SciFi Channel Question

GRIZWALD

I confess, we don't actually have the Sci-Fi channel. I recorded BSG 3.1 Friday night off my neighbor's cable, then watched it at home. Silly, but Mr. Grizwald said if I wanted SciFi, I had to cancel our Netflix membership, and I thought I would regret it.

My question: I notice on the SciFi schedule lineup that they are playing the same BSG season opener like 40 times this week. Is it that way with all the episodes, or is it just because this is the season opener?

Because if it is that way all through the season, I have a much better chance of getting more episodes recorded for me.

Thanks!

As I am a slave to the Tivo God, I can answer this question.

Typically, BSG episodes are on 3-6 times in the week following their Friday Night "First Run."

Several shows in the week are late night/early morning - prime tivo recording time.

PS- Tell Mr. Grizwald I said he's bonkers for not having SciFi channel. SciFi goodness right there.

LOL! Thank you dearie, and frankly I have told him but then he brings up tiresome subjects like budgets and looming credit card bills and such, and I have to cave.

Grizwald-

Frak the budget. He's missing Eureka and BSG. Two of the best reasons my tivo knows channel 244 by heart. Also turned me on to "Dead Like Me."

Boy, will he be sorry once "The Dresden Files" begins.

(Ok, sorry for that pitiful display of tv-itis. I need to get out more often!)

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

The way they are running it now is a bit of an overkill, but they will scale back in a couple of weeks to running each ep on just two different occasions.

On Friday nights new episodes will run at 9pm and repeat at 11pm (Eastern/Pacific time). This week's ep will repeat again the following Monday night at 11pm and again on Tuesday at 4pm. Thereafter, other than Friday nights, they will only run it one more time, on Mondays at 11pm.

I'm right there with you on both the loving of the Sci-fi channel
(easily my favorite channel, I couldn't get on without it)
and my excited anticipation of the Dresden Files!
I can't wait!

Right now BSG is Sci-fi's highest rated show and they are giving it some extra promotion (there is even talk of NBC stealing it to see how it does on network)
but even without BSG I am so addicted to Doctor Who, Eureka, Dead Like Me, Dark Angel, and other shows I only get to see on Sci-fi, that I could never give it up!

What's "the dresden files?"

Simon: "Were there any Feds?"
mal: "No, no Feds, just an honest brawl between folk."

And show-run by Robert Hewitt Wolfe.

EDIT with an update: They've begun shooting the series, for a premiere in January, and the RHW weather-curse is still in effect. http://www.exisle.net/mb/index.php?showtopic=41417
