They aren't Sci-fi, but I watched these two pilots this week. Anybody else catch them? I found them both to be terrific! Judd Hirsch's speech in Studio 60 about how bad television has gotten was tremendous (although I think it was Hollywood spin to blame things on Christians, when every group these days is against negative depictions of their group). Smith was just great all around. both shows had great actors, great writing, great cinematography....highly recommended.

Looking forward to seeing Jericho, The Nine, Six Degrees, Heroes, and Kidnapped as well. This could be a good year for TV!

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

I liked Studio 60 a lot, but I have some problems with Smith. It was a good pilot as far as the writing, acting and pacing of the ep was concerned, but I have some major reservations about the producers asking us to identify with a bunch of criminals. I won't say more or else I would be posting spoilers.

I watched Jericho too, and I predict it will be one of the earliest ratings casualties this season. Whether or not it will actually be that depressing a show, my guess is that most people will assume it will be and avoid it.

Did not see Smith but saw the last half of Studio 60 and was impressed. Will have to get of the net and watch a full show next week. Got my fingers crossed that it continues to impress me and that it stays on the air for more the 10 episodes.

Saw studio 60, wasnt all that impressed but I'm gonna give it another try next week, missed Smith but tivo'd it will watch this weekend, also caught the new one Jericho, I liked it alot, give that one a chance if you have the time!
