I just watched the preview for the upcoming "All-Star Superman".

Christina Hendricks will be voicing Lois Lane.

No kidding. I watched the rest of the previews and Gina popped up as Superwoman in "Crisis on two Earths".Plus Nathan was Steve Trevor in "Wonder Woman".

Though, kinda funny that while the cast is working with DC, Joss is over at Marvel. Guess he's keeping both sides covered, huh?

Ooooh, that's one I'm definitely getting!!! Not because of Christina, but she's an added plus.

Too bad the actual flick wasn't that good.

No, I just said that to say it....

Of course I saw it. If it has Batman involved, I'm there as soon as it goes on sale.

You're confusing me here, Story.
Did you SEE All-Star Superman? Or are you referring to something else?

Thanks for the clarify.

I didn't think S/B/A was gonna be all that, so I passed in favour of Iron Man 2.

It's too bad really, because the comic it's based on was quite good.

Batman: Under the Red Hood (excellent)

2: (tie)
Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths
Justice League: New Frontiers

3:
Wonder Woman

Funny that so many DC animated flicks have Whedon vets. Baldwin, Fillion, Glau, Harris, Marsters. Torres and Acker also did the TV series'.

Her power of flight has come and gone over the years, so I didn't mind.

And ya just gotta love a movie that ends with an army of Amazons battling zombie hordes on the national mall.

THAT was cool.

Green Lantern kinda disappointed me... I think I was expecting a more Neal Adams look to it.

Didn't care for GL myself. Thought it and the Gotham Knight have been the weakest releases.

You should check out Red Hood, though. The opening scene is the Joker beating the second Robin to death with a crowbar! Classic.

I'll BUY it, based on your recommendation, Story. I rented Gotham Knight and found it interesting, but not particularly insightful into the character. Eye candy, mostly.

*looks around for DVD's to sell...*

The only reason I bothered w/ this thread was on the hope that there'd be some pics of Summer in a skin tight outfit, sporting a cape.

Is this skin-tight enough? From Superman Batman Apocalypse 2010, that's Summer Glau in a blond wig speaking like a Terminator from Krypton, "Give me your clothes." Jayne misunderstands. She then hurts him in a delicate spot.

"I thoroughly disapprove of duels. If a man should challenge me, I would take him kindly and forgivingly by the hand and lead him to a quiet place and f*** him." When will Storymark stop quoting Mark Twain?

Storymark, I'm ahead of you because I know that even a photo is not a real person. The part of the brain that is devoted to sex is old but not smart. It is easy to fool a fool with pictures. (I think Jayne would be a consumer of pornography. Even the smart part of his brain is not so smart.) Because of the fact that people confuse photos and movies with reality makes possible an enormous pornography industry in California. I hear that it is as big as Hollywood. That is so sad. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pornography_in_the_United_States

I have quotes from Images of Immortality www.american-buddha.com/lit.voltairebastard.18.htm about cartoons like Superman/Batman Apocalypse, with Summer Glau as the voice of Supergirl: "In Le Proces-verbal, a novel by the French writer Le Clezio, the hero says: "I am in the cartoon of my choice." A short time later, rational society locks him up and tells him that he is insane. To a remarkable degree, the visual side of the humanist tradition is now in the hands of the cartoonist, as is the quest for the immortal image. The art experts with their client artists are increasingly the allies of the television sitcom and of imprisoned reality. It is hardly surprising in a society which seems to be in decline, but worships structure too much to do anything about it, that imagination should be treated as an enemy and not as a friend of the people."

Heck, I liked it so much I bought the BluRay.
It is by far the strongest of the lot.

(I have tried to avoid upgrading to HD with a passion, main reason I even have a player is because I found Firefly and Serenity BluRay for a good price)

Second place for me is JL: New Frontiers.
Then the rest in one big gaggle.

Though, like was said before, how can you not love an army of amazons battling zombies in the middle of DC?
