You didn't read that and admit that you were wrong, because you're a sad little boy.

Go cry to your mommy, cunt. Nobody here gives a shit about all of your incorrect opinions and your desire to always be the center of attention.

Over many different movies, your thesis is go woke, go broke. Hunger Games has a female win the games so it is "woke".

That's not what woke means.

In fact, you can go back through the 50 posts on this very thread and you'll see that I never once claimed the original Hunger Games or even its prequel was woke.

And none of the Hunger Games actors (unlike Sound of Freedom) have declared their loyalty to Trump so it is "woke".

That's definitely not what woke means.

My thesis is that technology is killing ticket sales.

And your thesis is incorrect.

Big flat screen TVs and streaming online legally and illegally have been options all throughout the entire run of The Hunger Games.

Few movies are worth the price of a theater ticket when you can view it on an 8K TV for almost free, no matter which politician endorses it or which country gives tax credits for making it on their soil. But what if you don't have an 8K and you don't know that 30 days from a movie's opening in theaters it will be streamed? But what if you want to hang out at the movies and then go eat a hamburger and fries while discussing it with your dad/mom or friends? Those will be the majority of customers for theater tickets one of these days. Too bad for theater owners and Hollywood, but technology, not "wokeness", will decrease the number of customers buying tickets.

Few movies these days are worth the price of a theater ticket, period. This is nothing new though. Long before Hollywood started putting their leftist agenda front and center in every movie they make, they had stopped making many movies that were original ideas and were happy just to make a billion sequels off of previously proven IPs or rebooting and/or remaking old successful movies that didn't need to be rebooted or remade.

People are still paying to see good movies in 2023. There will be close to $10 Billion in ticket sales in the US alone in 2023. This is only a few years after major CEOs of production companies were predicting that Covid killed movie theaters and everybody would just be watching movies at home from now on.

Once my table is updated and finalized for 2023 you'll see exactly which ones people voted for and voted against.

The most easy to spot argument against your incorrect stance on this is Five Nights at Freddy's. From Day 1 in the theaters, people could have just paid $5.99 for one month of Peacock and the entire family could have saved $100 by just watching it at home and making their own popcorn, without the need of downloading it illegally.

But they didn't do that.

On a $20 Million budget, FNAF has made $137,258,885 in the US (685%) and $293,931,314 (1,470%) Worldwide.

There's only two lessons that Hollywood needs to learn and the Box Office will be fine.

1. Make movies that people want to see.

2. Cut those rediculous budgets.

Disney spent 10 times as much on Wish and 13.75 times as much on The Marvels as Universal spent making Five Nights at Freddy's and so far, combined, they've barely made more money than FNAF made. FNAF has made nearly $250 Million in profit for Universal while The Marvels and Wish have lost Disney in the area of $850 Million.

Meanwhile... Japan, who just bought US Steel for $14.1 Billion managed to make Godzilla Minus One for only $15 Million. There's not a production company in the US currently who could have made that movie for under $100 Million. Figure it out.

Oh yeah...

Songbirds and Snakes beat Five Nights at Freddy's the other day. Can't remember if that happened on Sunday after internationals came in or Monday.

No figure for Tuesday yet, but Songbirds and Snakes is now $295.2 Million and FNAF is at $293.9 Million.

So yeah... Out of Wish, The Marvels and Songbirds and Snakes, S&S is going to be the only one to beat FNAF in the box office.

A million dollars goes to whoever predicted that back in January.

But I also feel the need to maintain my own integrity and not call something a flop when it hasn't yet proven itself a flop. And on that note, Ryan Kinel pissed me off yesterday claiming that S&S needs $300 Million to break even.

S&S does NOT need $300 Million to break even. S&S needs only $250 Million to break even.

These movies are doing badly enough on their own that we don't need people with actual voices out there lying about things like this and discrediting not only themselves, but everybody else who is sick of the woke bullshit and is enjoying watching them all finally fail hard in 2023.

So far, S&S is not a flop.

It very well could be one by next weekend, but people with YouTube/Twitter presences need to stop calling it a flop until it is actually a flop.
...

I hope it fails hard by the 2nd weekend, but until it does I will not call this a flop.

This one is probably going to easily clear $300 Million worldwide because of back-to-back Disney flops. It could even reach $350 Million if nothing else competes with it for the rest of the year. They're already calling Aquaman 2 a flop, so we'll see.

...

I don't imagine that 2 months ago anybody was predicting that out of The Marvels, Wish and S&S the only one that would gross more worldwide than FNAF was going to be this one.

Yeah. I'm pretty sure my revised opinion that it won't make $350 Million was correct. At $290 Million now, I just don't see it happening unless something completely unexpected happens like Bruce finding $20+ Million of international money that fell under the couch cushions.

But $300 Million is an absolute certainty now, so even Ryan Kinel with his lie of an inflated break-even number can go bounce on that (although, we all know he's never going to mention Songbirds and Snakes on his channel ever again).

$302,464,977 after a projected $3.15 Million Weekend 6.

That will be the last milestone it hits. Without some crazy international numbers coming in, I don't see it ever hitting $350 Million.

It didn't need to though. 302% of its production budget and still counting is fine.

They'd better think long and hard about how they want to carry on with the sequel though. There's not a great chance a sequel out-performs this one, and though the $100 Million budget saved it from failure it probably still cut closer than they would have liked it to when the production began filming. $60-$70 Million would be a better price tag.
