A downright epic homage to the B-flick popcorn monster movies of old, complete with obligatory setpieces and thrashing every stock cliche with a flail wielded expertly by the SFX masters down at ILM and it's just freakin awesome.

Mecha decking a Kaiju with a freakin tanker - MAXIMUM BAD, baby!

I did get a very slight impression it had been chopped a bit for time, clocking in at 230 minutes, which is a bit much for the average moviegoers goldfish-like attention span, and consequently leaves me eager to get my grubby little hands on a directors cut or collectors edition, but you do get your moneys worth, oh indeed that.

The part that gave me a moment of hilarious pause was the amazing attention to detail (physics be damned) resulting in a blink and you'll miss it bit that practically left me snorting cola out my nose - hadn't considered THAT problem!



But overall, goooood stuff, sure it's cheese, but it's AWESOME cheese, and every ounce is delicious!
