So much garbage has come out of Hollyweird in the past 10 years, it has become slim pickings for quality works.

So what are your 5 or 10 best films? Including 2010 until now.

Off the top of my head, I'd start with:
Edge of Tomorrow
Arrival
Rogue One
Wind River
Colossal
Alita: Battle Angel

I'll need to think on it some more.

I don't know if I've seen 10 in the last 10 years, but here goes...

Edge of Tomorrow
Alita: Battle Angel
Joker
Under the Silver Lake
The Hunt

In no particular order.

Oh... and I saw The Witch.

Shittiest piece of shit I've ever seen and anybody who liked it spends their free time bottling their own farts so they can smell them even when they aren't gassy.

Wow. I didn't realize how few quality films have come out until I tried recalling them.

Quiet Place
The Promise
Unbreakable (2000)
Unstoppable (2010)
Inception (2010)
Kick-Ass (2010)
The Debt
Hunger Games
American Sniper
Ex Machina

Now I have enough that I can start whittling down.

Pretty sure Unbreakable was more like 20 years ago. I think Kick Ass and Inception were over 10 years ago too.

If true, it's just that many less quality films to pick from.

Wow. Right on the money with Unbreakable. Made in 2000.

Kick Ass is older than 10 years with a birthday of April 16th, 2010.

Inception just barely makes the 10 year cutoff by 6 days...

Wow. You got me with Unbreakable. Split wasn't until 2016, and Glass in 2019. 19 Year span, wow. At least they brought the kid back for Glass.
Hard for me to recall it being from 200, since I keep watching it at home on DVD.

That predates Signs, and FFF.net

I already said I'll include anything from 2010.

Well...

Unbreakable still didn't predate Bruce Willis' baldness.

But yeah... I remember seeing that in the theater and I was still basically a kid when it came out.

I didn't see you say that you'd include anything from 2010, but with such slim pickings in the last decade I can't blame you.

I actually thought Kick Ass was quite a bit older than 2010. Kind of surprised that Inception is only 10 years old too.

The Promise
Inception (2010)
American Sniper
Ex Machina
Edge of Tomorrow
Arrival
Rogue One
Wind River
Alita: Battle Angel
Kick-Ass (2010)

Well, I think that is my Top 10. Hard to believe that these didn't make the cut, even with so few decent films out the past decade.
The Debt
Hunger Games
The Last Full Measure
Unstoppable (2010)
Colossal
Quiet Place

Well if we're counting all the way back to 2010, I guess I have to put Kick Ass and Inception on my list.

Edge of Tomorrow
Joker
The Hunt
Inception
Kick Ass
Alita: Battle Angel
Shazam
Welcome to Me
The Witch

That's probably the order I'd put them in.

I had to put The Witch on there, which is one of the worst movies ever made. I dunno. I might have seen some others back in my drinking days and even posted about them here. But those are the only 10 movies I remember watching in the last 10 years.

Nevermind. I forgot about Hunger Games. I lost interest somewhere along the way and never finished it, but I liked the first one or two of them.

Even if they were downright terrible they beat The Witch.

Oh yeah... I saw a few of the Marvel movies too. They all kind of blend together. I guess I'd put Guardians of the Galaxy and Deadpool up there instead of Hunger Games, or maybe move Welcome to Me out. But I kind of liked Welcome to Me. Quirky weird flick.

Oh, right... I saw Wonder Woman while my brother was here, but I fell asleep during it and never bothered watching the rest of it.

Oh, and Dr. Sleep too.

Deadpool has to go on the list. Dr. Sleep knocks off Shazaam.

New list:

Edge of Tomorrow
Joker
The Hunt
Under the Silver Lake
Deadpool
Inception
Kick Ass
Alita: Battle Angel
Dr. Sleep

EDIT: Oops... I somehow lost Under the Silver Lake along the way.

Had to boot Welcome to Me to give it the spot.

This list is probably in the order I'd put them now, but I'd have to watch them all again pretty close together and I'd probably move them around a bit.

For instance, the only ones I've seen twice are The Hunt and Edge of Tomoorw, and I liked them just as much the second time. As much as I liked Dr. Sleep the first time, it was a really, really long movie and I don't know if it would hold up well on a 2nd viewing if I were to watch it again this soon. Kick Ass and Alita are probably just above average flicks that are on the list because there really just isn't that much good out there.

As much of an experience as Joker was, I really doubt that it would do as much for me the second time around. I already know what happens and you lose the theater experience at home (which means more to me probably because of how infrequently I go to a theater). What would be left is just Phoenix's amazing acting performance, and without that taking up 99% of my attention a 2nd time around I'd likely start picking apart flaws in the movie that went by completely unnoticed the first time around.

If I were to watch these all again in a short span of time, I think my guess is the final order would look like this:

Edge of Tomorrow
The Hunt
Under the Silver Lake
Joker
Inception
Deadpool
Alita: Battle Angel
Kick Ass
Dr. Sleep

Do Right, Be Right. :)

Yeah....

I already gave it too much thought. Somehow I got my wires crossed there.

Throw Welcome to Me back up on the list, I guess.

It really doesn't belong on a top 10 list of the last 10 years, but movies have been shit in the last decade and I've barely seen any. It's better than any of the other comic book movies besides Deadpool and Joker.

I think 'Joker' was a product of its era, its strange it just came out before Covid, before huge BLM riots, but you had Antifa, Hillary politics and Trump hysteria, new left and 'Maga' but it will not have staying power as a classic the Bat 'Joker' Batman franchise movie
its basically a theft on King of Comedy maybe some 'Taxi Driver' or maybe 'inspired by' such movies which I think are better than 'Joker'

in fact it could have been a better film if it was not linked to the Batman/Joker name

Hollywood probably started to die in 2017 or 2018, some say it was before this, constant gay islamo diversity messages with movies like Hidden Feminist Wakanda Niggaz about Black Females who did the maffs to get NASA to the Moon

The Hunger Games franchise is now way more than 10 years ago, its basically Japanese Battle Royale but with a better message

Now they have transexualling weirdos Hunger Game

Deadpool is kind of toilet humor
Kickass is more 'Ass' and way more than 10 years old
and Shazam is kind of 'meh'

Sixstring said Hollyweird started to die before Weinstein
