Nope. This is all news to me. I don't follow Trump on Truth Social. I don't go to church. I don't watch religious flicks. And I don't take anything somebody says that is hyper-religious like this seriously.

I've never seen Passion of the Christ. I did see Jim Cavezel in a remake of the TV show The Prisoner once. He's a good actor. I don't imagine we'd have a very interesting conversation in real life though. I tend to shut religious people talking about religion down very quickly.

I just love seeing a movie with a $14 Million budget destroy Hollywood, and then I get a double dose of entertainment when the people who hate on it are all pedophile groomer Democrats.

You should sit this one out and just let Hollywood take the L this time, son.

Saturday/Sunday Numbers:

1. M3GAN - 1,475% [FINAL]
2. Super Mario Bros - 1,357% (-1%)
3. Sound of Freedom - 1,271% (+14%)
4. Insidious: The Red Door - 1,163% (+0%)
5. Talk to Me - 956% (+67%)
6. Barbie - 846% (+10%)

SoF needs 87% to beat SMB. (About $12 Million)
SoF needs 204% to beat M3GAN. (About $29 Million)
SoF is 315% above Talk to Me.
SoF is 425% above Barbie.

Sound of Freedom impresses me yet again. According to projections, it still made over a million on Saturday, and then made enough on Sunday to get a percentage boost both days. I truly did not see that one coming. Leaves it at about a $400k deficit for rounding on Monday though, so it won't see another one until Tuesday. Maybe even Wednesday, if it can't make $900k in two week days anymore. But for the first time we may start seeing some international numbers out of South Africa.

SoF breaks the 100% barrier and now only needs 87% more vs. Production Budget to beat Super Mario Bros., and that's still without any International numbers. It needs to make just a little more than twice its Production Budget to take first place for 2023 over M3GAN.

Oh... and I neglected to put Talk To Me above Barbie when it got there. Can't even remember what day now that it happened, but it happened before the weekend.

6ix and JewelStaiteFan and every Trumptard I know just so happen to have the same obsession with Sound of Freedom. You Trumptards are so full of bullshit that your lives fall apart and you have to find scapegoats like Woke/Disney/Hollywood and leaders like Mein Führer Donald Trump to give your shapeless lives readymade enemies, structure, and purpose.

I fully expect most folk will not have interest in this, but I think it is curious. Not only because Sound of Freedom is such a wonderful film, but also because it is breaking the mold, much like Maverick did last year.

Barbie has been benefitting from strong summer weekday sales, which SMB did not have. (SMB is a Seth Rogan film?) SoF has had strong Saturday and Sunday figures, the days when honest working folk are not working.

Over the weekend, Barbie made 53.0% of it's Production Budget. Sound of Freedom made 54.0% of it's Production Budget.

I m using $14M as the Production Budget figure for Sof, and $100M for Barbie. Barbie's international balances may bounce around, but this table is using the stated observation of 47.5% Domestic and 52.5% International.

All figures not tagged with % are Millions of Dollars.
For Barbie figures, the same figures are both $Millions, but also % of Production Budget.
1st column is Date.
2nd column is SoF Single Day BO.
3rd column is Single Day BO % of Budget.
4th and 5th are Total Cummulative Box Office, and then % of Budget.
6th and 7th are Last 7 Days of Box Office, and then % of Budget. All for Sound of Freedom.
8th column is Barbie single Day Domestic Box Office.
9th column is the % of Budget gain on SoF % for the same day.
10th column is the Total of Barbie's Domestic Box Office.
11th column is the total of the Last 7 Days of Barbie's Domestic Box Office.
12th is the % gain on SoF for the same Last 7 Day period.
13th column - 18th columns are the same things, but for Worldwide Box Office.

July 30 was the first day that Barbie made less Domestic BO % of Budget than SoF did.
Then again on 5 and 6 August.

--------------------
Took me a few days to build this table, but finally got it.

It is currently taking about 7 days for Barbie WWBO to gain 100% on SoF.
Barbie will have Japan release this week.
-------------------
Barbie has not added International figures in days.
If trends continued, then according to this table, Barbie would not have enough to catch up to SoF in the next week. Barbie currently at 1201% of $100M denominator, and falling to less gains each day. Barbie behind SoF by 47% with these calculations, and currently takes 7 days to gain 64%.

Barbie made about the same on Friday and Sunday.

As usual, SoF projections were under actual, and everybody else was over-estimated. On Sunday, SoF increased it's projected Friday BO by 1.2%, and when the numbers turned black, added more on Saturday and more than another 1% on Sunday.

Today's updated International figures for Barbie put it at 1280% of $100M, which was the denominator used for building this table. So that would be 11% more than SoF on the same day. Barbie was showing 1227% as of yesterday. At that point, it had 45.5% Domestic and 54.5% International.

If trends continue, I expect SoF to gain another 50% this week (end 20 Aug), and another 30% the next week (end 27 Aug), making it about 1315%.
Using Oppy as a guide, 1/5 of the International Box Office comes from UK, Australia, Mexico. i expect $18M from these 3, which would make it about 1445% when these are tallied. Australia starts trickling in after 24 Aug, and UK/Mexico after 1 Sep.

I do understand that Barbie has a Production Budget of $145M. However, my other table is done to show the numerical trends I had noticed, and I will continue that without changing the denominator, to demonstrate the trend.
If Barbie had continued the trend, I had seen that Barbie would overtake SoF in 2 weeks, and then 2 weeks later would fall below SoF again. That would be IF the summer weekdays continued past 20 Aug, and SoF had no Box office from International.

----------------------------
Bruce's predictions for the weekend do not show SoF in the Top Ten.

Topsy turvy figures at The Numbers this weekend.
SoF was showing Friday and Sat theater counts the same as last week, then dropped to about 2,100 on Sunday.
Currently listing 2,152 for Friday; 1,501 for Saturday; and 2,152 for Sunday.

Today is the 49th day of release for SoF. 7 weeks. Saturday was showing more theater count than in it's opening days. Although practically at the bottom of the 11 wide-release films, still bouncing up to 9th place (Sunday). And more than 4 times the Box Office of the next tier, the 12th place film. And hitting 8th place for $ per theater (Saturday).

For the weekend, SoF came in at 10th., just ahead of Bram Stoker's Ship. And just below Dead Reckoning - which is still $13M behind in Dom BO.

I don't expect South Africa figures to show up soon. But I would not be surprised to see Australia figures next Monday.

NOTE: I doubt I'll get to updating the 4 lists and the Disney list tonight, so when I get to it this week it may already have Monday's numbers baked in as well. Hopefully I get to them early enough tomorrow if I don't get to them tonight.

