John Wick 1 was awesome. John Wick 3&4 sucked ass and brought 2 down with it. Nobody asked for Ballerina. Now pay the price.

Like when I was watching The Hunt, I was smiling about half the time the movie was playing out. Had over the top cartoonish violence like that movie too. I don't like REAL violence, like the sequel to Silence of the Lambs. Two did take on a more serious tone, but I felt that it was a good direction for the franchise to take because you really can only do the dog gimmick once, and the first movie was totally insular and it was complete. You didn't need a sequel at all. The cliffhanger in 2 was great. The first half or so of the 3rd movie was pretty decent, but it just fell off a cliff by the 3rd act. 4th movie was a video game let's play borefest. I didn't think it got to political. It just got really, really, really boring. Ballerina showed up in one of them. Can't even remember her first appearance. I don't believe she was in the 2nd, but she may have shown up in the 3rd. Good possibility they just shoehorned her into the 4th though. She wasn't a very big character in the movie. I can't remember if the allusion to a spinoff with her came right at the end of the movie or if it was a post-credits coda. To Brenda: This could be considered John Wick 5, or just a spinoff. -------------------------------------------------- "I don't find this stuff amusing anymore." ~Paul Simon

And hey Keanu Reeves is no slouch either. :big grin: Sounds now maybe more like a spin off. Because I remember Wick being killed in the last one but Ian McShane's character said good bye my son. And that line which could have been a throw away, has always made me wonder.

Quote:While marketing initially suggested Eve was the same ballerina seen in a minor scene in John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum, Ana de Armas's character is a new creation specifically for the spinoff. The spinoff film takes place primarily during the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, providing a different perspective within the established John Wick universe.

She was the daughter of one of the guys that got killed in the movie. At this point I couldn't even tell you if it was the daughter of a friend or a foe. I think a friend? She was in the 4th movie for sure. We saw all 4 of them within about a month and that was a while back now, so it's all blurry to me. -------------------------------------------------- "I don't find this stuff amusing anymore." ~Paul Simon

But I already knew something was up when I looked at Ana de Armas' profile and she wasn't in any of the JW movies. Guess this is a new one and Codas don't matter. -------------------------------------------------- "I don't find this stuff amusing anymore." ~Paul Simon

Now, that I sit here thinking about it. I think I do remember a ballerina in the movie. Now, I might be confused. I saw then last year.

Now, that I sit here thinking about it. I think I do remember a ballerina in the movie. Now, I might be confused. I saw then last year. It's kind of coming back to me now... He went back to his "roots" to ask for a favor, which they did not want to give him, as he was putting the house in danger just by stepping foot inside of it or something, but they ended up helping him (maybe after he did them a favor or something) and I believe her father was the head of that house or 2nd in command or something and got murdered after he left. During some of those scenes, you saw the person he was asking help from sitting in a theater chair with the girls on stage dancing. They made it seem as if one of them were going to be the spinoff character. I dunno... I could be mixing up 2 or 3 things at this point. Those last two movies to me were a whole lot of things happening and a whole lot of nothing interesting happening at the same time. -------------------------------------------------- "I don't find this stuff amusing anymore." ~Paul Simon
