Can you let the page auto center? Right now my screen is wider than the page is and it is shifted left. I think it would look better with the page centered.

What can I do to keep text from disappearing under the stuff along the right rail? I noticed it in the Caption threads, don't know if it's an all-over problem.

Haken,

Getting used to navigating the Blue Sun Room on the new site. A few points I notice:

*In the BSR, the sort feature lets you find fics by title when you choose the "Alphabetical" option. However, you still can't search for fics by author or by title. The "search" function apparently searches the brief descriptive blurb, rather than the title or author fields. Any remedy for this? For example, I ran a search for mal4prez's fabulous "Back Stories" -- and even though there are 3 books and something like 50 chapters, none of them come up because the phrase "Back Stories" is not mentioned in the blurbs.

*So, I go to BSR, see the listings of fanfics. I pick one. I like it, so I look at "other fanfics by author" (that's a very nice feature, by the way). At the bottom of that list, I click on "read more fanfic" because the author has written a series. So far, so good. It gives me a long list. I can sort by rating (not so useful, this author's very good and everything is rated 9 or 10). I can sort by alphabetical (somewhat useful, but this author has called everything "Back Stories Something-or-other" so the stories show up in more or less random order. I'm just trying to read them in sequential order, so, I click on "Last updated" hoping to get a list in order of posting. Well now, the author has gone back and edited, adding links to new parts or just plain fixing stuff, so the "last updated" option again doesn't really get me sequential order. Is there any chance of adding a "sort by posting date" option?

*Also, I believe I am not the first to mention that I am unable to find an option to edit one's postings in the BSR on the new site.

It makes my computer slower, angry face. The only thing I like about it is that I can have more than one line in my signature phrase.

I hate change in general, it irritates me, but I don't reckon any of my complaints would be applicable to anyone else here and its mannageable, so it doesn't matter.

I assume you're my pal until you let me know otherwise.

Your screen must be very wide since the site will expand to a certain point and then stops. Most don't have that wide of a screen, but I'll see what I can do once the site stabilizes with everyone using it.

Just a 19" wide screen monitor. I would say there is about 2" of black space on the right side. So I am guessing the site is set to widen to about 17 and then stop by what you said. Anyways just thought I would mention it.