Post-Weekend Numbers with International:

1. M3GAN - 1,475% [FINAL]
2. Super Mario Bros - 1,357% (0%)
3. Sound of Freedom - 1,271% (+0%)
4. Insidious: The Red Door - 1,163% (+0%)
5. Talk to Me - 956% (+0%)
6. Barbie - 883% (+37%)

SoF needs 87% to beat SMB. (About $12 Million)
SoF needs 204% to beat M3GAN. (About $29 Million)
SoF is 315% above Talk to Me.
SoF is 388% above Barbie.

No international numbers for Sound of Freedom yet.

I'm not sure if there were internationals added for Talk To Me yet. It didn't go up a percentage from yesterday, but since I round to the nearest Million and don't keep track of dollar amounts on the daily updates, I have no way of telling if it doesn't go up.

Even though Insidious didn't go up any points, I'm pretty sure that international numbers did come in for that movie now. It's just over $186 Million right now, and I do believe I've been rounding up to $186 for quite a while up until today.

08/21/2022 LISTS:

*Yes. I'm updating these a day late, but very few movies have added Monday's projections as I started this, and since they're rounded numbers they're easy to remove from the total, so the lists will still reflect the after-weekend totals as per usual.

LIST 1: WORLDWIDE OPENING VS. PRODUCTION BUDGET

As of 08/21/2023, this list includes Worldwide Opening Weekend and percentage of Production Budget made on opening weekend for all American made films currently in the global top 80 that had Production Budget info available.

I've also added Strays which just released this weekend. Even though it's only made $8 Million so far, it should easily reach the $20 or so Million it needs to get in the top 80.

*NOTE: This is the total Worldwide Box Office profits using the 2.0x Rule of Thumb. I will eventually get around to adding the 2.5x Rule of Thumb for comparison. I may wait until the year is over so I'm not re-doing all that math every time Bruce adds or subtracts international numbers after the movie finishes its run.

LIST 4: DAYS IT TOOK FOR THE FILM TO BREAK EVEN (FOR 2.0X RULE OF THUMB):

Short Explanation: Take the movie's % of Domestic/International, consider that the constant split for the entire run of the movie. Use those percentages to figure out what day it made enough in the US to have made twice the production budget with the international figure on that day. Tie breaker for days goes to the movie that made the most money above two times the production budget.

(The least scientific of the three lists, but all we can work with given the abysmal state of keeping track of international numbers in 2023)

Also, until a movie is finished, this list would bounce around all over the place, so I'm not going to update any of these numbers going forward until a movie is [FINAL] and the movie will just stay in whatever place it falls on the day I put it on this list until the movie ends its theatrical run.

Funny. It never bothered you when all of your guys were partying with Epstein.

Also. 1992. Epstein didn't buy his island full of underage girls that your pedophile Democrat politicians diddled until 1998.

Google it, retard.

Monday's Numbers:

1. M3GAN - 1,475% [FINAL]
2. Super Mario Bros - 1,357% (0%)
3. Sound of Freedom - 1,271% (+0%)
4. Insidious: The Red Door - 1,163% (+0%)
5. Talk to Me - 1,044% (+88%) [No new Domestic numbers since Sunday. Likely a 12% gain.]
6. Barbie - 885% (+2%)

SoF needs 87% to beat SMB. (About $12 Million)
SoF needs 204% to beat M3GAN. (About $29 Million)
SoF is 227% above Talk to Me.
SoF is 386% above Barbie.

No international numbers for Sound of Freedom yet. Unless Cheap Seat Tuesday has $425k in store for Sound of Freedom, it won't see a percentage increase until Wednesday. It probably has another 2 after that through Sunday.

Internationals came in very late on Monday or early Tuesday for an 88% increase on Talk to Me. No new Domestic numbers for it since Sunday though. If Talk To Me had a larger international presence, it would likely take 1st place for the year because of its 4.5 Million budget. By next weekend, unless good international numbers start getting posted for SoF, it's very likely it will only be 100 points behind.

Barbie has really slowed down this week, posting only a 2% gain yesterday. The 2,647,855 that it did pull in was enough to beat Blue Beetle on its 4th day by nearly $500k, however.

The Flash's Production Budget remains in question for now. I will not be changing it from $200 Million on my lists unless solid information comes out. I just wanted to note this for my lists and let's keep an ear to the ground about it going forward.

Speaking of The Flash...

You mentioned earlier than anybody else that I'd heard from that The Flash may have cost $300 Million instead of the reported $200 Million, but when I asked for links on that you didn't respond.

However, just yesterday I heard the same thing myself.

https://www.cbr.com/the-flash-budget-bigger-dceu/

They reference THIS article, which was about merchandising of movies this year:

https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/business/business-news/barbie-transf
ormers-ninja-turtles-summer-toys-1235566369/amp
/

I'm not going to change anything in my lists yet based off of this source, which everyone is now reporting on. Given that the article wasn't even about the Box Office or The Flash specifically, this could possibly have been a typo that just got "telephoned" out of control once somebody caught it.

It will be on my radar going forward though.

1. M3GAN - 1,475% [FINAL]
2. Super Mario Bros - 1,358% (+1%)

4. Insidious: The Red Door - 1,163% (+0%)
5. Talk to Me - 1,044% (+88%) [No new Domestic numbers since Sunday. Likely a 24% gain for Monday/Tuesday.]
6. Barbie - 887% (+2%)

SoF needs 88% to beat SMB. (About $13 Million)
SoF needs 204% to beat M3GAN. (About $29 Million)
SoF is 227% above Talk to Me.
SoF is 384% above Barbie.

Super Mario Bros got another million and went up a point. Big surprise.

No international numbers for Sound of Freedom yet. SoF did not make enough on cheap seat Tuesday to go up at all today. It will tomorrow. Since it is only $25k shy of rounding up to the next million, I think it can eek out 3 percentage bumps by Sunday night, but it's really running out of gas quick in the States at this point and could see as few as 2 or even only 1 percentage bump from Monday to next Sunday after that. 21% by Sunday will get it to 67% behind Super Mario Bros and 183% behind M3GAN, with about $10 Million needed to beat SMB and $26 Million needed to beat M3GAN for the top spot.

Without any numbers in yet, I've tried to gauge buzz in South Africa about the movie but I haven't come up with anything except for articles before it was released there.

No new Domestic numbers on Talk To Me since Sunday, which is likely just a few points more than 200% behind SoF at this point.

Barbie beat Blue Beetle again.

------------------
Today's updated International figures for Barbie put it at 1280% of $100M, which was the denominator used for building this table. So that would be 11% more than SoF on the same day. Barbie was showing 1227% as of yesterday. At that point, it had 45.5% Domestic and 54.5% International.

DR is having better Box Office than SoF lately, but it's Domestic total remains $13M behind.

Went to see SoF again yesterday. The 3rd time I tried, it was Sold Out again and I was not allowed to see it. This time I did see it, the 3rd time. This was in a vintage cinema, with $4 shows, every show, every seat, and the largest screens in the county. Right next to Barbie's $4 shows.
Planning to see Retribution next week, so wanted to sneak this one in before running out of time.

