President-elect Donald Trump refused to rule out using military force to take control of Greenland.
"We need Greenland for national security purposes," he said, adding that it has only 45,000 residents. "People really don’t even know if Denmark has any legal right to it. But if they do, they should give it up because we need it for national security."

Looks like Second's Lefty Media is still in full meltdown mode 2 months after the election.

Don't worry about it, Second. All of your Slates and Voxes and Salons will soon be out of business, and CNN and MSNBC will be replacing their "talent" and you won't hear any of that out of them anymore either.

Maybe then you can go back to being a human being.

You failed to notice the large transfer of money to the Rich that is planned by Trump:

The GOP’s Tax Plans

The Treasury Department released numbers Friday showing that rolling over all of the soon-to-lapse provisions, as well as undoing other reductions in business benefits that were triggered by the 2017 law, would cost $5.5 trillion — substantially more than the $4 trillion the Congressional Budget Office has projected.

Treasury was examining the cost and the biggest winners of renewing the provisions. Not surprisingly, the analysis says the super-rich would see the biggest benefits. $416,249 reduction in annual taxes according to Table 4 from The Cost and Distribution of Extending Expiring Provisions of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017

The same tax table shows that 6ixStringJack and his neighbors will get zero dollars but they will complain that the Democrats -- not Trump -- increased the National Debt by $5.5 trillion.

'He will not help you': Trump family member says President-elect is 'terrible in a crisis'

By David McAfee | January 11, 2025 6:56PM ET

https://www.rawstory.com/mary-trump-terrible-in-crisis/

If you're relying on Donald Trump to help you in the wake of disasters, like the fires that are raging in Los Angeles, don't hold your breath, says a member of Trump's own family Saturday.

Trump's niece, Mary Trump, is a trained psychologist who has criticized her family in the past. She weighed in on Trump's response to the fires over the weekend, calling out her uncle's decision to instantly attack California Governor Gavin Newsom.

"Unfortunately for us, one of the people who has been most vocal, and least useful, during this ongoing tragedy — Donald Trump — is terrible in a crisis. By that, I don’t mean he doesn’t handle crises well (although this is undoubtedly true), I mean he exploits tragedies for his own ends, making things worse for the rest of us in the process," she wrote.

She then added, "While a significant portion of our most populous state is literally on fire, conspiracists and purveyors of disinformation on the far right—and let’s be honest, they’re always on the right—are following Donald’s lead by politicizing the disaster."

Mary Trump went on to say that we all know this is how Trump reacts to emergencies like this.

"We've seen the real world consequences of what happens when Donald is in charge during a crisis. He’s withheld disaster aid from states whose governors didn’t pay him sufficient obeisance; he’s diverted resources away from first responders; he’s repeatedly failed communities in crisis, and he’s often made recommendations based on pseudo-science that have made everything worse (He actually recommended detonating a nuclear warhead in the eye of a hurricane in 2020)," she wrote Saturday. "What we can expect, because we've seen time and time again: If you need help in a crisis, but you do not kiss Donald’s a-- sufficiently, he will not help you. He will use the crisis to perpetuate misinformation and conspiracy theories which will lead to a greater loss of life. He will blame the victims. He will divide us against each other. That is the playbook."

"Donald Trump’s Greenland, Canada and Panama talk is a distraction so everyone forgets what he promised.

He said he would end the war in Ukraine before he even becomes president.

He promised cheaper groceries, $2.00 per gallon gas and no more taxes on overtime.

Don’t let him move the goalposts."

We're getting more uncertain as Inauguration Day approaches.

Uncertainty has been shooting up in January as Trump blathers on about Greenland and the Panama Canal. Add in tax cuts, tariffs, and Republican infighting over the budget:

The Sad List of Trump Walkbacks So Far:

1. Grocery prices aren't going to come down after all.

2. Tariffs might raise prices. Hard to say.

3. Maybe the tariffs won't be for everyone.

4. We probably aren't going to deport everyone either.

5. And we're not going to pardon all of the January 6th insurrectionists.

That last one is brand new and comes from J.D. Vance, who says Trump will only pardon insurrectionists who didn’t commit violence. But everyone who was convicted of using violence was sent to prison, and Trump originally said he would release everyone in prison. Now J.D. Vance says they’re going to have to serve out their sentences. Sad.

What will Trump do about Musk?

Steve Bannon: Elon Musk ‘is a truly evil guy’

https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2025/01/11/steve-bannon-i-will-do-a
nything-keep-elon-musk-out-white-house
/

Breitbart News, summarizing an interview with Italy’s Corriere della Sera, reports:

“I will have Elon Musk run out of here by Inauguration Day,” Bannon told the Italian daily Corriere della Sera this week. “He will not have a blue pass to the White House, he will not have full access to the White House, he will be like any other person.”

“He is a truly evil guy, a very bad guy. I made it my personal thing to take this guy down,” Bannon added. “Before, because he put money in, I was prepared to tolerate it; I’m not prepared to tolerate it anymore.”

At the heart of the recent clash between Elon Musk and Steve Bannon is the immigration question, and specifically the H-1B visas for skilled immigrants working in “specialty occupations,” which Musk has said he supports. But for Bannon, the issue is emblematic of a bigger problem in Musk’s thinking.

“This thing of the H-1B visas, it’s about the entire immigration system is gamed by the tech overlords, they use it to their advantage, the people are furious,” Bannon said, noting that “76 percent of engineers working in Silicon Valley are non-Americans.”

“No blacks or Hispanics have any of these jobs or any access to these jobs,” Bannon said.

“Peter Thiel, David Sachs, Elon Musk, are all white South Africans,” Bannon observed. “He should go back to South Africa. Why do we have South Africans, the most racist people on earth, white South Africans, we have them making any comments at all on what goes on in the United States?”

