I saw this today, more than a week after release.
Bidenflation must be really hitting hard - my favorite Cinema had only 4 cars in the lot when I arrived, and when I left. The last couple weeks, at the same time/showing, I have had to park on far side of the building or lot with so many vehicles.

Anyhow, I think I have seen every prior Mad Max film, in cinema - although Mad Max was Drive-In.

I honestly wasn't expecting all that much, they might be mailing it in.
But this is a far more encompassing storyline and well-done script, more in line with Road Warrior.
I enjoyed it far more than I expected to.

I think my favorite characters were Pratorean Jack, and the old History dude.

If you have the slightest interest in this franchise format, I expect you will enjoy this entry.

Road Warrior really did have a bunch of interesting and adorable side characters, and Furiosa is somewhat lacking in that department.

I really should mention that Furiosa is played by Anya Taylor-Joy. The character is not Superwoman, but she is lithe, nimble, coordinated, courageous, determined, hard working and learning, and follows "orders" while generally keeping a low profile. And she can think. A realistic portrayal which Gen-Z kids could learn from, by example.

Codas.
There were a bunch of scenes interspersed with a large chunk of End Credits. I was unsure if these were epilogue, or deleted scenes, or something else, or a combination of these.
There is also a quick brief clip at the very end, before the film company logo. Not sure of it's meaning.

I'm glad you watch these things and can give your opinions on them.

I've pretty much stopped watching all the YouTubers talk about movies because Woke is pretty much dead in Hollywood now and they built their channels off of that. Once The Critical Drinker trashed the Roadhouse remake for being woke when it wasn't, I just kind of tuned out. They're just as desperate to stay relevant as Hollywood is to put out a blockbuster hit.

I figured this wasn't a movie about a magical girl-boss for the pink haired weirdos on Twitter. It appears that I was right.

But people aren't going go and pay $30-$40 per person to go see movies when they are putting groceries on credit cards and they're missing their car payments in Joe Biden*'s America.

A couple things I should mention, didn't realize them before.

Elsa Pataky plays the mother of Furiosa. IRL, she is the wife of Chris Hemsworth. They met the year after he was in cinema as Capt George Kirk.

The character Furiosa was apparently introduced in Fury Road, played by Charlize Theron. Seems her on set feud with Tom Hardy made him not want to reprise the role as Mad Max.
So this new film is the backstory of Furiosa.
