You have asked about films which did some interesting Box Office trends.
Check out Star Wars IV. If comparing to SoF in the chart, use inflation adjusted.
They are not really similar, but SWIV does have a ramp up in Box Office after something like 20 days, it looks like.
It was not a highly anticipated film, Hamill, Ford, and Fisher never got a Red Carpet celebration until 20 years later, for some anniversary or re-issue or another Episode. After release, it picked up steam. I recall news crews interviewing kids who had seen it 7 times - which was something new back then.

I have heard an interview with Tim Ballard, the Real Life hero/protagonist of Sound of Freedom.
He stated that the events of the film, the Operation, occurred in October 2014. He points out that some pedophiles and groomers are alluding that the film is connected to something called Qanon.
Apparently, Oct 2014 predates Qanon.
His Congressional Testimony in 2015 predates Qanon.
The film completion in 2018 predates Qanon.
He has apparently paid to have the actual kids, the victims, brought up to America now.
They are all 9 years older now. He has offered to let the Fake News pedophiles and groomers talk to these actual victims, and try to convince them that they were really not rescued from their Slave lives, being raped repeatedly every day, and that they are really just part of some anti-Libtard conspiracy. Sounds like none of the Fake News outlets have taken them up on this offer.

For those who want to help the plight of the children, he said to check out thespearfund.org
https://thespearfund.org/

I saw that James Woods had a nice comment on 8 July - maybe that was on tweeter.

Video of Sound of Freedom having fake sold-out screenings goes viral online

Astroturfing is the use of fake grassroots efforts that primarily focus on influencing public opinion and typically are funded by corporations and political entities.

If the theaters are full and shows are completely sold out, then why is no one seated inside? Many social media users have been claiming that movie makers are just astroturfing, which is a term used when people try to create a buzz around something by giving the impression of public support.

I'm surprised you didn't mention that SoF was less than $18k behind MI7 on Wednesday.

I just finally saw those numbers right now.

Crazy!

And it made $1,446 per theater compared to MI7's $1,096.

https://www.the-numbers.com/daily-box-office-chart

It looks like SoF added another 20 theaters this weekend. Nothing huge, but that's 3 weekends in a row after opening weekend where it gained theaters, which just might be another record for a wide release.

I don't know if the streak of making more money per day than the previous week will hold over the weekend, not just because of the small theater gain but simply because it was already amazing (and possibly unprecedented) to be putting out such great 2nd and 3rd week numbers in the first place, but it should do it again Thursday night and that will make it 9 nights in a row where it did so.

I wonder how it will hold up over the weekend.

I have seen SoF and it is craptacular movie. Why pay to see Sound of Freedom when it is available for free?

But even free is too high a price for such a movie. The movie-makers should pay you for watching this particular product. Take away the noise surrounding it, and Sound of Freedom has distinct cinematic ambitions: a non-graphic horror film with what could be called an art-house sensibility for muted rage and precise, striking shadows derived from an already bleak world. If “Sound of Freedom” were less concerned with being something "important," it could be more than a mood, it could be a movie.

second if you read the islamic books can you describe to me what kind of pervert, sicko, terrorist, pedophile the founder of islam was?

you keep claiming to be an expert in people and history and solutions to human trafficking and you claim to be an expert in islam

if you can not explain why you lie about your understanding of jihdi pedophile terrorists and islamism

Can you at least explain why you now post illegal links on Haken's Firefly site?

Will SoF add more theaters tomorrow?

I suspect today, Thursday, SoF will take the lead for the Domestic BO for the day.

SoF takes #1 again at Box Office, on 17th day.
DR is currently $5.354468 M behind in Total Domestic BO.

I guess you can say that, just because previews are never counted in the top list and are rolled into Friday.

That was a sad Thursday showing for both SoF and MI7 though. Now I know why I heard Tom Cruise was pissed off that Barbie and Oppenheimer were both coming out so soon after MI7 was released.

Quote:

Now we wait and see if my initial front-loaded theory holds any water. Oppenheimer must really be taking a bite out of SoF's audience otherwise, because I was sure that Thursday would be the 9th day that it made more money than the same day on the previous week and it took a 19% loss instead.

Bummer... About both of them.

