There is another lost thread if you are interested in reading the ideas of others.

As I say there, Lost was a thought-provoking show in it's 1st season that Jumped the Shark in it's 2nd. It was the product of a group of writers that knew how to start a show that MIGHT get canceled, but didn't know what to do when it DIDN'T.

Honestly dude, there is nothing to get. Lost has no point. It's full of plot contadictions and abandoned story ideas. It's a pile of go-see.

There are a ton of people who disagree though. Somehow they see an amazing show that is amongst the best tv shows ever. I just don't see it. There is no reason to introduce a ton of plot lines to a story and never resolve them in any way. It's just not good writing IMO.

If you've seen Buffy then think of it this way. When season 4 started we saw the commando guys a few times. If Buffy had been Lost then we would have never seen those guys again and we'd just find out in an interview with the writers that the commandos weren't important.
