Maybe they'll get into that more later. I guess explaining all his quirks at once would just take too much time, but I'm hoping they'll work it in.

Quote:Originally posted by WorkerOfEvil: I read the books. I have the first seven and read the eighth. I had some problems with the TV show because they changed so much from the book for no reason I can think of. I always have a bit of a problem when shows do that. I understand that they changed Murphy's first name from the one in the book because there was an actual Karrin Murphy in the Chicago police department. That doesn't bother me. Why she's suddenly a 5'8" brunette instead of a 5' or 5'1" blonde I don't know. Why did they make Bob the ghost of a wizard instead of a spirit of intellect that happened to be inhabiting a skull? Why did they make werewolves able to infect people with a bite when a whole book was about werewolves and how the infection thing was just a myth? Why is Morgan a young black man instead of an older white man? And most importantly why doesn't Harry Dresden walk around in his duster jacket all the time like he's frickin supposed to? The episodes I saw were entertaining enough, but really the show seems to be related to the books only in setting, character names, and basic premise.

It was so much easier when I worked at Waldenbooks, I got stuff at a great discount as soon as it came out- hard back or not. Can't afford hardbacks now. Since they haven't included mister on the series, I'm hoping maybe they'll include the dog! Deb

Quote:As I said, the actor's too tall for the Beetle. The hockey stick and drumstick are because he has to carry these things around in public, and he doesn't want people asking questions.
Quote:Chicago isn't Sunnydale, where teenagers can stroll around at night carrying wooden stakes and bladed weapons in full view.
