DEADLOCKVICTIM

Once again I avoided the local megaplex and waited for the dvd release... so I saw this last night for the first time... and now i'm wasting a perfectly good thursday morning watching it again..

this is weird - with a beard.... if you ask me. It's not your daddy's Donnie Darko, but Richard Kelly's strange vision just keeps getting stranger...

I haven't decided if there are just so many elements to this film that it's hard to see the complete picture clearly, or, if it's just a crazy conglomeration of randomness...

..oh, and SMG plays a fairly convincing retired porn star....!

Has anyone seen this..? any thoughts?

REGINAROADIE

I haven't seen it, but I am planning on renting once I get around to reading the three graphic novel prequels to it. My buddy rented it and hated it. Thought it was awful.

I just want to see Kevin Smith in a completely unrecognizable role.

ok, well I watched it twice and i did like it better the second time around... for one thing the music (Moby gets the musical score credit).. is really great - and the whole thing just has this wacky vibe to it -

also, a lot of actors you will recognize and some you may not - it really is interesting, in a suspension of reality sort of way....

Donnie Darko is still a favorite of mine - can't really say why - and of course that one is Richard Kelly's story, too - so i'm going to go with creative genius... but i could be way, way off the mark...