Anything the Legacy Media wants to pump up is something I want to see lose. After watching that happen all year up until now, last night was extremely disappointing.

Nah. Sound of Freedom is the clear winner.

Not only did it make its production budget back by many, many more multiples than The Little Mermaid, but it also made the studio more money in total than TLM made for Disney. By twice as much and counting. And that's only assuming that the Rule of Thumb is still 2.0 and not 2.5 as Variety.com claimed it is now. Otherwise TLM lost Disney $50 Million.

It does suck for Tom Cruise though.

This has nothing to do with Trump. Almost nothing you talk about has anything to do with Trump, but Trump is all you ever think about.

Does anybody find this ironic: After Republicans worked tirelessly since their inception and successfully abolished the Democrat Party's legal Slavery, all it took was installing Obamination to bring Slavery back into a new heyday - with more Slaves during Obama than any time in history, including when Slavery was legal.

Predictions from 07/13:

Quote:

I fully expect SoF to jump from 10 to 6 by the end of the weekend on the 2nd list. It would have been 5th, but until/unless The Red Door slows down faster, it's going to be behind. Congratulations to The Red Door for coming out of nowhere and taking 1st place on the first list, for highest grossing opening weekend worldwide vs. production budget.

Keep in mind that Sound of Freedom is the only movie on this list that didn't have a worldwide box office, and all of these numbers are just from the US Box office... Otherwise, I think it had a very good chance of taking 1st place above The Red Door. I'm not even sure if SoF was shown in Canada or not, tbh...

Quote:

So... I was wrong with my prediction SoF wouldn't gain many, if any theaters this weekend. Bruce is reporting 3,265 theaters this week, for a whopping increase of 413 theaters. I've never seen this happen two weekends in a row like this before. Hopefully it doesn't drop the ball.

I still think it will be 6th place after this weekend, unless The Red Door suddenly flops. I don't see any possibility of SoF catching up with Miles Morales 2 by Sunday night, even with the additional theaters.

There are 2 reasons why I say only 6th place for the weekend for SoF.

Number 1 is because Insidious: The Red Door started out of the gates as the 1st place movie all year regarding the ratio of Worldwide Box Office vs. Production Budget and hasn't really slowed down all that much. SoF is going to have to catch up to that. It may take another week or two.

Number 2 is because there's a huge difference between the current #4 and numbers 5-9 which are all in the 400-500% range.

The Miles Morales sequel is 646%. It's slowed down to only $1 Million during weekdays and only had $2-3 Million per day last weekend, so SoF will gain quickly on it if it doesn't falter, but MM2 is still improving that ratio on what is already a decent gap. It will be 10 days to over two weeks before SoF catches up to it.

3rd place is Evil Dead Rise, which will not improve since it's out of theaters, but it's at 768%, so it will take even longer to reach that.

M3GAN and SMB are light years away. I'm not saying that SoF won't catch up to them, but they've both got about 1000% on SoF right now.

SoF is 6th place now, and for exactly the reasons I said it would be.

It leap-frogged over all the 400% movies in 5th-9th place, just as I knew it would, and even though Insidious slowed down, The Red Door was able to end up at 775% of its production budget after Monday while SoF is "only" at 650% right now.

Where I did fail in my prediction was saying that it would take SoF 10 days to over 2 weeks to beat Miles Morales 2. With the insane legs on SoF and Monday being the 6th of 6 straight days where it made more money than the same day the previous week and Miles Morales 2 only making around 800k on Monday compared to SoF's nearly $5 Million, it won't take but another day or two for SoF's current 650% to displace MM2's 664%... it will only take 6 days max to overcome MM2.

By next weekend I expect SoF to be 3rd place on the second list, meaning that it will already be more than halfway to reaching number one on the list.

M3GAN made $180,674,091 off of a $12 Million budget to take 1st place.

SMB made $1,348,575,859 off of a $100 Million budget to take 2nd place.

SoF will need to make $187.6 Million to take 2nd place, and it will need to make $206.64 Million to take 1st place for 2023.

--------------------------------------------------

How you do anything is how you do everything.

Methinks SoF will pass through 1,000% around Wednesday.

Will DR Domestic BO ever catch up to SoF?

DR is currently $5.5 M behind in Total Domestic BO, as of Friday.

