I hope no one minds a little bit of self-promotion for my own scifi project...

I'm the Chief Editor of Apocalypse Fiction Magazine (the Internet's BEST resource for 100% free post-apocalyptic scifi, series, comics and art!) and I'm also a HUGE Firefy fan (and will be adding a banner link to the AFM site soon), a registered Browncoat, and a fan of both this site and Serenitymovie.com...

Anyway, I wanted to make a quick post about AFM/Blue Moon Movies original independent television pilot The NUKE Brothers. I am the Writer and co-Producer of the movie.

The NUKE Brothers is a 44-minute original pilot episode, set in the Wastelands of Earth thirty five years after a devastating nuclear/pharmaceutical apocalypse. A dramatic comedy, the tone of the movie can be described as, "Laurel and Hardy After the Bomb."

The NUKE Brothers follows the comic misadventures and of brothers Duke and Zeph as they struggle to survive amidst the violent scavengers and half-lives, the monsters and madmen, the robots, rogues, mayors and Moon-men lurking amidst the unfathomable mysteries of the wasteland . . . strange artifacts and forgotten technologies left over from 'afore the war.'

We are currently in the process of shopping The NUKE Bros around, entering the festival circuit, approaching studios, etc. The NUKE Bros is available on DVD and you can check out info and images and download Quicktime TRAILERS and MUSIC (and all sort of post-apocalpstic scifi fiction and goodies!) at: www.apocalypsefiction.com or www.nukebrothers.com

Self-promotion is all well and good, but you have to at least open the door with something like, "Hey, anyone out there want to write an episode for contest prize money?" or something to that effect.

^Hm. Surprisingly, this "contest" is still open...

We've got a few DVDs to give away, and I can't think of a better place that here! We've also placed a prominent link to this site and the official Serenity site on our Apocalypse Fiction Magazine (a post-apocalyptic fiction ezine dedicated to Earth-that-Was), and based upon my rank at the official site, we've actually generated a lot of traffic--and hopefully converted a few folks into Firefly fans...!

I'm currently watching my new DVD set (I gave my old set to my bro in an effort to convert him) for the fourth time--now with my wife, who's been curious about this show that I "keep on raving about..."
