Ok, if someone has posted this before sorry, send me off to the place I need to be.

Ok, following a chat with SpikeandJezebel on a different thread I am increasingly convinced that there may be a cheeky bit of theivery going on.

B7 started in 1979, therefore way before FF but there are a whole heap of similarities:

Serenity looks very similar to the main ship of B7 - the Liberator.

The plots are very similar - fugitives fleeing the intergalatic government doing anything they can to survive.

In Jaynestown Jayne is discovered to have thrown his colleague out of a failing ship before his money. In B7 Avon is about to do the same thing with one of his colleagues.

SpikeandJezebel pointed out the 'I was aiming for his head' exchange which is exactly the same as in a B7 episode.

There have to be other similarities. Does anyone know if Joss has explicitly said anywhere if he borrowed from B7 for this series?