Also, Thurs DR was under $800 per theater.

I had posted the Friday numbers from The Numbers, which were later updated. Bruce had underestimated, again. And he knocked SoF under DR, in error.

He also underpredicted SoF for the weekend, where it took 3rd place over DR, instead of 4th place as he predicted.
DR is $5.8M behind SoF in Domestic BO, and falling.

SoF has International dates listed on imdb. Mexico and UK. Aug 31 and Sept 1.

Barbie was overestimated, Oppy was underestimated.

SoF numbers for Thurs, Fri, Sat were still higher Box Office than 2 weeks prior. Sunday seems the first day where Box office is the lowest for that day of the week, in the run.

*NOTE: Some movies on this list actually went down one or two percentage points this week, including Fast X and Guardians of the Galaxy. I don't know what happened here, but maybe the international numbers weren't correct and Bruce fixed them. Just wanted to note this because it's happened to at least 3 movies from last week even though they're still making a few bucks in the domestic theaters.

Losers* (The movies who haven't doubled their production budget to cover marketing budgets and theater takes. Unless marked with [FINAL], they still have an opportunity to leave the Losers list.):

And with Insidious: The Red Door finally slowing down, it shouldn't be long before it catches up and takes 3rd place. I:tRD increased from 775% to 788% last night. (36% vs 13% is nearly a 3-to-1 increase for SoF over I:tRD.

If SoF doesn't catch Insidious by Sunday night, it almost certainly will when we get Monday's numbers.

And at that point it should only be less than 500% away from SMB and probably almost exactly 600% under M3GAN.

Mostly right, except for Insidious: The Red Door... That movie did better than I expected it would this weekend with the crowded box office and is still holding pretty strong with 975% vs SoF's 886%.

But it's only 469% behind Super Mario Bros. and 589% behind M3GAN now.

I'm going to make a 3rd list to add to these. It will be how much money in total the movies made after the 2x Rule of Thumb. I'm only going to add movies to the list once they finish their run in the theaters.

[Worldwide Box Office - (Production Budget *2)]

1. John Wick: Chapter 4 + $232,249,673
2. M3GAN + $156,902,618
3. Creed III + $124,448,615
4. Evil Dead Rise + $108,017,671
5. Scream IV + $98,834,132
6. Ant Man and the Wasp: Quantumania + $63,635,303
7. Fast X + $38,989,106
8. The Pope's Exorcist + $36,913,467
9. Mummies + $29,172,225
10. Jesus Revolution + $23,150,304
11. Cocaine Bear + $19,301,105
12. Knock at the Cabin + $14,712,293

TOTAL GAINS ON BOX OFFICE FINISHES 2023: $946,326,512

Losers
1. The Flash - $132,051,506
2. Shazam: Fury of the Gods - $117,807,638
3. Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves - $92,105,230
4. AIR - $50,551,734
5. 65 - $33,758,973
6. Magic Mike's Last Dance - $33,729,498

TOTAL LOSSES ON BOX OFFICE FINISHES 2023: $460,004,579

TOTAL GAIN/LOSS ON BOX OFFICE FINISHES 2023: $486,321,933

That's pretty terrible. Less than Half a Billion for the total US Hollywood Box Office and it's already just a week shy of August. Disney used to consider it a failure if just ONE of their movies didn't make them this much money.

Granted, even though there are big time losers in the theaters like Indy 5 right now that will bring the number down, there are some movies STILL in the box office like Guardians 3 and Super Mario Bros that will add a TON of money to that total once they're finally out of theaters. SMB alone will more than triple that current figure.

I'm just not going to add any movies to this last list until the numbers are finished. I'm already doing 3 other lists that take a lot of effort to update every week.

In the meantime, the list is still valuable if you had your eye on a particular movie and wanted to see how it was stacking up to the movies that are done. For example, Sound of Freedom is currently +$96,433,512, which would place it number 6 on the list, and The Little Mermaid is currently at +$48,481,661 which would put it number 8 on the list (number 9, if you've already added Sound of Freedom back, of course).

Yeah... I don't know if that international release is going to happen or not. The problem is that they waited too long and a lot of the original hype has died down because of stupid Barbieheimer weekend. Oppenheimer is certainly taking a bite out of it. It only grossed $3.1 Million on Monday and less than $1k per theater, which is the lowest for both numbers since the start of its run. Not bad, but the days of this making more money week after week here in the States is over, and the losses will get heavier if it ends up losing theaters this weekend.