Angel Studios pointed out that in the history of Hollywood, 10 films have made more than 35% more on their 2nd weekend than on their 1st weekend.
All 10 were during the Christmas Holidays.
Until Sound of Freedom.

I saw that over a month ago, but I didn't ever repeat it here.

They said that. But then they left no citations or even mentioned one of the movies they're talking about.

You can't research that on the-numbers.com without individually looking at every single movie. At least not on the free tier. I tried.

It could be true. It could also be completely fabricated as well.

JSF: Barbie only has about 2 weeks of summer remaining, then it will likely plateau, or flatline. Not sure if it will be able to catch SMB once summer ends.

It's less than $70 Million behind SMB right now, and it's still pulling in 2.5 to 3.5 Million per day on week days Domestic. Barbie should easily be able to beat SMB as the highest grossing movie of 2023 before it's out of theaters now.

Barbie did overtake SMB as the highest grossing movie in the United States as of yesterday.

JSF: SoF doesn't need gobs of international sales to gain 100% more - only $14M.

Quote:

SIX: Yeah. It could very well still beat M3GAN and take number 1. But that depends on if the international release is "REAL" or not. If it gets 700+ theaters in places like UK and Australia like Barbie did, it should not have any problems finishing out the year in first place. However, if this is simply a formality and they're going to just dump this movie in only about 50 theaters in each international location, the international box office numbers are only going to amount to a few million dollars.

Time will tell. It's a shame that the international release dates are so late and aren't even going to start until all the hype in the US has long died down.

Well... As I was concerned about, the release of SoF, at least according to this article, is a joke:

Quote:

The first 50 000 tickets are now available for South Africa, providing people who can’t afford cinema tickets the opportunity to see it at one of the 43 cinemas releasing the film.

43 cinemas...

I tried to compare that to Barbie, but although SA is on the list of countries showing it internationally, it doesn't appear the entire line for SA is populated. And then I saw the "Maximum Screens" number which reads "94" next to the "Theatrical Engagements" number which also read "94" and I thought, well... okay. If Barbie only got 94 "screens", that could be in somewhere around 43 Theaters. Maybe South Africans don't go to the Cinema all that much, so the $1,485,572 that is recorded for Barbie since 07/21 is on the very high end of what one could hope that SoF could ever make in South Africa.

But then I looked at Super Mario Bros.'s International page...

It shows 109 for "Maximum Screens" and 944 for "Theatrical Engagements" and grew a little concerned. But then I saw the amount Super Mario made in South Africa and it's only $1,354,352.

So bottom line is I have no idea how many actual theaters either of the top 2 Domestic flicks of 2023 played at in South Africa, and I have no idea what the hell "Theatrical Engagements" even means in that table.

But neither of these flicks made even $1.5 Million in South Africa. I wouldn't expect much from it showing there.

How about the other countries? How did Barbie and SMB do there?

Australia (08/24/2023): Barbie $49 Million (8.5%) / SMB $34 Million (5.9%)
Brazil (09/21/2023): Barbie $33 Million (5.7%) / SMB $26 Million (4.5%)
Mexico (08/31/2023): Barbie $52 Million (9.0%) / SMB $85 Million (14.8%)
Spain (10/11/2023): Barbie $29 Million (5.0%) / SMB $29 Million (5.0%)
United Kingdom (09/01/2023): Barbie $108 Million (18.8%) / SMB $67 Million (11.7%)

They did quite well, actually... (Percentages above are rough estimates of how much they grossed compared to the Domestic Box Office)

To get second place from Super Mario Bros, SoF is going to need $13 Million.
That is 7.3% of its current Domestic Box Office Take.

To get first place from M3GAN, SoF is going to need $29 Million.
That is 16.3% of its current Domestic Box Office Take.

Any combination of any two of the countries results for either Barbie or Super Mario Bros (percentage of Domestic Box Office to their own box office wise) would get SoF to 2nd place. Any combination of any three of those countries results for either movie would get it to 1st place.

SoF also has another few million in the gas tank in the states too, so it only might need to make around $9-10 Million for 2nd place and $25-26 Million for 1st place.

But really... who knows. Knowing that SoF played in 43 theaters in South Africa doesn't really paint the full picture for us, since Bruce counts "screens" for international numbers. I'm curious to see how many screens SoF got there when the numbers finally start showing up.

The first real bit of info will come from Australia. It released there today. Barbie had 812 Maximum Screens in Australia, and SMB had 731.

I think if SoF even gets just 100 to 150 screens there it will probably do what it needs to do.

Wednesday's Numbers:

1. M3GAN - 1,475% [FINAL]
2. Super Mario Bros - 1,358% (+0%)
3. Sound of Freedom - 1,279% (+8%)
4. Insidious: The Red Door - 1,163% (+0%)
5. Talk to Me - 1,089% (+45%) [No new Domestic numbers since Sunday. Likely a 36% gain for Monday-Wednesday.]
6. Barbie - 889% (+2%)

SoF needs 80% to beat SMB. (About $12 Million)
SoF needs 197% to beat M3GAN. (About $28 Million)
SoF is 190% above Talk to Me.
SoF is 390% above Barbie.

No international numbers for Sound of Freedom yet. In fact, no Domestic Numbers yet today either. It only needed $25k to round up to $179 Million though, so it went up. Also, it gets a rather rare 8% boost today instead of only 7% since the percentage figure also got rounded up as well. SoF is now within 200 points of M3GAN.

Talk To Me must have had some international numbers come in since yesterday since it went up another 45% today without any new Domestic numbers since Sunday. Reporting on this one has been... weird. We're at the point where SoF is probably going to fall behind Talk To Me unless international numbers come in soon.

Barbie beat Blue Beetle again.

It's "National Cinema Day" one of the days this week, I guess... So unfortunately I don't get to retire any of the movies that should be retired. The Little Mermaid goes from 40 theaters to 1,600 theaters. Super Mario goes from 68 theaters to 1,461 theaters. Miles Morales 2 adds 214 theaters.

Indy 5 still loses 220 theaters this week though.

Asteroid City is getting an additional 276 theaters and it's so very close to breaking even with RoT 2.0x, so this might be what it needed to get out of the loser's category.

I'm pretty sure that all the movies I thought might retire this weekend are still on the list. When I update my lists on Monday or Tuesday I'll double-check that.

You can tell that last weekend's movies were a bomb and they don't have much faith in this week's new entries if they're going to pull a stunt like this. There's zero chance that the Box Office course-corrects and hits $100 Million after ruining it's 19-week streak last weekend. Hell... without Bruce's predictions for that until tomorrow, I'm going to go out on a limb and say they'll be lucky to pull in $80 Million this weekend.

