Indy is back. Kingdon of the Crystal Skull. The Transformers kid will be in it. Always good to spend money on a big popcorn and big drink. Should be good. Ford just needs to shoot up the botox and look good. Hopefully this link works.

LWAVES

When I first heard that they were going ahead with this sequel I wasn't looking forward to it.
1. I thought it was too long since the last one.
2. It was an attempt to relive past glories.
3. I wished that they wouldn't do it.

...etc. etc. etc.

But since then, and having re-watched the trilogy, I am so hooked on it and I am really looking forward to it.

They better not

it up.

I'm hopeful but trying desperately not to get excited... does having the Raiders March as my ringtone count as excited?

I've heard varying degrees of good buzz about the movie. The slightly 50's b-movie style could work well with the series. Seeing as the 30's serial style worked well with the films set in the 30's. Also the news that Spielberg and Ford have kept a rein on Lucas' inevitable geek out towards digital and overuse of CG keeps me interested. If Lucas had his way the movie would have been a huge box office success but at the expense of quality and taste, as in the star wars prequels.

I'm pretty hopeful of the cast. Can't(easily) go wrong often with who they got. I will miss Sallah though. I loved John Rhys-Davies' character. Hopefully they at least let him know he wouldn't be in it and why. Though not from what I've heard.

Either way I'll be in the theaters two days after my birthday(It's like a slightly late birthday gift) watching the movie and ignoring whoever came with me. Expect a nice review post after I get home.

Also seeing as Indy and Harrison will be around the same age he doesn't need to do botox and hopefully won't.

REGINAROADIE

You know, I think INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL (which I just realized may be the longest title ever for a summer blockbuster) will have a lot more personal significance for me in an odd way.

My entire educational career has been bracketed by Indiana Jones. LAST CRUSADE came out in May 1989. I might have been in preschool by then, but I know I began kindergarten in Sept 1990. My final class ends on April 7th, and my grad ceremony is June 5th. After that, I'll be an adult in the real world.

To think that my entire educational career has taken place in between two INDIANA JONES movies.

In regard to the film itself, I'm psyched. But I do wonder if it will live up to the originals. I mean, LAST CRUSADE pretty much ended everything on a perfect note with Indy reconciling with Henry Sr. and them literally riding off into the sunset. I'm not sure how they'll top that. Maybe it'll be an ending similar to SUPERMAN RETURNS, where you see Indy passing the torch to Shia and be in the same position Henry Sr. was at the end of LAST CRUSADE.

Very cool. Sorta would have been the same for me if I'd have actually gone to college right after high school. As it is I still have no serious plans to.

Good luck with the adult in the real world thing... tell ya a secret... there is no real world and adults do not exist. Seriously. You never stop learning(well if your smart) and everyone else still acts like spoiled children.