Even with the lowest daily number, it's jumped to 914% of its production budget. Insidious only made about $1 Million on Monday and increased to 981%, so the gap continues to close on those two.

Will SoF catch up to SMB's 1,355% or M3GAN's 1,475% returns? Time will tell...

SoF at 936% return after Tuesday.
Insidious: The Red Door at 975%.

Once again, I'm not sure how a movie is going down, but now that I've been paying attention to so many different movies this seems to be a regular event at the-numbers.com. Insidious just completely lost its 6% Monday night gain and went back down to Sunday night's percentage. Meanwhile, SoF has gone up 50% since Sunday's 886% figure in that time.

Maybe Bruce is smoking crack?

After going up to 981% from 975% on Monday night and then going back down to 975% after Tuesday night, Insidious only pulled in $940,000 on Wednesday and is now at 994%. That's probably quite a bit more accurate and whatever got subtracted on Tuesday night was added back in.

No word on SoF yet. I'm guessing around $3 Million for Wednesday, which would make it 958%. If correct, SoF has caught up 53% on Insidious between Monday and Wednesday.

Yeah. 958% for SoF after Wednesday. 994% for Insidious.

They are in 4th and 3rd place for Worldwide Box Office vs. Production Budget, respectively.

SoF is 36% behind Insidious (which is still getting at least 6%-10% per day still).
SoF is 397% behind Super Mario Bros. (which is getting about nil % per day now).
SoF is 517% behind M3GAN (which hasn't been in the BO for months now).

1. M3GAN made 1,475% of its production budget of $12 Million. [FINAL]
2. Super Mario Bros Movie made 1,355% of its production budget of $100 Million.

Even with Barbie adding theaters and Disney's Haunted Mansion movie coming out this week, SoF added yet another 126 theaters to bring the count up to 3,411.

My old man today said that he heard it was also going to be opening in Australia and some Latin American countries outside of Mexico.

I don't see anything about those other Latin American countries, but I do see that Australia AND Spain are now on the international release list.

It appears that SoF already opened in Australia on the 24th although no numbers have come in yet. The Spain release date is October 11th.

979% for SoF. 1,000% for Insidious after Thursday night.

SoF is 21% behind Insidious (which is still getting at least 6%-10% per day still).
SoF is 376% behind Super Mario Bros. (which is getting about nil % per day now).
SoF is 496% behind M3GAN (which hasn't been in the BO for months now).

Weakest day in the Domestic Box Office for SoF so far with just under $2.6 Million.

It should overcome Insidious after Saturday night. It might not have actually beat M3GAN with just the Domestic Box Office alone, or SMB for that matter, but with the additional money it will generate overseas it shouldn't be a problem reaching number one for the year as long as Barbie runs out of steam and doesn't hold on like SMB did.

I won't be able to update much if anything with the third list that I created which states how much money a movie made a studio after the Rule of Thumb is applied. I was expecting to be able to make some updates on that this weekend, but some movies are just stubbornly persisting in a very small amount of theaters even though their runs are essentially done. The Little Mermaid will still be in 208 theaters, Super Mario Bros will be in 96 theaters, The Flash will be in 80 and Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 3 will be in 50 theaters.

Yeah. This is abnormally long to get movie numbers, for any day of the week.

BoxOfficeMojo has SoF at a projected $4 Million on Friday.

With that number, SoF will be at 1,007%, and Insidious: The Red Door would be at $1006%, meaning that SoF just barely snagged 3rd on the return list, a full day earlier than I expected it to.

So if BOM is correct, so are these numbers...

SoF is 1% ahead of Insidious, taking 3rd place on the Returns list.
SoF is 348% behind Super Mario Bros. (which is getting about nil % per day now).
SoF is 468% behind M3GAN (which hasn't been in the BO for months now).

Also, to note, although SoF has been in Australian theaters since the 24th, there are still no numbers out of Australia added to the total yet. 3 days from now, SoF will be showing in the UK and Mexico as well.

