I went and saw the new Dawn of the Dead in the theaters and thought it was awesome. Now that it's on DVD, as the Director's Cut, I've seen it four times in six days and it just keeps gettin' better everytime I see it!

I like that they did a "re-envision" of it instead of a tired old remake. I don't think the original can be remade. But what they did is what James Cameron did with Aliens: they took a suspense/horror movie and turned it into an action movie in that same setting. And the same kinda sick humor was there, only not as goofy and more comic relief. The characters were all great, even Steve the ass. Tell me you didn't laugh at his cracks. They all had depth and became just who you wanted them to be by the end of the movie. Great music, action, suspense, pace, characterization, plot, humor, setting... what more could you ask for in a movie?

I only hope that they re-do Day of the Dead now, and I mean the script that never got made instead of the movie we saw.
