He hasn't aged a day. Still looks the same as on Mallrats and one of the other disappointing comic book films that was nowhere near as good as Hellboy. (Spiderman?)

He just popped up on Heroes in another cameo.

Appears to be wheeled into position "Just put on the brown shades and be gruff." The action stops for a Hiro moment, and steps outside whatever's going on, rubbish cameo, then it resumes.

Weird. Can anyone stop him doing this? He's exceedingly bad at it.

I'm still waiting for Heroes to get to the point. It rivals Invasion for inactivity. Mind you, Christopher Eccleston fairly walks away with every scene he's in.

Not sayin' he is a higher power or anything, but do you think the times when God makes a cameo are any better. The man is not an actor, he is a writer who is recognizeable and not a huge dork like Stephen King. Not to mention he is old as dirt and needs more regognition before he's called on high. Kirby and Kane would have been so lucky, give Lee his moment (which I remember him narrating Spiderman and His Amazing Friends in the early eighties) in the sun. Few are ever really recognized from behind the pen.

I think it was a quarter page panel usually in the back called Bullpen. But then again I barely remember the seventies (thank god).

ADD: Sorry for the apparent thread jacking Gixxer. No offense intended. I just hink Stan Lee can be credited with so much in terms of good for the medium. Even today I see the world in widescreen (like a two page spread), remember in tems of panels, and write in all capital letters. Not that comics had a huge impact on me or anything.

No offence taken. I appreciate he's a giant to those who regard him as a giant. It's just that he is so far from being an actor, I wish he could find a cooler medium.

With you on King, though. That upper lip is creepifyin'. We had one something similar to it at No 10 between 1990 and 1997.

As for his films, unless made by someone who knew what they were doing (which limits it to the frankly awe-inspiring "Christine") they are not things I actively seek out.

Best way to remember the 70s is to watch "Life On Mars." Genuinely good, and the best Camberwick Green gag ever. Hawkwind too...

You can't count his scene in Mall Rats as acting. He was playing himself. Plus I think it came off the way they intended.

In his own way I think he see's himself as a god to the world he has helped create. I love the awkward demenor he displays for everyone to see. It shows the reason for folks to have/create heroes. My favorite way to remember the 70's: read Conan comics, drink some Orange Crush, and watch episodes of Little House.

Y'all seen the trailer for Stephen Kings The Mist? It was the only story I read from the compilation a few years ago and it scared me a bit. Read it first then see the movie. :goosebumps:

Every Marvel comic ever made into a film, he is in it somehow. Has been since waaay back. Since he is the father of the superhero, I say who cares?
