A discovery regarding the movie Outland!

I popped the DVD of Outland into my new upconverting DVD player, and lo & behold- IT PLAYED!! The widescreen, non-animorphic transfer is widely regarded as THE worst DVD transfer ever because it was ripped badly from the old laserdisk, and "vibrated" every other second or so, so badly as to make it unwatchable, so many, like me, were forced to watch the full screen side only.
But my new player, in the process of upconverting, seems to be able to "fill in" the missing visual info!! It's still not the best looking picture (sort of looks live good videotape), but it is definitely watchable!
At long last, I can see the movie widescreen!!!

Also, mediocre transfers like Logan's Run & Westworld now look almost pretty!!!

If I had known this before now, I DEFINITELY would have gotten it MUCH sooner.

Just a technical heads up for my fellow Browncoat videogeeks.
