Doing it backwards. Walking up the downslide.

I was just pondering on the phrase "what you don't know can't hurt you" and just how extraordinarily false that is. Not only is it false, but believing such a thing can be quite harmful.

Thoughts? Anyone else have some fallacious sayings to ponder on?
