Interesting to see if it can be tied successfully into the Trek verse we know. Perhaps it will be a discarded form of propulsion, too damaging to lifeforms maybe? Still, Its not hard to imagine a different timeline.

I read where the producers ( after the first episode aired ) felt a need to release a few spoilers. Apparently people are confused while watching the show in an unintended way. Therefore, producers are releasing spoilers explaining what is going to happen in the upcoming episodes. To explain were the show is headed instead of letting the show unfold in the usual timeline. As the episodes air.

I consider myself a discerning sci-fi aficionado and my opinion after having watched the show is that its the best sci-fi on TV for a while now. Its little wonder the good shows get cancelled when people give negative reviews / opinions without even watching it. Does that make sense to you?

I don't have any issues with continuity or canon and if I find any I can easily overlook and watch it as a stand alone (it is just a TV show..) The special effects are brilliant. The acting is outstanding with clever intelligent dialogue. This alone makes me worry for its future.. the good shows never really stand a chance.

Overtly portraying Trump voters ( many of which had been blue collar Dems ) Klingons and mocking their political views ... not gonna go over well w/ the gen public.
