I normally wouldn't post about a film like this.

But last night I went to the only remaining cinema open in my city, and this was Sold Out for all of the shows of the night. I did manage to talk the manager into letting me purchase one of the handicapped seats, since every one was vacant.

I have not seen any ads or trailers for this film, so I don't know if word had gotten out somehow that folk should watch it.
I noticed other films showing which had production years from 2017 until 2019 but release dates of October 2020. Including Synchratic, 2 Hearts, and Come Play, one of which is not scheduled until Friday.

This film was produced in 2018. I'm not sure what all of the concepts intended were, but I got the impression that they didn't have the budget or creativity to show their concepts on the visual moving canvas. The cinematography or direction did not seem up to the task. It is possible that the content and concepts made sense to some folk, but it was too disjointed and random for me to put it together.

Wow. 2.5 hours long?

Reviews are negative overall, but some people seem to love it. I guess it came from a comic book?

Well that explains a lot. Heavy turnout. And why the film didn't bother explaining anything - you were supposed to already know it.

Now I think of it as more like Ewe Boll's King films.

It seemed to have a more impressive cast than your average Netflix horror garbage flick, so I'm not surprised it got a theatrical release.

Pretty ballzy on your part for putting money down on a modern horror flick though. Short of RomCom's it's got to be the worst genre in existence.

I only recognized 2 or the cast.

Tuesdays are $5 movie night, including complimentary popcorn. As long as cinemas are providing this sort of value, I almost feel obligated to patronize until the point there is nothing to see. When the whole listing is full of cartoons, I skip it.