Strangely, I don't see Sound of Freedom on the list of theaters this week at all. It was showing in 2,152 theaters as of Tuesday, and we still haven't gotten any numbers for it today. I wonder if this was a double oversight on Bruce's part, or of SoF was unceremoniously yanked from theaters prematurely after Tuesday? It was just $40k less than Haunted Mansion on Tuesday, and it made over 4 times what Indy 5 made on Tuesday. It made 26 times what Insidious pulled in on Tuesday and 32 times what Miles Morales 2 made. All of these movies are still in theaters and/or increased their theater counts for next week. Did they purposefully remove Sound of Freedom to make room for these movies that nobody is going to see?

Weird...

I'm still showing theaters offering tickets for Sound of Freedom near me online up through next Sunday. It must be a glitch on Bruce's end. With all of those additional theaters for trash like The Little Mermaid and movies that should have already been retired like Super Mario and Insidious, I'm suspecting that it will be announced that SoF loses quite a bit of theaters this weekend though.

Bruce doesn't have any international numbers up yet, but Box Office Mojo does:

https://www.boxofficemojo.com/releasegroup/gr3549975045/?ref_=bo_rl_su

I didn't even know it was released in Iceland, Lithuania and the UAE on the 18th along with South Africa. It looks like there are some numbers in for New Zealand where it was released today as well.

Only $267,670 in the bank internationally so far, and only $87,927 reported from South Africa where it was only released in 43 theaters.

I'm not sure how accurate any of that is right now, but if SoF wants 1st place it's going to have to perform a whole lot better than that internationally, especially if its US run is being prematurely cut off this weekend.

'Sound of Freedom' Funder Fabian Marta Arrested For Child Kidnapping

St. Louis Metropolitan Police confirmed to Newsweek that Marta, 51, from Chesterfield, Missouri, was charged on July 21, and was arrested on July 23.

A child molester funds a movie about child sex slaves. 6ixStringJack, that is "odd behavior."

Possible hit job. They can't verify anything that they've claimed.

You don't know he's a child molester. The article doesn't even claim that he's an alleged child molester. They don't have any details at all about the kidnapping. For all we know he took his own kids back from their abusive mom and step-dad.

But hey... If he was diddling kids, cut his fucking balls off and throw him in the ocean with cement shoes on. I don't protect pedophiles like you regularly do.

Newsweek also finishes the article with this:
Quote:

The production has since shocked industry insiders by competing with—and occasionally beating—the likes of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny and Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning Part One at the domestic box office in July.
That's demonstrably false. Sound of Freedom REGULARLY beat the likes of Indiana Jones and Mission Impossible and thoroughly embarrassed them and their $300 Million and $290 Million budgets with its paltry $14 Million budget at the domestic box office in July.

Not only that, it's going to beat both of those movies every single day for the rest of their runs, and it will have the highest domestic box office of all 3 of them when they leave theaters.

Yes, the resident pedophiles and groomers have jumped on the pedophile and groomer bandwagon.

These allegations are made by Jim Stewartson, who labels himself an "anti-disinformation activist" - which should give the big hint right there.

Who's disinformation is he against? Fake News disinformation? Biden disinformation?
He states that he is an activist against Qanon.
He considers truth and facts to be disinformation. He also expresses displeasure at being called out as a pedophile and groomer, just like most pedophiles and groomers dislike being called pedophiles and groomers.

Much of what Tim Ballard does could also be called Child Abduction, without permission of "guardian". When stoln children are being held or trafficked by Fake Parents, rescuing these children victims is often called "abduction" - especially by Libtard festering sh!thole cities like St. Louis.

Gosh, who could have possibly sussed out that the Libtard cops of St. Louis went overboard on a child custodial case?

Oh, right - me.

Woman having custodial interference from an aunt, this kind guy gives her shelter and a place to live, so cops arrest him.
How can we be surprised.
And then Woke pedophiles and groomers pile on to the Fake News.

So do you know anything about Sound of Freedom?

No box office numbers for today and Bruce doesn't have it listed as having any theaters in the United States this weekend.

Even Boxofficemojo.com doesn't show any Domestic numbers for today though it shows $267,670 international.

Still no updates to the Sound of Freedom situation.

There was no Domestic Box Office for it on Wednesday, and it is not on Bruce's Theater Count list for the weekend.

Now he hasn't put a Place for any movies on Wednesday after 6th place, which one could argue is because he's waiting on those numbers before determining what place MI7 and Haunted Mansion got for the day, but he only listed up to 5th place the day before and 6th place on Monday as well, even though Sound of Freedom was on those lists.

I went to Fandango and started an order process for one of the local theaters they have listed as showing it for tonight, and up until the point where you put in your email and credit card information it appears to go off without a hitch.

The AMC nearest me appears to have 2 showings today... both matinee. Looking at surrounding AMC theaters it appears to still be showing in most, but not all of them. The smaller ones that show it appear to have 2 showings per day, both in the morning and early afternoon. Larger ones might have 3 showings. None of them at night. Barbie has gotten as many as 9 showings, and Blue Beetle around 6 or 7.

So it would appear that SoF is still in theaters, so I don't know what's going on here.

Thursday's Numbers:

1. M3GAN - 1,475% [FINAL]
2. Super Mario Bros - 1,358% (+0%)
3. Sound of Freedom - 1,279% (+0%)
4. Insidious: The Red Door - 1,163% (+0%)
5. Talk to Me - 1,111% (+22%)
6. Barbie - 890% (+1%)

SoF needs 80% to beat SMB. (About $12 Million)
SoF needs 197% to beat M3GAN. (About $28 Million)
SoF is 168% above Talk to Me.
SoF is 389% above Barbie.

*NOTE: Sound of Freedom has had no updates to the Domestic Box Office total for 2 days straight now and it is not on Bruce's list for the weekly Theater count at all, despite being in 2,151 theaters on Tuesday and AMC showing that it's still in theaters.

I raised SoF 8% yesterday because it only needed $25k on Wednesday to go up another percentage. I will not change that because BoxOfficeMojo.com reports that it has made over $267k so far internationally, which is much more than it needed to go up anyhow. For now, this daily listing remains in flux for both the strangeness of this situation as well as the spotty reporting of Talk To Me's numbers. And speaking of Talk To Me, it appears that all the Domestic numbers up through Thursday have finally appeared on the lists.

Talk To Me appears to have slowed down quite a bit in the Box Office this week. I had figured that from Monday through Wednesday it would increase by around 36%, but now the numbers through Thursday have come out and it increased only 22% for all 4 days, pulling in about half of what I expected it would. It probably won't rise above Sound of Freedom at any point now unless SoF is actually exiting Domestic theaters this weekend and international numbers are slow to trickle in.

With it's micro-budget and international figures included, Talk To Me should take 4th place from Insidious: The Red Door after international figures come in along with the Weekend Domestic figures.

Even though Barbie has slowed down to the point where it's posted only a 1% gain yesterday, Barbie crushed Blue Beetle by almost $1 Million.

