I had hoped to enjoy this film, but I was disappointed. I didn't fully understand what it was about beforehand, and I can't really fill in that information after seeing it.

The storyline is not terribly had to follow, but the direction and perhaps cinematography was done by somebody on drugs. Perhaps somebody who is a reguler drug addict caqn let us know if this film was appealing.

There is one coda at the very end of credits, I don't know what it means.

The creditrs were a little wierd to me. There was a credit for a girl who was onscreen, but the credit was deep into the technical credits.

A review that compares The Green Knight to very arty The Last Temptation of Christ:
Quote:

At the end of Martin Scorsese’s 1988 film (based on the novel by Nikos Kazantzakis), Jesus is hanging on the cross, having lived a life of some confusion and conflict over his divine and human natures. (The Last Temptation of Christ was very, very controversial upon release.) There are ways in which the Jesus of that film and Gawain of The Green Knight bear similarities to one another. They’re both less serene, confident, and virtuous than the traditions that tell their stories have made them out to be. Both movies portray heroic figures through lenses that are not always heroic, struggling with desires and temptations that are a little startling to watch. . . .

The Last Temptation of Christ doesn’t perfectly map onto The Green Knight, but the story structure is strikingly similar. I don’t think Lowery is trying to say that Gawain is Jesus, although many scholars over many centuries have compared the characters, situations, and symbols of the Gawain myth to elements of Christian theology, and not without merit. To the medieval Christian mind, every story was highly symbolic of some deeper truth. Gawain’s three temptations at the hands of the lady of the castle he visits could be the three temptations Jesus experienced in the wilderness. Some have seen parallels to Christ in the Green Knight, or considered how the soul’s salvation is an element of the story. In a straightforward way, it shows the pagan and the Christian worlds in confrontation, the way they were in the time of the legend.

But that’s really not the gist of The Green Knight. Instead, the movie is a tale of how legends often get spun without strict adherence to the truth beneath them.

Well that's a bummer.

You can go watch Black Widow.

It lost a ton of money for Disney and ScarJo sued them. Now ScarJo has been blacklisted from Disney and her new film with them was scrapped.

Looks like Marvel's next planned release about some Chinese dude nobody cared about (especially the Chinese people) is on hiatus too.

Seriously screw superhero movies. Why are people still spending money on them?

It's time for them to die.

Oh... What's that? "Green Knight" isn't a superhero movie you say?

Oh. It's a stupid ripoff of King Arthur shit that's already been done to death?

Jesus Christ, Hollywood. Fire all of your people now and start looking at some scripts that are original for once in this fucking millennium.

We're not paying to see your bullshit anymore.

That means nothing in 2021.

The only "Marvel Universe" movie that did worse to date was The Incredible Hulk from 2008. First off, that's not adjusted for inflation, and second, it's a REAL stretch calling that a Marvel Universe flick since it was the only one produced by Universal Pictures and came out right when Iron Man was released by Paramount Pictures, and Ed Norton played the Hulk.

That list shows two things.

1) Smoothbrain normies are starved for something to do outside of the house.

2) Hollywood is only going to make money with this model if they only release one or two new movies every month.

In a normal year, Black Widow wouldn't even be cracking the top 20 right now.

That means that either the movie was absolutely terrible, or the Marvel / Superhero age is finally dead.

The Green Knight’s Ending, Explained
Director David Lowery tackles your most burning questions.

This post contains spoilers for The Green Knight as well as the 14th-century poem it’s based on. Beware!

Director David Lowery’s highly anticipated film, The Green Knight, is adapted from the anonymously written 14th-century poem “Sir Gawain and the Green Knight,” which most English majors have had to read at least once. It tells a rather simple story about King Arthur’s nephew Sir Gawain, who accepts a challenge from a supernaturally oversized knight on New Year’s Eve—and has one year to deliver on his side of the bargain. On his journey to find the Green Knight, Gawain encounters the usual Arthurian tests of honor and character, and comes out the other side a little more worse for wear than some of his fellow knights of the Round Table.

Even those very familiar with the poem might be confounded by elements of Lowery’s adaptation starring Dev Patel. And while some aspects are intentionally vague, in a long-ranging chat with Vanity Fair, Lowery did his best to clear up some mysteries—starting, of course, with that very puzzling ending.
