I didn't even bother to watch the videos. Typical tinfoil hat mentality.

It's gorram water Frackin vapor, morons! Planes at high altitude have been leaving CONTRAILS ever since they could climb high enough. Like in the 1930's. Yes, even piston engines leave contrails.

For the same reason your car exhaust steams in very cold weather. It's -30 to -50 F at altitude. Learn some basic physics/chemistry/earth science...

Sheesh. I learned this stuff in Jr. High. And I have spent plenty of time working around and fueling aircraft.

Jet fuel is pure kerosene. Sometimes with a small amount of additive (Prist)to prevent the fuel gelling up and to inhibit bacterial growth. And by small I mean small.

Here's how little Prist is in Jet fuel... (From the prist website)

Additive application = 1000-1500 PPM (1250 PPM Target)

1-1.5 gallons of additive to 1000 gallons of fuel
128 to 192 oz. to 1000 gallons of fuel
12.8 oz. to 19.2 oz. per 100 gallons (16 oz. target)

55 gallon drum = 7040 oz. (@128 oz. /gallon)
7040 oz. divided by 16 oz. target treats = 44,000 gallons

5 gallon pail = 640 oz. (@128 oz./gallon)
640 oz. divided by 16 oz. target treats = 4,000 gallons

Not every plane uses this. Where I worked, none of the planes used it since we routinely sumpped the water out and our planes had fuel heaters.

All prist is. Is the aircraft equivelent to automotive dry gas...

Chem trails my Pi-gu....

Causing the Flu?!?!?!?!? Influenza is a VIRUS!!! Learn some basic biology while you're at it.

Well, being that I've worked in the environmental clean-up industry, and most conditions on air forces bases aren't classified information, I can safely tell you that the air force causes huge damn messes with that jet fuel when it gets into the groundwater... Which it inevitably does, by both spills and from jet fuel releases during flight.

I can't comment on chemtrails, but I wouldn't dismiss the problems that a jet fuel release that can cause. The clean-up at Hill Air Force Base up north of me, the Kirtland base spill, and another one that the name escapes me right now. But the problems that cause these spills are so widespread and pervasive from systems that tend to be from the 1950s or older, it's a safe bet that most air bases established more than 30 years ago when groundwater spills started to become a concern are probably producing plumes.

There's also issues with the explosive stuff they use out on the firing ranges out near me as well.

"We'll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false." -- William Casey, Reagan's presidential campaign manager & CIA Director (from first staff meeting in 1981)

On the bright side, at least PN had the sense to put this in the "science fiction" area, since it *KIND OF* deals with science-y stuff, and it's definitely fiction.

So that's probably a big step up for him, realizing the difference between reality and his "stories"...

The modern definition of "socialist" is anyone who's winning an argument against a tea-bagger.

BTW my job in US Air Force was working on supersonic F111 bombers, breathing JP8 exhaust all day, both indoors and outdoors. Now I'm disabled with difficulty breathing. Coincidence? I also built a $1-million plastic jet aircraft. And I'm a pilot with an engineering background.

Negative.

Barium and aluminum are now added "to fight Global Warming" by reflecting the sunlight...except it reflects the heat back to Earth at night, causing Global Warming and Alzheimers Dementia. Doh!

Chemtrails are defined as contrails that persist all day or never go away.

Quote:

The not-so-secret ingredient: Stadis 450

dinonylnaphthalene sulfonic acid, barium salt

The most commonly used commercial turbine jet fuels today are named JET-A, JET-A1, and JET-B. All of these are kerosene type fuels except JET-B which is a kerosene-naphtha blend for colder climates [1, 2]. JET-A is used internationally and JET-A1 is available only in the US. The US military primarily uses its own kerosene jet fuel, JP-8, which is similar to JET-A1 [11, 2].

A number of chemical additives are used in these fuels including corrosion inhibitors, temperature stabilizers, detergents, and static electricity dissipators. Static dissipators are of particular importance to atmospheric aerosol and environmental research, due to their metal content and their widespread use in commercial and military jet fuel [17, 8]. Octel Starreon Stadis® 450 is a static dissipator, comprised of dinonylnapthalene sulfonic acid and other organic solvents, and according to the product MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet), it contains two “trade secret” ingredients [18]. Stadis 450 is the only approved anti-static additive for use in Air Force aviation fuels, including JP-8, JP-5, JET-A1, and JET-B [9]. DuPont, the original manufacturer, reports having divested its production of Stadis 450 in September of 1994 to Octel Starreon LLC , now a subsidiary of Innospec Fuel Specialties. Innospec also manufactures another static dissipator additive called Statsafe®. However, according to Exxon Mobil, Stadis 450 continues to be the static dissipator of choice for commercial and military aviation [17].

Stadis® 450 is the only additive currently manufactured for use in aviation turbine fuels approved by the major turbine and airframe manufacturers.

Although the “trade secret” ingredients are well protected by the manufacturer, a recent study contracted by the EPA [10] and other sources strongly imply that these ingredients are salts of barium and/or calcium. The EPA classifies this dinonylnaphthalene sulfonic acid, barium salt as a “HPV” (High Production Volume) chemical, meaning it is “produced or imported into the United States in quantities of 1 million pounds or more per year [12].” This same study reports that “Based on the available toxicity results, dinonylnaphthalene sulfonic acid, barium salt appears to be the most biologically active member of the [dinonylnaphthalene] category [10].”

If one phenomenon gives away the presence of metals in the aerosol, it would be the large number of high altitude rainbows produced by contrail aerosol. Virtually unheard of prior to 1990, bright rainbows, sometimes referred to as “circumhorizon arcs” or more commonly, “chembows,” can be observed regularly wherever jet aircraft fly.

According to a patent issued to Hughes Aircraft Company for dispersing metallic aerosol into the stratosphere, particles may stay suspended for up to a year. Hughes Aircraft, a major US defense contractor [14, 15], has been bought and sold by other defense contractors such as Boeing and Raytheon in recent years.

Exeprt from United States Patent 5003186:

Quote:

The particles may be seeded by dispersal from seeding aircraft; one exemplary technique may be via the jet fuel as suggested by prior work regarding the metallic particles. Once the tiny particles have been dispersed into the atmosphere, the particles may remain in suspension for up to one year.
