I just bought the Region 2 Space:Above and Beyond DVD set just for documentaries and commentaries. I don't even have a R2 player.
(my buddy has one though)

I get a hankerin to watch sumthing and cant get it outa my hed till I do. I'm watching the Alien quadrilogy now kuz Prometheus starts Friday.
