Can someone help with the DVD

I've heard people talk about the commentary on the DVD..at 1rst I thought they were talking about the speacial feature section with Joss and telling about the making of FireFly..but now I know it somthing diffrent only I don't know how to access it

also can someone please explain to me why is that when I watch for example safe....some scenes seem to be missing but then when I hit certain buttons on the DvD..all of a sudden whole scenes show up that weren't there before

some of you might think this funny...because I don't know alot about how to work these kinds of things so any help will be appreicated

does deleted scenes show up if you press certain buttons because if thats the case there is alot I haven't seen yet!!

NOt sure what you mean about missing scenes in episodes, like "Safe." That's news to me. Are you selecting "play episode" or "scene selections" to watch the episode?

Re: the commentary tracks--several of the episodes have them. "Serenity," "Train Job," "Shindig," "War Stories," and "Objects in Space" for sure--if you look on the back of each disk sleeve, it tells you which episodes have a track, and who is on it. They are oddly accessed--you go to the main menu for the disk, select the episode, then instead of just hitting "play episode" you choose "language". When you get into that submenu for that, choose the commentary track, then play episode. That should launch the episode, with the commentary track instead of the sound track. They are definitely worth listening to, esp. Joss and Nathan on "Serenity," Joss and Tim on "Train Job," Nathan and Alan on "War Stories," and Joss alone on "Objects."

Most DVD players will also let you hit the language button while the DVD is playing to switch from language to language .. and the last english langusge that shows up is the commenetary :)
( If I lost ya... just play the DVD, hit the language button once.. they will speak spanish. hit it again, frence... hit it again.. commentary :)

The Journey is the worthier part.

ok thanks you guys for the help its muchly appreciated..I did figure out how to get the commentary

but can someone explain to me if this has happened to them..when I was watching safe..the eppisode played fine..but the scenes that were not there was the one where Simon talks to his father when he gets him out of the blackout area nor is the scene where River is talking to the towns people before they deceide to string her up on that pole...

but if you go back and hit the previous button..those scenes show up

so I was wondering were those deleted scenes that show up when you hit the previous button and if thats so then does other deleted scenes show up on other eppisodes
