I'm not really a Trekkie.. honest. Funny, you sound like a Trekkie...Ensign Perez... Hehhehisall ] I'm a somewhat unconcerned fan. I guess my love of a handful of episodes make me a Novice Trekkie. Overall though I've never been obsessed or enamored with the franchise much. Either way I don't identify myself as a Trekkie and never really wanted to be. I'm a Browncoat all the way. Nothing else will ever overshadow that. <------<<< ~~~~~~~~~~~~~(*)~~~~~~~~~~~~~ >>>------> "If you can't do something smart, do something right."

I may be thinking of the episode of Voyager though. And I don't mean in Generations when it's crashes... Also, didn't the Enterprise enter the atmosphere in one of the TOS movies?

Quote:Originally posted by Jongsstraw: Aslo.....Those Next Generation cast movies were all pretty good, but wouldn't it have been awesome if they could have built a movie around one of the finest episodes in Trek history...The Inner Light? They could have had Picard go back in time a thousand years & actually meet and live with all the friends and family that he "lived" with during his 25-minute lifetime experience. He could have time travelled in a variety of ways....the warp-breakaway method, the Guardian of Forever method, or the Bajoran orb method.

Quote:Originally posted by Jongsstraw: Hi Traveller The Inner Light used to be consistently voted by ST:NG fans as the #1 episode, at least by fans in So. Florida who would vote when the local channel used to air the re-runs regularly & they would put on Marathons. I really do love that episode more than I can describe, because for me it's very personal. I usually feel like an "outsider" or a "stranger in a strange land" much as Picard/Kaman felt when he first arrived.

Hey, now. I was one of the 4.3 million fans that actually enjoyed STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE. But this doesn't surprise me. Only a fraction of the Trek fanbase gave it a chance, not even after Manny Coto took the helm in Season 4. If they had only allowed him to continue through the now absent Seasons 5,6 & 7, people would have realized how great a series it truly was... or could have been. ____________________________________ "We are not gonna die.
