Has anyone Stateside seen the trailer for that new TV show 'Heroes'

http://www.nbc.com/NBC_First_Look/Heroes/

The premise sounds like a cross between 4400 and Mutant X, but the trailer is ... well ... shiny! They clearly have a budget anyway.

Being from Ireland I'll just have to hope someone here or in the UK picks it up so I can see it, or maybe get some downloads from somewhere, but it looks like it could be good. Anyone going to watch it?

Does Canada qualify as Stateside? (Well, we are beside the States.)

I'm eagerly anticipating it. Looks like it could be really good. Like The 4400, but without the government intervention (at first) and "newsworthy" aspects. I like my superhumans to be secretive and able to blend in.

Probably the closest we'll ever get to a live-action X-Men series. . .

That's what i was thinking. It seemed like X-Men. I'm going to watch.

I aim to misbehave.

A good live-action X-Men series.

(Specifically one where the characters look like real people and not fashion models with unlimited credit cards.)

This looks to me like potentially the best series of the new season.

There's already a fan community starting up, including a fan media site ( www.heroesmedia.com ) and a fan community with forum ( www.heroestheseries.com ). Lots of vid available already! Also, gossi over SM.org has said he's starting up a Heroes forum too, but if he doesn't hurry he'll miss the boat...

I've seen several of the 'shorts' featuring the different characters. Looks promising, and not FUX. I'll certainly tune in. It does have the X-men feel to it. Individual discovery without a 'Professsor' type character.

I love my captain

I've seen a couple of those. Whatever the show turns out like, I have to admit that the trailers are great.

I love X-Men (even before the films) and recently discovered The 4400, which I do enjoy. I even watched Mutant X sometimes. I'm definatly going to try out Heroes.