I probably won't bother fixing the above numbers if it changes slightly since it's not part of one of the official lists. I'll just have the updated numbers on all three lists hopefully on Monday.

Well it's up today...

So no, SoF did not take 3rd place from Insidious on Friday night.

Still no international numbers from Australia's July 24th launch for SOF. It will open in Mexico tomorrow and the UK on Tuesday.

Without any help overseas, it is now solidly 3rd place on the returns list.

SoF needs 291% to beat Super Mario Bros.
SoF needs 411% to beat M3GAN.

Disney's Haunted Mansion, laughably, will not be a threat. Barbie, OTOH, is already sitting at 775% worldwide return on the $100 Million budget in just 10 days with just a 43% drop projected from last weekend. As I've stated before in other threads, studios tend to downplay projections on blockbuster movies in their first few weeks when they're raking in the big bucks, so I wouldn't be surprised if that number is actually as low as only a 38 or 39% drop from last weekend when the legit numbers are in.

When I went on opening day, the shows were Sold Out and there were not a single empty seat in the showing I was at, nor in the other showings that I peeked into.
However, a friend of mine went, she could have gotten as many free tickets as she wanted from her church, and she said her showing was Sold Out,but there were many seats empty for the show.
I am not familiar with this Pay It Forward method of ticketing, how the mechanics of iot work. And then those perpetrating this result can promote false conspiracy theories about it - just like Russia Russian Collusion, which was the result of their game.

I think SoF gained 178% in the past 7 days, it's slowest week.
I expect Barbie to get $110-120M from today to next Sunday, getting up to about 1,000%.
The following 7 days only about $70-80M, for another 170%.
Not sure if Barbie will catch up to SoF. Barbie will drop below the 100% per week faster than SoF will, I expect.

In 3 weeks SoF will release in Australia.
In a month, will release in Mexico and UK. 6 weeks later in Spain. And more dates keep popping up.

Not sure if SoF will pass by SMB before 13 August, but it should by 20 August.

I don't know if I'd just jump to the conclusion that "Libtards" scarfed up free tickets to prevent honest and deserving folk from actually seeing the flick. It could just be that people weren't even aware there were free tickets to be had and/or they didn't even hear about the movie. The amount of Americans that pay attention to any news on either side is staggeringly low. Angel Studios didn't advertise this movie pretty much anywhere other than Christian radio and it would have slipped by virtually unheard of just a few years ago.

It's one thing to buy up a ton of tickets and have them available at theaters for people to watch for free, but entirely another to spread the message that they're out there. I'm sure that Angel Studios and Jim were tweeting like mad about it, but it didn't go any further than that. Angel Studios didn't take any of that huge amount of extra money they just got in their bank account to advertise free tickets to people anywhere they needed to pay to get that word out, and I'm pretty sure most of the folk who would be rushing to the theater to see it either already had money of their own to pay for a ticket or had already seen it.

I mean, think about it... If you knew of the free tickets that the person you knew was talking about, would you have taken the free tickets or would you have further supported the movie by buying a ticket when you saw it again?

My guess is that most of them just went unused. I mean, these things weren't just out there in perpetuity. They probably went to buy specific seats on specific nights, whether that theater was going to sell out or not. I'll bet that big chains like AMC just took all those online purchases and spread them out in the theaters in the showings that weren't selling out once the movie stopped selling out. From a business standpoint there's no reason for them to announce to oblivious people who are very ready to pay for the showing that their ticket was already paid for, or for them to hold on to all those "free" tickets until the end of the movie run, and I doubt very much there is any law on any books stating that is what they need to do with them.

That being said, it could have happened on some level and at some locations. I remember before the last election there were TDS suffering Leftists that were doing the same thing and grabbing up a bunch of free tickets to a Trump rally and then not showing up.

This isn't the first time I'd heard of this Pay it Forward thing being done with movie tickets. There were marketing campaigns for Captain Marvel along these lines. Buying up tickets so that little girls who's parents couldn't afford to take them to the theaters could go see what a strong independent woman looks like on the big screen. Just as there is now with SoF, there was empty sold out theaters for Captain Marvel back in 2019 as well.

