Directed, produced, written by, and starring Dev Patel.

If you are looking for a John Wick fix, this should do the trick.

Setting is India, I believe. Although apparently filmed in Indonesia and Australia.

This does include as part of the story, or background, a bunch of class warfare, or genetic cleansing, or genocide. I am not hugely familiar with much of this, but since Patel is from India, he may have infused either real happenings, or historical, or fictional events (like Avatar).

When a non-English language is used, subtitles are provided. However, sometimes when the characters are supposedly using English, the accent is so thick and the background sound is smothering the words, they are effectively obfuscated - although the background sounds imply the words are important to the story or motivation.
In most of the English speaking scenes, the dialogue is clear enough.

But the dialogue is not all that critical to understand the John Wick parallels, and it is enjoyable nonetheless.
Apparently characters who have long hippie hair are sage in this film. Of all the men that I know or have met from India, never saw one with long hair. Longest was on motel owners, who have like salesman length/style hair.

Fortunately, I did not recall any of the Bollywood type song-and-dance scenes. I'm not into musicals. Even if there actually was such a scene, it was not obnoxious enough for me to be bothered by it.

The trailer seems to be an accurate summary of the film. Nothing seemed misrepresented, in story or pacing.
If you find the trailer interesting, you can expect to like the film.

I hope this makes Dev a pile of money.

Civil War. Probably not the best movie to release in current year, but it does look pretty entertaining...