I wonder if Blue Beetle will lose to Barbie all weekend long and it only gets 3 days on top of the Box Office heap? Isn't that hurricane in LA done, or are we still blaming Blue Beetle's failure on the weather?

Bruce finally posted the numbers for the last two days, so I don't know what happened there. It looks like it still was in 2,152 theaters both days as well. He still hasn't changed the theater counts article and added SoF back in, so maybe when he puts his predictions out tonight it will show up again.

It only made $314k on Wednesday and $246k yesterday, just barely crawling above $179 Million, so nothing in my daily percentage updates are going to change (not that I thought they would).

Since we don't know how many theaters it might lose to make room for the asenine decision to put The Little Mermaid in 1,600 theaters and SMB in over 1,400 theaters, it's hard to make any predictions for the weekend. If it doesn't lose many theaters it might still make the $1.5 Million this weekend it would need to get 2 more percentage bumps and rise to 1,293% without international numbers added in by Sunday.

Bruce still isn't showing any international figures. BoxOfficeMojo.com still shows $267,670 international in 5 countries.

Nope. No new info from the predictions article. Since Bruce only mentions the Top 10 predictions, and he doesn't have Sound of Freedom in the Top 10 this week, that article was no help.

Mission Impossible 7 somehow started beating SoF on a daily basis in the last week by a moderate amount, given how little they're both taking in per day. Haunted Mansionwas sandwitched in between both of them and only beat SoF by around $7k yesterday.

MI7 is gaining 72 theaters for Cinema Day week, and Haunted Mansion is going to lose 550 theaters, and they'll be at 1,680 and 1,630 respectively. On the flip side, The Little Mermaid is going to show in a stupid 1,600 theaters this week and SMB in an equally stupid 1,451 theaters. If I didn't suspect that SoF is going to get bumped hard to make room for those two, I'd say that SoF would normally have dropped to somewhere around 1,500-1,600 theaters this weekend... But who knows.

How you do anything is how you do everything.

The daily figures for Wed and Thurs did not show up until Friday just before 3 pm my time - about 2 hours before you posted that they showed up. I was poking around, and they were not there, and then suddenly they appeared.

Bruce did not rank the numbers for Wed or Thurs past the point where SoF might fit in.
All week ling, each week since Talk To Me came out, he cannot rank the films from Monday through Thursday, past the point where TTM might fit in, and sometimes he ranks the weekend based upon projections, but then has had to re-rank after TTM falls short.
So, on Friday TTM showed up for the week, but then it takes him a while to go back and process the rankings for each day - it is not an automatic process, from what I've seen. It can take him a while.

I see that SoF is showing at my local theater every day this week - unless they cancel their specified show times. It is showing once per day for this week, which is the same as Harry Potter, Secret Life Pets, Coraline, Bram Stroker's Ship, TTM, and compared to 1-2 showings per day for DR, 2 per day for SMB and TLM Sing Along, and 3 per day for Jurassic Park, Oppy, WokeSayGay Mansion.

UAE had $153 K last weekend, in 39 theaters. $ per theater was 6th, less than Barbie in 146, Jailer in 116, Gran Turismo in 67, Oppy in 38.

South Africa had $87.9 K last weekend. SoF has the lowest theater count of the top 6 Films for the weekend. #2 Box Office, and highest $ per theater - more than 2x of Meg 2, which was 4th.

Iceland had $11.9 or $14.7 in 8 theaters. I'm not sure which, that table is unclear. Distributed by Sam Film. #3 ranked, and also #3 in $ per theater, unless counting DR in 1 theater. Widest release is Turtles in 13.

New Zealand had $5.6 K in 3 theaters last weekend, and did not have the yellow-coded "new entry" this week. #5 in $ per theater. Distributed by Icon - address in Australia, I think this is still a Mel Gibson unit.

Lithuania had $5.6 K in 16 theaters, and was ranked #2 in $ per theater. DR also had 16 in 6th week. Widest release was Barbie with 111 theaters.

------------------
Today's updated International figures for Barbie put it at 1280% of $100M, which was the denominator used for building this table. So that would be 11% more than SoF on the same day. Barbie was showing 1227% as of yesterday. At that point, it had 45.5% Domestic and 54.5% International.
--------------------
DR is having better Box Office than SoF lately, but it's Domestic total remains $13M behind.

Once again, Bruce isn't getting SoF data... 7:00PM on Saturday night and he still doesn't have SoF numbers up for Friday. BoxOfficeMojo.com does though. According to BOM.com it pulled in $382,003 on Friday night, and still remains in 1,602 theaters. So despite needing to make room for movies that don't deserve the theater counts for Cinema Day week, it appears that SoF wasn't affected. This is the amount of theaters I would have expected it to be playing in given how much less it's making per day right now.

Oh... and how much money did The Little Mermaid with its 1,600 theaters make? $90k

And Super Mario Bros with its 1,451 only made $62k.

Honestly... BOTH of these movies should have been out of theaters weeks ago. If you REALLY wanted to celebrate Cinema Day the right way, you could have split up those theaters and showed real classics this week like Ghostbusters, Aliens and Goonies for $4 on Sunday instead of giving insane theater counts to two movies you know that anybody who wanted to see already saw them.

At least you showed Jurassic Park. I wish it had done better than only $410k in 1,224 theaters to make this a thing that Hollywood did more often, but even with that small take it crushed both TLM and SMB with less theaters.

Yeah... BoxOfficeMojo's site leaves a lot to be desired as far as navigation. But they are a good 2nd source of info sometimes.

3. Sound of Freedom - 1,279% (+0%)
4. Insidious: The Red Door - 1,163% (+0%)
5. Talk to Me - 1,133% (+22%)
6. Barbie - 893% (+3%)

SoF needs 80% to beat SMB. (About $12 Million)
SoF needs 197% to beat M3GAN. (About $28 Million)
SoF is 146% above Talk to Me.
SoF is 386% above Barbie.

SMB will get no help from the 1,451 theaters it's playing in this week for National Cinema Day. It still only managed $62k in projections for Friday. With this movie bouncing up and down 1 to 3% points every two or three days, a few tens of thousands of actual Domestic Box Office isn't going to move the needle here.

Insidious' numbers haven't come in for Friday, but they won't matter either. It's only showing in 92 theaters as of this weekend, and it only pulled in $10k to $64k per day in the last 7 days. It needs $424k to go up another percentage point. The only way that's happening this weekend is if it still has a good deal of unreported international numbers that get added.

Talk To Me pulls in $609k on Friday and gets a 22% bump in one day, which matches the 22% bump it got for Monday-Thursday combined. Talk To Me still has a chance of catching up with SoF unless good international SoF numbers start rolling in. It's only a 146% difference between them now.

Barbie only gets a 3% bump with a $4 Million Friday. We knew it was completely out of the running here once the $145 Million budget came to light, but I didn't realize just how quickly we'd see this thing dropping to and even below less than 10% gains per week.