NOTE: It looked as though The Flash was out of theaters last week, but it showed in 80 theaters just this last weekend. I will have to keep an eye out for this happening in the future to make sure all these numbers remain accurate. Rather than take it out of this list completely and totally change the larger picture numbers that I recorded last week, I'm just going to take "[FINAL]" off of it for the 2nd list until it is out of theaters officially.

It looks as though that's the only movie I had to add back in this week, and it also looks as though The Bogeyman finished its run on the 27th.

So no, SoF did not take 3rd place from Insidious on Friday night.

After Saturday's projections:

SoF had 1,036%; Insidious had 1,012%.

After Sunday's projections:

SoF had 1,064; Insidious had 1,019%

Yeah. SoF was underestimated again, but sadly it didn't help in relation to Insidious which found a lot of money under the international couch cushions. Insidious stubbornly remains in 3rd place, but the gap should close tonight or tomorrow for sure.

Quote:

Still no international numbers from Australia's July 24th launch for SOF. It will open in Mexico tomorrow and the UK on Tuesday.

Whoops. I didn't notice until you pointed it out below that I had my months all screwed up. I thought it already released in Australia and was opening in Mexico and the UK today and tomorrow. Boy that's late in the game... I wonder if there will still be any buzz about it for those releases when nobody is talking about it on YouTube anymore?

Quote:

Without any help overseas, it is now solidly 3rd place on the returns list.

SoF needs 291% to beat Super Mario Bros.
SoF needs 411% to beat M3GAN.

It now needs 22% to beat Insidious, 291% to beat Super Mario Bros and 411% to beat M3GAN. It is ahead of Barbie by 290%.

Quote:

Disney's Haunted Mansion, laughably, will not be a threat. Barbie, OTOH, is already sitting at 775% worldwide return on the $100 Million budget in just 10 days with just a 43% drop projected from last weekend. As I've stated before in other threads, studios tend to downplay projections on blockbuster movies in their first few weeks when they're raking in the big bucks, so I wouldn't be surprised if that number is actually as low as only a 38 or 39% drop from last weekend when the legit numbers are in.

Warner Bros. actually botched their projections and this is only one of a very small handful of times that I saw a big money blockbuster make less money than the studio projections within the first month of release, so the percentage was down by 1%.

Quote:

I think SoF gained 178% in the past 7 days, it's slowest week.

That is correct. And yes... It's slowest week.

Quote:

I expect Barbie to get $110-120M from today to next Sunday, getting up to about 1,000%.
The following 7 days only about $70-80M, for another 170%.

Right now I can tell you that Domestically Barbie made $162,022,044 on weekend one and $93,011,602 on weekend 2 for a 43% drop. And I can also tell you that Barbie roughly made $194 Million internationally on weekend one and $232 Million more during Monday through Sunday this week. But I can't tell you how much it made internationally just over the 2nd weekend.

All that being said. I think your prediction for the 7 days are sound. My guess is $116.2 Million from Monday night to Sunday night, and just a shade under $70 Million for the following 7 days. That would be a US total of around $537 Million after August 13th's numbers are finalized.

I'm basing this on the fact that Barbie didn't perform as well as Super Mario Bros did from Weekend 1 to Weekend 2, but I'm also cutting it some slack and more or less splitting the difference between what Barbie did comparatively in its second week vs. what SMB did going forward the next 2 weeks.

Quote:

Not sure if Barbie will catch up to SoF. Barbie will drop below the 100% per week faster than SoF will, I expect.

You've got to keep in mind that it's already released worldwide and 55% of the money it's made so far was overseas. Barbie started out with 356% worldwide on opening weekend, beating SoF by 56% due to this fact, and by weekend 2 it made another 418% even though it lost 43% in the Domestic Box Office on weekend 2.

Because it had no international help, by weekend 2 SoF had only made 614% of its budget compared to Barbie's 774%.

PER SUNDAY NUMBERS FOR SOF SO FAR:
Weekend 1: 300% (only Tue-Sun)
Weekend 2: 315%
Weekend 3: 270%
Weekend 4: 179% (These numbers don't exactly match up right with what I've posted elsewhere because I've been rounding up and down to the Million when doing the percentages, but they're close enough, since they still do add up to 1,064).