“We have been fighting this fight for ten years,” he declared. “We are going to expose the entire corruption of the American system, of how money controls everything and hopefully we’ll inspire you in Italy to wake up,” he told Corriere della Sera journalist Viviana Mazza.

Elon “just had a huge defeat here in America,” Bannon argued, on the question of H-1B visas and their importance to the economy of the United States.

“He went out of his way to mock our movement as racist and retards, and he lost,” Bannon said. “We blew him out of the water. He won’t fight. He’s got the maturity of a little boy.”

Musk has had “tremendous loss of credibility here in the United States, and quite frankly, the people around Trump are tired of it,” he said.

Bannon went on to accuse Musk of being self-serving, insisting that his “sole objective is to become a trillionaire.”

“He will do anything to make sure that any one of his companies is protected or has a better deal or he makes more money. His aggregation of wealth, and then — through wealth — power: that’s what he’s focused on,” Bannon said.

Bannon said that Musk’s economic support of President Trump has been a positive thing, adding that he should do the same for any of the different populist movements in Europe.

“What’s not positive,” he added, “is when all of a sudden he tries to put his half-baked ideas which are really about the implementation of techno-feudalism on a global scale. I don’t support that and we’ll fight it.”

Pete Hesgeth, Trump’s nominee for defense secretary, wants to honor military traitor Braxton Bragg

Braxton Bragg was a general in the Confederacy and slave owner who lost nearly every battle he was involved in during the Civil War. A naming commission set up by Congress to study renaming bases noted Bragg is “considered one of the worst generals of the Civil War,” and was “widely disliked in the pre-Civil War U.S. Army and within the Confederate Army by peers and subordinates alike.”

Pete Hesgeth thinks that Fort Liberty should go back to its previous name, Fort Bragg.

The names for nine US military bases previously dedicated to Confederate leaders were changed by the National Defense Authorization Act. Trump vetoed the bill in protest over the renaming provision, but Congress overrode the veto.

The U.S. military wrestles with possible deployment on U.S. soil under Trump

Michael Hirsh writes:

The last time an American president deployed the U.S. military domestically under the Insurrection Act — during the deadly Los Angeles riots in 1992 — Douglas Ollivant was there. Ollivant, then a young Army first lieutenant, says things went fairly smoothly because it was somebody else — the cops — doing the head-cracking to restore order, not his 7th Infantry Division. He and his troops didn’t have to detain or shoot at anyone.

“There was real sensitivity about keeping federal troops away from the front lines,” said Ollivant, who was ordered in by President George H.W. Bush as rioters in central-south LA set fire to buildings, assaulted police and bystanders, pelted cars with rocks and smashed store windows in the aftermath of the videotaped police beating of Rodney King, a Black motorist. “They tried to keep us in support roles, backing up the police.”

By the end of six days of rioting, 63 people were dead and 2,383 injured — though reportedly none at the hands of the military.

But some in the U.S. military fear next time could be different. According to nearly a dozen retired officers and current military lawyers, as well as scholars who teach at West Point and Annapolis, an intense if quiet debate is underway inside the U.S. military community about what orders it would be obliged to obey if President-elect Donald Trump decides to follow through on his previous warnings that he might deploy troops against what he deems domestic threats, including political enemies, dissenters and immigrants.

Republicans won big in the 2024 election, but the streak might not last long:

. . . A deep dive inside the numbers suggests that while the election results were bad for Democrats, they aren’t quite as awful as they seem.

For starters, it’s important to remember that Democrats were fighting an uphill battle this year. Around the globe, in 2024, every single incumbent party in a developed democracy lost vote share. You know the last time that happened? Never.

Moreover, while President-elect Donald Trump emerged victorious, his margin of victory, 1.6 points, was the fifth-smallest in the last 100 years. As much as the MAGA world wants to portray his victory as a landslide, it wasn’t. . . .

. . . If the last few election cycles tell us anything, political power in America is fleeting. After all, in 2008, Democrats won a governing trifecta … and by 2016, the GOP controlled Congress and the White House. Four years later, the tables were completely turned, and Democrats won back a trifecta … only to lose it to Republicans four years later.

Quite simply, it might not be long before the election postmortems are being written about the GOP.

USA Today: The Democratic Party's leadership crisis: 'Don't know' and 'Nobody' outpoll pols

cratic-party-leadership-crisis/77680714007/?tbref=hp

Quote:

Don’t take my word for it, we polled the question last week. When asked to name the leader of the Democratic Party, nearly half of all registered voters nationally in our Suffolk University/USA TODAY couldn’t name a person or volunteered “Nobody.”

For the record, here is the list of open-ended responses to the question, listing only responses totaling 1% or more in descending order from the Suffolk University/USA TODAY poll of registered voters taken between Jan. 7 and Jan. 11:

Don’t Know: 30%
Nobody: 19%
(Vice President) Kamala Harris: 10%
(Congressman) Hakeem Jeffries: 9%
(Former President) Barack Obama: 8%
(California Governor) Gavin Newsom: 3%
(Former House Speaker) Nancy Pelosi: 3%
(New York Senator) Chuck Schumer: 3%
(President) Joe Biden: 2%
(New York Congresswoman) Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: 2%
(Investor and philanthropist) George Soros: 1%
(Vermont Senator) Bernie Sanders: 1%
(Transportation Secretary) Pete Buttigieg: 1%
(Pennsylvania Senator) John Fetterman: 1%

You're fucked.

That's a who's who list of the biggest fucking losers in the country. Not one of them are capable of being President, and some of them aren't even qualified. George Soros? Really? How fucking dumb are Democrat voters anyway?

You have nobody. You have no bench, and your starters all suck.

And your worst problem is that every American knows every name on that list, and they hate the people on that list.

The Democrat party is finished.
