Because audiences like violent movies that end with justice. Hollywood translates and simplifies that concept to mean the violent deaths for the antagonists in the final scenes, just before the coda, where the protagonists get praised and receive medals for bravery.

I said it might hit 3rd or even 4th place for the weekend. Terrifier 3 crushed it with $5.8 million last night (Not including Thursday previews). Wild Robot got $3.8 million and Joker 2 only got $2.2 million.

That's an 89% drop from opening weekend!!!! Yeah... that does include preview Thursday, so Joker 2 won't get -89% for the weekend, but I've never seen anything over -80% exactly before when previews were included. This is the worst drop I've seen for any movie since I started paying attention. (If memory serves, the previous -80% drop I saw was The Marvels late last year).

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice took 4th place, but wasn't far behind with $1.95 million. I'd love seeing it lose to all 3 of them.

Projections are $18.3 Million for Terrifier 3. $13.45 Million for The Wild Robot. $7.055 Million for Joker 2.

The projection for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice was $7.050 Million.

$5,000 difference there.

In any event, that's an 81% drop from the first weekend on J2. I'm pretty sure that even The Marvel's last year didn't end the 2nd weekend with a drop that severe.

but it finally crossed 50 M but its at least a 200 Million-ish movie production
