Didn't see a thread for this. Maybe I should have looked farther down.

Anyhow, looking forward to it, have been since the sequel was announced. Noticed just now that Devon Aoki has been replaced by Jamie Chung. Had not realized that Devon had left the biz. Have been noticing that Jamie is quite the hotness, be cool to see her kick butt.

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

You had me at Jamie Chung. :)

Indeed she rates an 11 on the Hotness Scale.

She was Amber, the pilot in Sucker Punch.

Yes, please! I want me some of that!

She hasn't. She's joined the cast of Arrow this season. Don't know why she didn't do this, though.

Her imdb seemed dead since 2009, so I figured she left to have her 2 kids.

It would make sense if she took a few years off for that.

Yep.
Although I will miss her in SC2, I likey the replacement with Jaime.

Does anybody have a catalog of pics with the hotness known as Jaime?

I take it that this is a prequel to the original Sin City ?

( see what I did there ? )

Hmmmm.

No.

and no.

But it seems Dwight played by Clive Owen was replaced by Josh Brolin.

I do still love this cast, except Alba. In the original, about every female in it was nekkid except, of course, the only character who was a stripper (Alba). Supreme hypocracy and disbelief ensues.

They did include a trailer for Hateful 8, next year's Tarentino flick - seems shiny.

How is it not a prequel, when 2 of the main characters in the movie have already died ?

And how'd you miss 'original Sin' City ??

Do I need to underline if for you as well ?

Sheesh !

Not all that much a fan of Tarantino myself, so I'll stop short of 'shiny' when it comes to his work.

I also could have mentioned that I was somewhat stuck by the huge amount of costume changes by Eva Green. Continuity person must have been busy. I'm not sure if it was a gag, or not, but most of the characters had the same outfit on for the entire film.
Also, Christopher Meloni as a cop? Whodathunk? Starting with 12 Monkeys, could he be typecast?

arrrgh. I was tired yesterday, had lots of mind-dulling excursions with the real world of idiots.

Dead Hartigan was dealt with.
The other dead character? Who?
Was not a prequel. This is Hollywood. Death is a scriptwriter's plot device or ploy.

Marv ?

Hello!

Dunno what you mean by 'Hartigan was dealt with ', unless the bullet that went through his skull some how missed his brain.

I'll wait till it comes on HBO.

Marv could be killed?

Apparently I was incorrect. I have now read that part of the sequence of scenes was before the original, and part of them were after.

Hartigan scenes were essentially after.
If Marv was dead, then his scenes must be prequel, or discontinuity ensues. I didn't remember his scenes being truncated much. Hard for me to process this new info, and how the prequel and sequel scenes were intertwined.
I did understand that Jamie King's primary character was killed, and now she has a prequel scene with herself as her character's twin sister, plus then scenes sequel as her surviving twin sister.

Was a little difficult to recognize Lady Gaga, since she was the most reasonable and normal dressed character in the flick. Not sure if that was, like, irony.

Blondie was the twin sister that Marv was framed for killing. I'm not familiar w/ the characters beyond what I've seen from the movie, so if Marv could some how " recover " from an execution, then I guess almost anything is possible.

Did you not see the original movie ? Or maybe it was so long ago, the finer points have been forgotten ?

The storyline with Marv is a prequel - no recovery involved.

That would be Yes and No. The Alba storyline is a sequel, the Dame to Kill for story is a prequel (thus Marv being alive, and Dwight having his pre- plastic surgery face).

Nevermind - she just backed out of Arrow, and was replaced by the sidekick from The Wolverine.

Bingo. I think I own it, somewhere. But it's been awhile. I've seen Firefly a bit more recently several times.
The execution would have been a bit after the main body of the first film.
I had not originally understood that the storylines had been intertwined in time continuity.