Barbie crushed Blue Beetle by $1.4 Million on Friday. I guess it's still raining inside all of the theaters showing BB in LA then?

Bruce finally updated Wednesday-Thursday numbers for Sound of Freedom. No numbers on his site for Friday yet though, even though BoxOfficeMojo shows it made $382,003 on Friday and is still showing in 1,602 theaters this week.

I said earlier this week if it's lucky it could still see two more percentage bumps Domestically by Sunday night. That still holds true, but isn't super likely. Right now it's at $179,417,925, which means easy percentage bump on Saturday night, but it would need to gross $1,083,000 by Sunday to get the 2nd bump, and with only $382k on Friday that's probably not very likely to happen. But with National Cinema Day on Sunday, anything is possible.

If Bruce were to put the international numbers that BOM already has up by Monday morning, it probably gets the 2nd bump right there. It would mean that SoF only needs to make $408k per day the next two days to secure the 2nd bump, and that would put it just one bump behind 1,300%.

Wow. Cinema Day Weekend might have been really good to Sound of Freedom.

Weekend Projections for SoF this morning are $2,001,292.

It's still not enough to take the weekend from MI7, Talk To Me or Haunted Mansion, but all 4 movies are projected to be within $99k of each other and it appears that SoF beat all 3 of those movies on Sunday.

So...

Saturday/Sunday's Numbers (Pre-International):

1. M3GAN - 1,475% [FINAL]
2. Super Mario Bros - 1,359% (+1%)
3. Sound of Freedom - 1,293% (+14%)
4. Insidious: The Red Door - 1,163% (+0%)
5. Talk to Me - 1,156% (+23%)
6. Barbie - 924% (+31%)

SoF needs 67% to beat SMB. (About $10 Million)
SoF needs 183% to beat M3GAN. (About $26 Million)
SoF is 137% above Talk to Me.
SoF is 369% above Barbie.

No new numbers for Insidious all weekend, but it's making so little now that not even Cinema Day can get it to the next percentage bump.

Talk to Me should overtake Insidious before the weekend.

There should be no worry that SoF goes down any percentage gain after the real numbers come in. It would have to lose $537k of those studio projections for that to happen. It needs $463k for its next percentage bump though, and it won't get that from the international numbers that BoxOfficeMojo has had up most of the week. I haven't added those yet and I'll just wait for Bruce to put them up before I do.

At least some if not all of Barbie's International figures must have come in early. After making only 3% on Friday night, it makes 31% on Saturday/Sunday. The additional $13 Million it made Domestically would have only accounted for 9% of that gain.

Barbie crushed the Blue beetle by almost $4.5 Million this weekend. According to projections, it's only $200k behind Gran Turismo, so though not likely it's possible it actually took 1st place back this weekend.

I've never seen them do this before, but it appears WB severely downgraded their expectations for Barbie on Cinema Day weekend, placing it at only $15,100,000.

It's still nearly $3 Million above Blue Beetle's projections, but probably won't come close to Gran Turismo for first place now.

It would appear that they have the same type of George Soros funded child rapists working in the media in Australia as they do here.

At least, according to top Google search results, here are the stories that Australians were greeted with before and while SoF finally got its release date there.

Sound of Freedom: An anti-trafficking movie plagued by controversy has just landed in Australia

Protecting children from traffickers is a dignified cause. But this movie has been caught in a web of controversy.

SPOILER ALERT: It's two articles that sound almost identical, and are basically each just a compilation of anything that our two resident child rapists Ted and Second have popped in the thread with over the last few months.

Seriously... Has anybody even met somebody IRL that identifies as QAnon or have been able to get a definition of what the hell QAnon is other than some vague "I Hate Trump and he lives inside my brain" explanation from idiots toward thinking people.

Saturday/Sunday's Numbers (Post-International):

1. M3GAN - 1,475% [FINAL]
2. Super Mario Bros - 1,358% (-1%)
3. Sound of Freedom - 1,300% (+7%)
4. Talk to Me - 1,178% (+22%)
5. Insidious: The Red Door - 1,163% (+0%)
6. Barbie - 923% (-1%)

SoF needs 59% to beat SMB. (About $9 Million)
SoF needs 176% to beat M3GAN. (About $25 Million)
SoF is 122% above Talk to Me.
SoF is 377% above Barbie.

For the first time, Bruce has some international numbers up for SoF. (But not from quite a few countries that were up on BoxOfficeMojo days ago).

$1,438,397 in Australia and New Zealand combined, reported on 8/28 after their 8/24 opening.

Maximum screens for Australia were 352, and 101 for New Zealand. Nowhere near the 812/123 screens Barbie got. I'm still not sure what "Theatrical Engagements" means, but Barbie had 4,011 in Australia and 711 in Newzealand. Those numbers match the Maximum Screens for SoF, so now I'm thinking that this is how Bruce keeps track of how many theaters showed a movie per screen each week. (If I'm right, I expect the numbers to rise from 352/101 next week when the numbers are updated, with them being doubled if they showed in the same amount of screens and less than double if it lost screens).

Not a great showing for SoF in one of the biggest countries it's going to be seen in, and probably not good news for anyone hoping it would take 1st place this year for Worldwide Box Office vs. Production Budget either. They appear to be pretty Leftist out there in banned-gun territory (see the articles above), and I think the media did a great job shaming people out of going to see it.

Hopefully it gets much better showings in Brazil and Mexico, because Australia and New Zealand probably aren't going to account for more than about $4 Million maximum before they stop showing it.

In any event, that was enough to put Sound of Freedom up to 1,300%, and if the weekend Domestic projections weren't too low, it's only less than $25k away from going up another percentage bump tomorrow.

Super Mario Bros. went down another 1% today.

Barbie went down 1% as well after Warner Bros. downgraded their projection.

Talk To Me takes 4th place from Insidious. It's only 122% behind SoF now. Unless it slows down drastically, it will probably overtake Sound of Freedom at least until any real international numbers come in.

On Friday, DR finally rose above $13M behind SoF, according to projections. Then almost lost that edge on Sunday.

Heard that SoF was having great Box Office in CA. Apparently disruption in CA due to something called "rain" and also 5.1 Earthquake in Counties of L.A. and Ventura on 20 August caused that large drop-off in Box Office on 19 August and since. The normal gain from Friday to Saturday did not occur that weekend. I have not seen data on individual states.

Sunday SoF jumped up to highest take per screen, beating Indy5 and Red Door. It was estimated behind Red Door.

Also, every single day since release, SoF has more $ per screen that Indy5.
Even when it added more than 13% more theaters for the weekend.

---------------
Topsy turvy figures at The Numbers this weekend.

Sound of Freedom International Box Office.

