Nope. Toby Whithouse, the show's creator, wrote that episode.

The Joss Whedon script for Serenity, where Wash lives, is Serenity-190pages.pdf at www.mediafire.com/folder/1uwh75oa407q8/Firefly

Along with "Eve of the War" at this season's start, Toby Whithouse wrote the two episodes that end the previous season: "Though the Heavens Fall" and "The Wolf-Shaped Bullet". With such promising titles, I must watch! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Being_Human_episodes

Dialog from the beginning of "The Wolf-Shaped Bullet":

Mitchell (in Jail): Just Rent-a-ghost into the corridor, get the keys and let me out. Without me, there's no proof.

Mitchell's Ghostly Girlfriend: I could get you a cup of tea and a Kit Kat if you want.

Mitchell: Look, in 20 minutes, they're going to move me to a maximum-security station, and that's it. Guards and guns. Even you won't be able to get me out.

Girlfriend: No, Mitchell. I don't know how to make this any clearer to you. I don't want you to get out.

Mitchell: So this is how is the world discovers vampires, werewolves and ghosts, huh?

Girlfriend: Yes, I suppose it is.

You think you know--what's to come, what you are. You haven't even begun.

I haven't watched it, and I'm probably not going to. Show jumped the shark last year.

I still like watching it, for the reason that Annie is kinda smokin' hot, and because it's the same general story as the SyFy version, but then has taken a completely different path.

But season 4's start.... whaoh ! It's like they put the old story line in a blender, added a few more ingredients, and pushed ' obliterate ' !

I have to double check last season's eps... because I felt really lost as Season 4 started.

No argument that Annie is hot. And yeah, it's similar to the SyFy version because SyFy remade the show. However, I was sorely disappointed with series three. After the first couple episodes, the characters became increasingly unlikable and made really stupid decisions. And then they killed their premise when they killed Mitchell (who used to be my favorite character) so I was kind of done with it. Good to know I wasn't wrong, if this new series is starting off as badly as you say.

Mitchell was awesome, so yeah, that was a big let down. IMO, he was the lead character for the entire show and everyone else was a bit player.

Fully agree w/the really stupid decisions, too. ( but to some degree, don't most shows have some element of that ? )

I'm not sure if S4 is starting off 'badly', just yet, but man... it sure is a quantum leap from where the 1st 3 seasons had taken us.

And I sure hope the Syfy 'brand' doesn't in any way try to follow where the original has veered. I'd have to drop watching that all together if that happened.

He so was. It was mainly his story because he wanted to get the house and live like a normal person and battle his addiction. Annie and George kind of came along for the ride, and they for sure had their own stories and all, but Mitchell was pretty central. Also, when your premise is, "A vampire, a werewolf, and a ghost are housemates" and then you eliminate the vampire... I mean, that kills the premise, yes?

Yeah, a lot of shows end up selling out their characters for the sake of the plot, but it still bugs me. And especially a BBC show, which have fewer episodes per year than American shows do and tend to avoid that particular pitfall.

No, but when all but one of the cast leave, things are probably going to change.

I think the first couple of S4 eps were OK, but the last one was back to "come on, they're not that stupid."

Sounds like you have the advantage of seeing S4 eps before they're aired here?

We just saw ep 1 this Saturday.

And yet now...

Select to view spoiler:

...they've also killed off the werewolves, George and Nina. But there's another one that was around last season, Tom, plus they've conveniently introduced yet another trio of vampire, werewolf and ghost that have also been living together. I guess that means that Annie will get her door soon and we'll have a completely new cast. Lame.

And the manner in which it all came about... I was like - huh?

Select to view spoiler:

So, Nina survived being knifed, but then gets pummeled to death by a bunch of vamps in an alley ? THAT is how they start off S4, by merely mentioning... " Oh yeah, she's dead, but her infant daughter is alive. "

And an IMAGE of a full moon, from a poster on the wall, enables George to 'trick' his body into becoming half wolf ? That's why I asked if there were new writers. That, and the whole leap forward 20+ years to a full vampire take over of the world. Sheesh!

Well dayum. Ware wolf + Vampire + Ghost as house mates seem to be all the rage over in the UK then.

Wow... this new season is really dragging along.

Just not buying the whole new arrangement, and Annie's half assed parenting/ protecting skills of Eve.

Finally got around to looking up 'Rentaghost', as the term was completely lost on me.

Not near as fond of the 2nd batch of house mates as I was the first. And now with matters left as they are... what next ?
