Anybody else watching this?

I wasn't that impressed with the pilot, but after a couple more I'm liking it. The acting and the writing are giving me hope. Good stuff so far.

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

I was also not impressed in the beginning, but when I read that John Noble was going to have a guest role I decided to keep watching. I can't say I love it, but it has gotten better. Unfortunately, it will be on break for the next couple of weeks, due to baseball playoffs I guess. It will be back on Nov. 4, and I believe that is the episode when Noble will show up.

uh... crap. Quality show, on Fox, somewhat weak pilot, but otherwise strong writing and characters... pre-empted for baseball.... anyone else getting deja vu?

The first season will be a short one, thirteen episodes I think, and the same goes for the second season already announced, so no need for a "save our show" campaign just yet. However, if they preempt it for a Brady Bunch reunion movie during the Thanksgiving week you are allowed to start worrying.

The ratings have been good and it has a strong following, if it was on NBC it would likely be doomed, that's where entertainment goes to die.

Ive been enjoying the hell out of it, so far. I didn't know it was just a 13 episode season - while Im slightly bummed that the season will wrap up sooner than I expected, it also alleviates the only problem I had with the show - my fear that they were burning through the story so fast they'd have trouble filling a 22 episode season.

I was sorta worried about that at first as well. But they seem to be settling into a Buffyesque 'monster of the week' pace which is fine as far as it goes. To be honest, that aspect - the whole, almost 'procedural monster fighter' aspect kinda bores me. But the character stuff - between the sisters, and the two leads - is shaping up so nicely I don't care much. I hope they can keep it up and aren't afraid to shake things up down the road.

This just keeps getting better. Ep. 7 was the best yet. Anybody else still watching?

No more running. I aim to misbehave.

Yes. I'm still watching. Although I didn't like the idea of the four horsemen coming to destroy the world initially, the writing and the characters keep me coming back for more.
Between Bones, Sleepy Hollow and Castle it is the only night of the week that tv has my full attention. Now if they could just reign in the commercials a little bit...

I'm still watching although it was touch and go for the first few episodes. But the writers and cast got it together and apparently many people agreed. The ratings are pretty good.

Definitely. Last week's episode was firing on all cylinders. They're really nailing the right mix (for my taste at least) of action, comedy and drama.

Did anyone else miss a scene in tonight's show? Jenny and Irving were in the antique shop and she was about to show him what was behind a secret panel, and all of a sudden the local afillitate station broke away for commercials. When the show came back it was with Abby and Crane in the tunnels with the Horseman. The next time I saw Jenny and Irving they were in tactical gear at some power plant. What did I miss?

Just watched it. They found Jenny's old cohort, shot by the Hessians. He indicated that some artifact had been stolen - apparently that thing that the necromancer took out of his gut at the end to summon the bad guys. Still not sure how they got it too him in that cell though. After that, they raced off to the power station guessing that the Hessians would try to shut of the power to restore health to headless.
'

Anyway.. it's still just getting better and better. I haven't been this into a genre show since, well, since Firefly :)

I suspect he'll make another appearance or two. Too cool a character, and too good an actor not to get him back on the screen.