I think I need to start a new table for this. Data is hard to come by, is not transparent, and seems to fluctuate a bunch. I will need to use Box Office Mojo for source data, and work from there. If other data becomes available, I will try to reconcile that.

Ummmmmmmmmmmm....

Well.

It turns out that NOBODY is likely to take 1st Place from M3GAN.

I decided that for the first time since I put the lists together I would go back to the movies I'd marked "[FINAL]" after they were out of theaters and see what changed so I could adjust those figures for the 2nd list and change the places if need be.

Apparently I never did this for M3GAN yet. That pulled in $181 Million worldwide on a $12 Million budget. That's 1,508%, which is quite a bit more than 1,475%.

It's only a $4 Million difference from the figure I had used initially when M3GAN ended its run Domestically, but that's all it needed to get that extra 33% with the $12 Million budget.

Good luck, SoF. You needed it already when you only had the 1,475% hurdle to climb.

Monday's Numbers:

1. M3GAN - 1,508% (+33%) [FINAL]
2. Super Mario Bros - 1,358% (+0%)
3. Sound of Freedom - 1,300% (+0%)
4. Talk to Me - 1,178% (+0%)
5. Insidious: The Red Door - 1,163% (+0%)
6. Barbie - 925% (+2%)

SoF needs 59% to beat SMB. (About $9 Million)
SoF needs 209% to beat M3GAN. (About $29 Million)
SoF is 122% above Talk to Me.
SoF is 377% above Barbie.

As I mentioned in my Lists post yesterday, I hadn't kept up with tracking the actual post-box-office numbers for movies who ended their run and M3GAN got an extra $4 Million somewhere in between, so M3GAN's final percentage is actually 1,508%, not 1,475%.

Super Mario and The Little mermaid embarrass themselves with $20 and $28 per theater like I knew they would. It was insane giving them 1,400 and 1,600 theaters this weekend for National Cinema Day. They both need to be retired.

Projections for Sound of Freedom on National Cinema Day were far too high by about $450k. We were only $25k short of another percentage bump as of yesterday, but now it's about $475k short. And it looks like we're going to play that game again this week where SoF numbers don't come in on time, so we don't even know what it made last night. It certainly didn't make enough to go up a percentage though.

Box Office Mojo has yet to update any of their international numbers, and hasn't even added the money from Australia and New Zealand that Bruce added on Sunday. Bruce has yet to add any of the money that BOM had for Iceland, Lithuania, South America or the UAE.

No new numbers for Talk To Me for Monday either. I think it's probably in the 200k per week day stage right now, so we probably won't see a percentage bump for that one until Wednesday.

So, excluding the catch up on M3GAN, Barbie is our only movie on the list with a percentage bump yesterday.

They just turned black for the weekend.
Sunday SoF jumped up to highest take per screen, beating Indy5 and Red Door. It was estimated behind Red Door.

Also, every single day since release, SoF has more $ per screen that Indy5.
Even when it added more than 13% more theaters for the weekend.

----------------------------
Bruce's predictions for the weekend do not show SoF in the Top Ten.

Today is the 57th day of release for SoF. 8 weeks.
No figures yet posted for Monday night SoF.
Sunday my local theater did not have any showings of SoF, but did for Fri, Sat, and the rest of this week. Theater counts did not change as listed.

I have "targets" that I expect from International, due to various factors. These are a reminder for me. They are likely to be wrong.

$14 M for UK
$7 M for Mexico, Australia, Brazil
$5 M for Peru
$3 M from NZ, Colombia, Argentina

These add up to $49 M. If they make half of that, plus another $4M from the rest of the world, then that would be $29M, and SoF would pass by Megan's 1505%.

I am not sure about some releases. Which countries are English speaking? I'll conjure that Spanish speaking countries will get a dubbed version of the film. Some countries with other languages, I don't know if they are being dubbed, or just released as "Foreign Language" film, like in art houses.

Updates from Bruce for International, plus BOM International are incomplete, missing, or conflict.

Note: in the last few minues, International data started trickling in for SoF on BOM. For instance, NZ updated, but still no Australia. Others updated also.

Anyway, SoF was ranked #1 in $/theater in S Africa for it's first seekend. So much for hype being needed for overseas success at Box office.

Wowie! First in the Box Office with $87,927 dollars. Closer to 1/4 than 1/3 of Sound of Freedom's worst day in the Domestic Box Office so far.

I wouldn't celebrate anything based off of South Africa's Box Office. It's probably showing on 43 screens on the back of black-owned barns that were stolen by the government from the white people they murdered.

I heard it was number one in Australia too. But it's not translating into any real money.

It still needs $29 Million for first place in 2023, and the US is only good for maybe $7 Million of that if it's lucky and it doesn't get yanked from theaters soon. It needs to do better.

ETA: Also keep in mind that Biden* and the Democrats are working with China to unleash Covid-20 right now, so for all we know they're going to shut down all the movie theaters worldwide again a month from now. #Resist

Sound of Freedom's Monday numbers are in. Only $157,924, which marks its first day sub-$100 per theater.

With that number I think a further $5 Million in the US is the upper limit for SoF before it falls to nothing, and that's only if it gets the same consideration that movies like Super Mario Bros and The Little Mermaid got by getting weeks upon weeks more than they should have before they get yanked. Next week it will have 3 days under $100k.

I had predicted that it would get 2 or 3 percentage bumps this week, but when I did that it only needed $525k to rise again, but the weekend projections were $450k short of reality, and SoF has now started behaving like any normal movie would this late in its run.

Now I'm predicting only 1 bump this week. It still needs $754k+ for its first boost after Monday night. With a $200k Tuesday and $160k on Wednesday and Thursday, it's still short its first bump by $234k going into the weekend, and I don't expect it to make more than $800-$850k this weekend (And that's only assuming it's not announced tomorrow night that it's going to lose something like a staggering 500-600 theaters showing it). This will set it up next weekend to be in a much better position on the rounding than it started this week, but it will only be making around 60% of what it made the previous week, so probably only another 1 bump next week too unless it gets really lucky and manages to nab 2.

After that, if it weren't for late international showings, we'd probably be seeing what has happened to Insidious (and eventually happens to all movies) where they don't get any percentage bumps for 1 or 2 weeks at a time, and then they never manage to get another one. It makes it easy that 1 Million is a percentage bump. I'm predicting a maximum of 5 more bumps in the States, with the first one being on Friday night. The Domestic Box Office alone will only get it up to 1,328% to 1,335%.

There is no doubt that Sound of Freedom is going to beat Super Mario Bros with international help, but there's a LONG way to go to take first place from M3GAN.

Quote:

I have "targets" that I expect from International, due to various factors. These are a reminder for me. They are likely to be wrong.

$14 M for UK
$7 M for Mexico, Australia, Brazil
$5 M for Peru
$3 M from NZ, Colombia, Argentina

JSF seems to think that there's still about $47 Million to be made internationally after the numbers that have already been recorded. If it makes half of that, it should be able to take 1st place.

