I like how some of the comments underneath the article seem to think that this means the reboot is dead. All it says is that they turned down the script and are looking for new writer. There is speculation that it 'may have lost steam' but that is from the website not the studio. Some people really can't understand what they read.
Of course, I hope that it is dead and this is a step in the right direction.

I can imagine a gravestone in the near future.
