This may be the single most epic music video of all time. And I'm not exaggerating.

For those of you who don't have a clue as to what the Guild is, it is a massively popular webseries created by Felicia Day that chronicles the hilarious lives of a MMORPG guild. And they just came out with this.....

That was awesome! That is one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time. And it's really well done. Also, Felicia looked great in that video. I also noticed that Maurissa Tancharoen was one of the dancers (writes for Dollhouse and Dr. Horrible, was in Dr. Horrible, and I think she's also married to Jed Whedon).

As I was watching this for the 2nd time yesterday I couldn't help but think those actors probably NEVER thought they'd be doing a music video of that calibur. Or that they'd actually be able to wear great looking costumes based on their character's in-game characters. Certainly a huge leap from Season 1 to Season 2.

I'm thinking it was the one best thing The Guild could do to gain an even wider audience. The video appeals to people who know nothing of The Guild, though it's funnier to us fans.

My 18-year-old daughter, for example, only watched The Guild AFTER falling in love with the video (and posting it to all her millions of friends' Facebook pages).

That's exactly what my fellow Guild fans and I have been talking about. It's been the #1 music video on iTunes for 3 DAYS. They think that had a huge fan base before this? This is going to skyrocket their viewership and popularity. Which means this does good for the newly developing independent web series industry (yay for no major studios and their meddling!).

And that is Maurissa

I caught it on the 4th viewing, cool to see some of the Whedon clan.

Can we just get Joss to ditch Dollhouse and start his own independent web series? 'Cause seriously, how fast would that become a sensation? (and we all know Joss is his best network free and unfettered)

I learned just a few weeks ago about Maurissa being married to Jed. I knew they were together (as I have laughed at their labor day youtube video) but i didn't know they had actually tied the knot.

And yes, TONS of talent in the Whedonclan.

bought the mp3 from amazon immediately, allready had the season 1&2 dvds, but i simply refuse to use itunes,( apple ain't gettin none of my $$) so i guess i'll have to live with a streaming version of the video for now..
