Christmas day, a marathon showing the digitially remastered series starting at 8pm. Then, starting Jan 8th, the series will air every Tuesday at 9pm.

I watched some of a Cosmos episode today and it blew me away just like always. While discussing the contributions of Johannes Kepler Sagan said, "When Kepler found his long-cherished belief did not agree with the most precise observation, he accepted the uncomfortable fact. He preferred the hard truth to his dearest illusions; that is the heart of science". How cool is that. Carl Sagan is one of the coolest guys to ever live, mainly because of his contribution to science education. I hope anyone interested in science that has not seen Cosmos will watch the entire series.

If I taught any science in HS or even Jr High, I'd definatly find time to show the Cosmos series to the class. Or at least have the kids watch it at home and test them on it the next day. It's an amazing seires and Dr Sagan was an amazing man.
