Glad I watched it. I've enjoyed most of M. Night's films. The way this story works out, I assumed it was his story, but was surprised the credits showed it's from a book.

As with most of his films, I don't want to give away spoilers.

The type of story does not lend towards action scenes, but otherwise it was satisfying to me.

I had wondered what kind of M. Night twist would apply to this story, and I did not see it coming.

Consider being in a film which is the top Box Office for opening weekend, and you spend all your scenes in a bikini swimsuit. Thus is the case here for Thomasin McKensie. And yesterday was her 21st birthday.

the spoiler would be suggesting it is similar to Cabin In The Woods.

DREAMTROVE

I saw this one, it was good. I think the fact that basically M Night Shyamalan does all his films in house means that there are always some editing oofs that make me cringe, (iron scene? and a couple others like this) but overall it was strong. I also think, as I often do in horror films, why is someone telling us the exposition of how the evil thing works, and why do they even know?

That said, I think this is sequel worthy. I'd like to see the effect of

bumpity.

Perhaps ironic, this on a forum about a Series and BDM which is all explained at the end of Serenity that Big Government needed to experiment drugs on unsuspecting populations.

I felt that Old suited Thomasin due to the plausible similarity of appearance of all the actresses who played the same character.

Have you seen Signs? I get the impression you have not. It was Abigail Breslin's first film.

Unbreakable?

Although the original story was not from M Night, Knock at the Cabin really should be included in any list of his work. I might remember that longer than most of his other films.

I've seen both Signs and Unbreakable.

I wasn't super impressed with either of them, although I didn't think ill of them either. My old man loved Unbreakable. I saw Unbreakable with a date though, and she didn't like it, so that may have tainted my view on it.

I haven't seen Knock at the Cabin yet.

I don't know who Abigail Breslin is.
