6ixStringJack: Glad to hear your neck and back are feeling better. I figured they were since I hadn't heard you mention it for a few weeks.
6ixStringJack: You ever play "Chip's Challenge" or "JezzBall"? They were on earlier versions of Windows and I don't know when they got rid of them. They might have actually been part of a Microsoft expansion disk too though, so I'm not sure. Those were both fun puzzle games. I always liked Minesweeper too. I play too many games. I can't be bothered with the new ones though because I don't want to pay all that money for them. I got a huge backlog of my brother's old games to play if I ever get the itch to play something I don't already have.
Brenda: The new bed is working out good. And my neck and back seem quite happy. I had to do some tweaking with the pillow set up but it's all good.
Brenda: Don't think I've seen any other pinball games on computer that one. Most games I've seen that come with a computer are solitaire just regular. Then there are the added games that once internet is set up you can access. I can be bothered replacing video game systems. Too much hassle and I'm happy with the mah jong and solitaire sites I can get too.
Brenda: Oops, sorry. Like I think I said. All I remember playing the game whenever my landlady decided to turn off the internet. Idiot woman that she was when I was living there. The operating system on that lap top must have been 10, I guess. I don't know. .
THG: OH, that hurts my feeling Gilligan
6ixStringJack: Grow up, Ted. Nobody wants you here anymore.
THG:
6ixStringJack: How's the new bed working out now that you moved it, Brenda? Your neck feel better now?
THG:
THG:
6ixStringJack: I have some earlier DOS pinball tables that were actually pretty phenomenal for their time and hold up well today. Once they were able to put 3D graphics into things and could give a real good isometric view of these tables that changed the game. I'd like to play something newer, but I don't have any tech that would play anything beyond those Marvel tables I showed you. I suppose I could probably find them on the High Seas if I wanted to, since the XBox 360 store shut down and I couldn't even buy them on my brother's hand me down system if I wanted to anymore.
THG:
6ixStringJack: Both sides of it were the game. The right side was just your score and the high score and some other information while the table was on the left side. It was a pretty basic pinball game, and somehow stayed with Windows for many years over different operating systems. I saw a video about why it was removed from Windows 10. Had something to do with the game not being compatible with 64bit architecture, and it was actually not included in 64bit versions of earlier windows OS either because of that. Some guy did a bunch of coding to get it to finally work on Windows 10 again.
Brenda: The one on the left looks like the game that was on my lap top. It was an okay game. Like I said just had to figure out how to work everything on a computer.
Brenda: I know the game the person had was Atari but don't know much else about it outside it was an early one.
Brenda: Yeah, the one on my lap top had some kind of theme. I just not sure as too what. Think it was sort of space themed. I don't remember what operating system it was on. 7 sounds familiar but not sure.
THG:
6ixStringJack: Was this the pinball you had on your laptop?
6ixStringJack: Yeah... Early Atari 2600 game that Video Pinball was. (It's possible in Canada you knew it as the Atari VCS). It was the first system I had when I was a kid. Sold 30 Million units worldwide at the time, which was huge, but consoles these days can sell as much as 5 or 6 times that many. Gaming is so much bigger worldwide these days than it was back then.
