is there anyone else here who enjoyed Roughnecks, that animated CGI show that did a better job of telling the story than the movie?

It retained a few things from the book (Power suits, and drop capsules) a few things from the movie (Dizzy being a girl (in the book Dizzy was a guy and died 4 pages in) Carl Jenkins being one person) and added a few things of it's own (The war starting on pluto)

so, any other Roughencks fans out there?

What do you make of the nylon dot cardigan and plastic mule rest?

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

I really enjoyed Roughnecks: Starship Troopers. The CGI animation made for a bit choppy scenes at times, but overall the show did more to tell the story than the movie. The show was also truer to the novel than the movie.

I have not picked up the dvds yet, but I have them on my Christmas list. Maybe Santa will be good to me this year.

I loved it. The CGI was among the best Mainframe ever produced --they were motion-capturing the actors' faces long before Peter Jackson came along, and on a TV budget, no less.

and it got cancelled before the end of it's first season. Is anyone else seeing a pattern here? all the good shows get axed well before their time (Usually due to some higher-ups idiotic dicision to put them on during the WORST time slots possible Firefly got the friday night spot o death, and roughnecks got 4:00 am according to wikipedia)

What do you make of the nylon dot cardigan and plastic mule rest?
