Quote: If by that you mean the film that is also known as "Grand Tour: Disaster in Time," that was filmed for Showtime in 1992 and stars Jeff Daniels, that would be in serious contention for at least honorable mention. I do like it a lot, but I am prejudiced because it is based on one of my most favorite short stories of all time, "Vintage Season" by Henry Kuttner and C. L. Moore.

I caught it quite by accident years ago and I was really impressed with the pacing of it. Daniels is good in it, and I liked the concept. I don't know anything about the short stories though. Does it even credit the short story do you know? Cartoons - http://cirqusartsandmusic.blogspot.com

It was definitely called Timescape in the UK because I had an old VHS tape of it and then I had to get the DVD from the US which had the Grand Tour title. I really liked it as well, the idea of why the travellers were there and the impact Jeff Daniels had on them and how it all played out was great. Very underwatched film that is good for adults and kids. Plus it features my fave classical piece of music - Fur Elise. I think I'll dig my copy out and give it another watch.

Quote:Originally posted by TheSomnambulist: Hey Lwaves. Y'know what I reckon we probably both watched it on the same night it was aired here in England. Did you ever see a rare British film called TIMESLIP? It was made in the 50's and it was about a guy who is found in the Thames with a radioactive beam across his body and he happens to be seven and a half minutes in front of everybody else... It wasn't at all bad, and made in that really cool 50's stark black and white style that British cinema used to do so well back then.

She probably became rather fed up of being cast a 'child chased by a monster' after her performances in that and Jurassic Park... actually come to think of it she must be about 30 or so now!!!! Woah does that make me feel old.... Timeslip the TV series eh... Nope don't remember that one... Sounds like Time Bandits ?
