I've recently finished season 2 and I like it. I didnt really give Supernatural a fair go originally, I watched a couple of eps and thought meh.. Once I started watching in earnest though I became quite the fan. Dean is a classic, and I love their car.

One question though.. All through the series was the underlying theme that there were these few chosen people that the yellow eyed guy needed. He needed a special uber-person. Why?? All they had to do was stick a gun in a lock and shoot it... doesnt seem like he needed to go through all that crap to select his chosen one.. couldnt he have used any old shmoe?

CYBERSNARK

I'm guessing that releasing his demon army was only part one of yellow eyes' plan. He likely had numerous other plans for his "Chosen One" (and soldier-boy probably wasn't even the "winner" of that little "competition" anyway.

Hell, we have no evidence beyond his own word about any of that, and we already know how trustworthy he is.

It's possible that Sam's role in What Is To Come is only just beginning.

SINGATE

If we believe what Ole Yellow Eyes was saying then he wanted a general to lead his army. If said general happened to be the one to free the damned souls then it might further reinforce their need to take his or her orders.
