Author Notes: This is my 1st ever fan faction, it’s actually my 1st ever completed story I’ve written, since most stories haven’t been interesting enough to actually finish. Don’t mind if my writing ain’t that good. It will coincide with Tina’s (TinaDoll) Verse & some stories will be intertwined into each other’s stories or related. My friends say I have a slightly odd sense of humor, you have been warned, just wait until the ant scene in Chapter 7.

Chapter 1: The Beginning of a new man, the ending of the old

Flying through space for him seemed like a chore not unless it involved dogfights, tracking somebody, or sex. He flipped the auto pilot switch, and then decided to get some rest before the appointment.

He Dreams…

“Hey you”, says a beautiful woman wearing a long Browncoat,

“Hey I missed Maria you while you were gone”, says Matt.

She kisses him on the lips and then she says, “I told you I don’t like that name, anyway any word on the current status of our ships coming”,

Matt replies, “Nope but our Angels will come just you wait then we can stop fighting this War and retire on some planet and have some kids”,

Scorpion then says, Yeah we’ll see about that, try the radio again”.

Matt then checks with command, a few minutes later he walks up to Maria and the rest of the Scorpion Squadron or what’s left of them,

“what’s a matter Darkfly”, she says,

he replies, “they ain’t coming they think it’s getting too hot, we’ve been told to surrender”.

“What the fuck are they thinking we can win Serenity Valley if they just gorram get those fucking ships down here, Maria says,

Matt says, “we’ll there not, I’ve been ordered to find all remaining Browncoats & then meet up with the highest ranking Browncoat, Sgt.Reynolds”,

Scorpion then replies, “No, I’m not gonna give up, does that abandoned Alliance glider still work over there”,

Matt then replies, “Yeah but this ain’t no time for fucking heroics Maria”, M

aria runs over to the abandoned Alliance glider she then turns around and shouts,

“I love you Matt”,

Matt replies, “promise to come back”,

she goes all quiet turns then gets in the glider & lifts off. Five minutes later… “We’ve have to get moving Officer Dark we can’t wait any longer for Officer Theresa”,

Matt ponders for a moment then is about to utter something when a voice speaks on the radio, Matt grabs it as fast as a Cheetah then says,

“Maria is that you”, then the voice says,

“No this is Sgt.Reynolds, the coordinates of the rendezvous point are, 5.4.7.3.9.6.7,”,

Matt replies back, “Understand but have you seen a woman she’s one of us, Browncoat about 5ft 8 dark brown hair, she was last seen flying an abandoned Alliance Glider”,

Sgt.Reynolds then replies, “No the last Glider I saw was coming straight at me, I shot it down”

...Matt just froze when he heard those last words he felt angrier, sadder, and more depressed than ever before, falling to the ground crying, he then gets up then runs off into the distance.

"CLUNK"

Matt hears a clunk & suddenly wakes up from is sleep muttering,

“Hate those godforsaken memories”,

the glider starts to automatically dock onto the side of a space station orbiting a planet.

Inside the Space station…

Niska says, “did you get my goods Mr.Dark”,

“I got your gorram goods blew up the base while I was at it too”, said Mr.Dark.

“Good thing I don’t care for governments otherwise I’d kill you, yes”, Niska said,

“I don’t care for them either”.

“Since your reputation is not gossip anymore Mr.Dark or should I call you Matt now we are getting to know one another, I have another deal for you if you choose to accept it”,

“I’m all ears though we’ll stick to Mr.Dark for now”, he replies back.

“There is a bounty hunter I want you to follow she is leaving from a Blue Sun base tomorrow, she will lead you to somebody I want more than anything”.

Matt reply’s, “as long as I don’t know who the person is you want, I’m fine with the rest”,

Niska replies, “Good her name is Scorpion one of the best bounty hunters there is,

Matt gulps,

"Do you have a problem with her Mr.Dark”, Niska says,

“No not at all just swallowed a bug that was all, Niska replies,

“Good I’ll get one of my men to give you the coordinates to the base on your way out, remember if you not successful your reputation will become gossip once more & not solid”,

“I understand”, Matt replies, by the way could you get some of your men to fit a ion cannon onto my ship, this women your asking me to track is a smart”,

smug looking he says”, and a right unpredictable”.