TOTAL SOF AFTER WEEKEND 4: 1,064%

PER SUNDAY NUMBERS FOR BARBIE SO FAR:
Weekend 1: 356% (only Thurs-Sun)
Weekend 2: 418%
Weekend 3: ? 244% (Assuming our guesses above +110% more overseas or roughly $240 M)
Weekend 4: ? 147% (Assuming our guesses above +110% more overseas or roughly $147 M)

TOTAL (THEORETICAL) FOR BARBIE AFTER WEEKEND 4: 1,165%

So... Barring real staying power either here or internationally, you're probably right that Barbie will fall below 100% per week before SoF did, but since SoF came out 2 weeks earlier that loss of percentage for Barbie is going to be 2 weeks delayed from the loss of SoF's percentage and it will still be doing quite a bit of catching up in that time, and that likely will persist unless SoF does decent numbers internationally and/or Barbie flatlines at some point.

Without doing any real math and PURELY speculating here, in two weeks the top five might look something like this:

1. M3GAN 1,475%
2. SMB 1,355%
3. SoF 1,294%
4. Insidious 1,178%
5. Barbie 1,165%

Quote:

In 3 weeks SoF will release in Australia.
In a month, will release in Mexico and UK. 6 weeks later in Spain. And more dates keep popping up.

Not sure if SoF will pass by SMB before 13 August, but it should by 20 August.

Until we were closer I wouldn't say that this comes true before the 20th of August myself. Too hard to gauge right now. I don't hear a lot about the movie anymore. I feel I'm being a little over-generous possibly with the future percentages that SoF keeps in the next two weeks above, but because the movie has chronically defied my expectations for it, I'm not ready to start giving it 50% drops week over week just yet, even though it did fall around 38% from last week this time around.

If I'm wrong and I should be deducting more, it's possible SoF could be as low as around 1,200 in 2 weeks. Safely above Insidious at that point, but easily beaten by Barbie over the following week, at least until any decent international numbers come in. It is very possible that we could see an event where Barbie eclipses SoF for a week or two and then falls back behind it. I would imagine that would be another extremely rare event that nobody has ever bothered calculating before.

You are right. I made a horrifying mistake because I didn't actually download the movie. So much shame and embarrassment I feel for mislabeling a movie.

That movie is "To Freedom" rather than "Sound of Freedom" https://www.imdb.com/title/tt25573976/

I see that The Pirate Bay has both movies under the title "Sound of Freedom".

Also, every single day since release, SoF has more $ per screen that Indy5.

Will DR Domestic BO ever catch up to SoF?

DR is $10.9M behind SoF in Domestic BO, and falling.

Monday, SoF made 14% of it's Budget in Domestic BO on it's 28th day.
Barbie made 15% Domestic on it's 11th day.

Monday, WokeSayGay Mansion dropped 61% from Sunday, more than any other save Pedo Flasher, and I expect it to quickly drop below SoF.

I did forget to mention that a week ago, DR was still the Widest Release with 4,321 theaters.

I think there will be an interesting experiment in the next month. How much do Aussies, Brits, Mexicans depend upon Utoob for their news, what they should think or feel, compared to Woke couch potatoes pink weirdos from America?
I know Mexicans are extremely Catholic.
I've heard that Spanish are as well, but I'm not certain of that.
I think Irish have historically been Catholic (Roman, Papists) as well.

I have failed to mention things Inoticed when I watched Soound of Freedom a second time.

The music, score were beautiful, poignant, and haunting. If the same piece, the final time has lyrics, which are translated to English and shown in subscript.

Alannah De La Rossa is listed in the credits, but I didn't catch exactly what the credit was. It was after character credits, with a group of Stand-In credits.

Many of the actors on the imdb page now have pictures, images - before they were mostly blank.

The imdb page for Cristal Aparicio as Rocio now has photos, from her screen shots in Sound of Freedom, which obviously were 5 years ago.

I forgot to mention the first time that the credits do include a list of the THOUSANDS of individuals and families who supported or contributed or funded this production, or it's Distribution campaign - this may be the "crowd-funding" apparatus I have read about. These are listed primarily in alphabetical order.

Again this second time, nobody left the theater during the countdown to the Special Message.

6ixStringJack, you should hire a lawyer to sue Haken for failing to protect the copyrights and intellectual property rights of Sound of Freedom's production company. There are litigators who will be pleased to take your money for several years until you realize that you are a loser.
