However, I still admit to having problems with the "liquid metal" technology.... BUT, T:S avoided that! It's like, you can watch T, and then T:S & skip the others! The laughing Chrisisall

Hey, about that one, is it just me, or does the 5.1 seem REALLY inferiour to the original mono soundtrack on the DVD? I mean, they added some cool little audio touches, but it just seems bland in comparison to the sharper mono, IMHO. The laughing Chrisisall

Quote:Originally posted by Zeek: I really don't understand why people love the original so much. The Terminator was a B movie. It seem to be unintentionally campy and ridiculous. I went to a show where they showed the movie with comedians cracking jokes a la MST3K. It was quite hilarious but it was like shooting fish in a barrel.

Are there many differences aside from blood, swearing etc? I've read a great deal about this, and it's just an F bomb or two, a bloodier stabbing & Moon Bloodgood's breasts for a brief moment. Nothing very significant. I'd buy it on DVD, but it's only on blu-ray, and I'm NOT going blue just for that. It struck me as a movie version of a Firefly comic- not absolutely necessary, but a very entertaining little diversion. As opposed to T3, which I found insulting. The laughing Chrisisall

I avoided until now, but lack-O-new stuff made me buy it on the cheap out of curiosity. I recommend a rental or cheap buy here! Anyone else think it was worth a viewing? The T-1000 Chrisisall

All the differences (4 minute's worth, less actually, considering): (Click on "Watch On Youtube" after it denies the embedding) Interesting, but in no way amazing. In fact, it's probably better left out IMO. The laughing Chrisisall

Quote:Originally posted by Storymark: What was really annoying was, when the theatrical cut came out, McG (the director) said the DVD/BR would have a director's cut which would add a minimum of 35-45 minutes, totally reworking the storyline and including the original ending. He even said specifically that it wouldn't be one of those director's cut's that just adds 3-4 minutes.

Quote: We had a jet-black ending. Connor dies, we're in a room with all the people we care about. You take Connor's likeness, you put it on the living machine of Marcus. He sits up, now looking like Christian Bale, takes a gun, kills Kate, kills Kyle, kills Star, kills everybody, eyes flare red, [snaps] the end. *THE OTHER DARK ENDING* the mechanical Marcus takes over as Connor and goes on to lead the resistance. It's essentially a secret to everybody, except the inner circle, that John Connor is now a robot, is now a Terminator. We're going for some irony there.