I'm not sure what "various factors" you're using. I don't think $7 Million for Australia is realistic when it only made $1.16 Million in the first 4 days. I wouldn't expect the Box Office for this movie to behave anywhere else the same way that it performed here, and I would expect it to perform like any moderately successful normal movie does. That being said, a 40% drop to the 2nd weekend would be a good result for the first few weeks, and then 50 to 55% for the rest of its time after that.

$3 Million for New Zealand is never going to happen. $1.5 seems the upper limit there.

And with the hate this movie gets from the Left, and a lot of these countries being run by the Left, I think there's going to be pressure to get it out of the theaters that most other movies don't face.

I'd say $5 Million from Australia would be a great result, and $6 Million would be a miracle. $4 Million is probably more likely.

I can't really comment on the other countries at all yet because we don't have opening numbers for them to gauge anything on. I don't have any "various factors" to base the performance on other than opening numbers. I don't ever do deep dives into individual countries for how movies performed. The only time I ever have was when movies like Super Mario Bros and Barbie got late releases in Japan and South Korea, and how that affected one movie much differently than it affected the other movie.

Hopefully your predictions aren't more than double of reality across the board. With another $5 Million possible in the states, that would be enough to get it over the finish line with a little bit of wiggle room it might need, because $5 Million more US might be fairly optimistic given how little per day it's making now (which will only be compounded when it starts losing hundreds of theaters per week).

But really... I'm okay with 2nd place too. If it loses, it loses to an indie horror film that had a $12 Million budget.

And who knows? Although I don't expect it to happen, it may catch fire somewhere else like it did in the states and break all expectations. I wouldn't look for that to happen in Australia, the UK or any of the other European nations. Maybe in Mexico or Brazil?

Tuesday's Numbers:

1. M3GAN - 1,508% [FINAL]
2. Super Mario Bros - 1,358% (+0%)
3. Sound of Freedom - 1,300% (+0%)
4. Talk to Me - 1,178% (+0%)
5. Insidious: The Red Door - 1,163% (+0%)
6. Barbie - 926% (+1%)

SoF needs 59% to beat SMB. (About $9 Million)
SoF needs 209% to beat M3GAN. (About $29 Million)
SoF is 122% above Talk to Me.
SoF is 374% above Barbie.

OOPS... I must have got my wires crossed there on SoF in the last post and maybe I was looking at the Domestic number when determining rounding. SoF did less than I thought it would on Tuesday and only got $180k, but that leaves it just $135k shy of a percentage bump. SoF shouldn't have a problem getting that tomorrow, meaning that if I'm right about $800-$850k this weekend it's very plausible that SoF might have one last week of two Domestic percentage bumps in it if it can manage another $1.136k between Wednesday and Sunday night. However, if that happens it goes into next week almost a Million shy of the next Domestic percentage bump, which it wouldn't see until the end of the following weekend if it sees one at all.

No new numbers for Talk To Me for Monday/Tuesday. It's probably done about $550k in those days, which would not be enough for a percentage bump. It should see a 22% percentage bump on Wednesday, for 1,200% even. It would be just 107% behind SoF if the two above scenarios play out tonight, and with Talk To Me making more money per day than SoF is making coupled with a 22% bump per million compared to a 7% bump, it won't be long before it overtakes SoF unless Bruce starts posting international figures quickly.

Barbie only goes up 1% today. Nothing else did.

EDITED TO ADD: In International News, it appears that we're still very far from getting The-Numbers and Box Office Mojo on the same page. Box Office Mojo now shows the International Take at $841,408. Here's a list of the Countries and how much they increased since they posted numbers this time last week:

Iceland: $39,986 from $11,914 (+233%)
Lithuania: $19,496 from $5,654 (+217%)
South Africa: $194,687 from $87,927 (122%)
United Arab Emirates: $320,281 from $153,695 (108%)
New Zealand: $266,958 from $257,871 (3%)

Those numbers weren't put up a full week after release in any of those countries, but in the case of Iceland and Lithuania it appears it did better in its second week. With South Africa and the UAE, it looks like it more or less did the same or slightly higher than opening weekend/week.

In the case of New Zealand, it might already be dead. The current number at BOM is just $2k less than what Bruce has them at, and a 3% increase to me looks as though maybe SoF only got a 1 week release there before they pulled it out of theaters entirely.

I could be wrong about that, but who's to say? International numbers aren't an easy thing to track at all.

Wednesday's Numbers:

3. Sound of Freedom - 1,307% (+7%)
4. Talk to Me - 1,178% (+0%)
5. Insidious: The Red Door - 1,163% (+0%)
6. Barbie - 927% (+1%)

SoF needs 53% to beat SMB. (About $8 Million)
SoF needs 202% to beat M3GAN. (About $29 Million)
SoF is 122% above Talk to Me.
SoF is 380% above Barbie.

Super Mario Bros. goes up 1% again. Eventually somebody is going to figure this one out and stop adding and subtracting millions from the total.

SoF got the bump, but just barely. It's going to need $976,694 between Thursday and Sunday night if it wants to see another Domestic bump this week. That would be just around $800k after tonight, which was the low end for my prediction this weekend, so if theater counts don't get slashed too hard this weekend it's doable.

No new international news for SoF today.

Still no new numbers for Talk To Me for Monday-Wednesday. I'm putting that at around $800k in 3 days, so it will have gotten its latest 22% bump easily if I'm not wrong. This will put it at 107% behind SoF like I said it would yesterday.

Barbie only goes up 1% today again. It's still pulling in enough to get more than 1% of $145 Million per weekday, but tonight will probably the the last time that it will be able to claim that. Aside from Cheap Seat Tuesday, it should be making roughly $1 Million per week day next week. It's possible it might have its first Sub-$1 Million day next week as well. If it doesn't, it's going to have at least 3 of them the following week if not all 4.

Looks like I will need to utilize both The Numbers as well as BoxOfficeMojo to reconcile International Box Office. This is 31 Aug and still no figures from the 25-27 Aug Weekend from BOM in Australia, although Numbers posted that early this week.
The New Zealand numbers don't completely jive between them, but I can try to reconcile them - they are not too far off.

S Africa was again #2 in BO for the 2nd weekend, with an increase in theater count.
For $ per theater in their 2nd weekend, Lithuania was #1, S Africa and NZ were #2, plus apparently Australia,
Countries were SoF had higher Box Office in 2nd weekend than in 1st (besides Domestic) are Lithuania, Iceland, and obviously NZ, which went to 101 theater count on "Opening" weekend 25-27 Aug after only 3 theaters on the weekend before. NZ seems to have made $5.6 K the prior weekend, then about 4.5K (likely also with 3 theaters) during the weekdays before the "Opening" weekend.
Australia seems to have made $10,104 in the days before Opening Weekend, but I don't see data on how many theaters that was in.
