Just watched this on DVD.
It was apparently released 2 Sep 2016.
If you liked the concepts of Ex-Machina and want more of it, this might be for you. It's not quite as fulfilling as E-M, but does explore some of the potential plot twists, some of which were discussed in this thread:

At first it seems more pedestrian, like an administrative process, but then some things don't mesh under the initial assumptions, and you gotta rethink it more.

It spent less time getting in depth with the subject, more time on action scenes.

The Hollywood Reporter Sheri Linden Aug 29, 2016
The thrilling premise of Morgan eventually gets muddled amid standard thriller-action, blunting the intended impact of a final sequence that should produce chills, but instead merely provides information. Still, those seeking smart, edgy genre fare will find plenty to savor in this well-cast drama.

The Seattle Times Soren Andersen Aug 30, 2016
Anchored by Mara’s rigidly controlled performance and Taylor-Joy’s tremulous yet quietly menacing work, Morgan is an effective tension generator that unfortunately falls apart at the end.

The A.V. Club Jesse Hassenger Aug 31, 2016
The director, Luke Scott (son of Ridley), doesn’t exactly elevate this material, but he does see it through. The voice of Brian Cox goads the action into Bourne territory to counter its "Ex Machina" overtones, but the movie works best when it riffs away from its antecedents into even more pitiless territory.

Austin Chronicle Steve Davis Aug 31, 2016
The entire plot exists for the sole purpose of the yawning revelation in the film’s last five minutes.

Well, Steve Davis has a point, but about halfway through the film you had clues. The last 5 minutes were for the slow viewers.

Well, I didn't really recognize the title role being played by the female lead that I've seen in trailers for Split.
