And even then, they didn't even seem to care how odd it was that no one knew who he was.

EDITED TO ADD:

Dude, that guy in the red dotted tie has a voice for radio and he's not ugly, even though he's old now.....

If I could command English words spoken and anyone I spoke them to in that voice, you'd never even know I was alive....

Sure he's grey now, but that dude has been in 2000 vaginas in his career at least...

Kwickie - can't deal w/ the fact that the media gave Obama a complete and total pass, can ya?

Distort, distract and ignore... classic M.O.

And it's cute how HK has turned such a blind eye to the point being made, concerning the vetting process that WASN'T done by the MSM, that he's dug up a 3 year old thread which only validates me, all that much more.

Keep in mind, this isn't ME saying these things, HK. This was the elites in the media, the old guards, the icons of journalism. Try and get fussy over the points they're bringing up. YOU tell them that Obama's view on the world is plainly accessible on his website. Apparently, they can tell the difference between campaign pablum and real, actual view points. You can't.

Now that they do know who he is they are going to try to distract us with crap like gay marriage, I don't believe it'll work this time. It's too late for Barry and his whores in the MSM, the great unwashed doesn't trust either of them anymore. Even the great New York Times is $40 million in the hole and is having labor trouble, and CNN has the worst ratings in 15 years. The Demorats already know how bad they're going to get their asses kicked so they started their hissy fit now, they've become "pre-sore losers".

Didn't watch the video and don't care. The argument that we didn't know who Barack Obama was is simply the most ridiculous piece of crap argument their is. There are books, stories and all kinds of other content out there regarding just about every part of the man's life.

Not to mention he has done basically what he promised to do during his campaign. If anyone says they do not know who Barack Obama is they have not been paying attention.

This coming from the person who post a 4 year old video. I'm sorry you think you need a person's college transcripts to know someone. I'm sure you can find those for all the people you support. As well as all of their writings. If not, and if you have not personal read all those things for those people it makes you a fucking massive hypocrite.

As for Dunning-Kruger, it has nothing to do with not needing to watch videos. It has to do with thinking you are better then you are, and can't see when they make mistakes. That fits a person the thinks they win arguments when they can't even present a coherent one.

Someone like you.

Did you know Obama was born in Kenya? His bio said so, back in 1991, long before he was even a state Senator of Illinois.

It's true. It's not ME saying it, but Brokaw and Rose saying it themselves.

You obviously are uncomfortable with them admitting these things, and so you get upset. Not at them, but at me, for showing the facts as posting the video.

The emperor has no clothes. It's plain to see. Yet even when 2 old school journalists, who undoubtedly still voted for Obama, come out and openly admit they have no idea who this man is... It's clearly too much for you to handle. So you lash out... at me.

Gettin' old, but still a hippie at heart...

Jezus, this one's been debunked enough times already, Nick is right. So here are some facts:
Quote:

Obama's former literary agency misidentified his birthplace as Kenya while trying to promote the then-Harvard Law grad as an author in 1991.

According to a promotional booklet produced by the agency, Acton & Dystel, to showcase its roster of writers, Obama was "born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii."

Miriam Goderich edited the text of the bio; she is now a partner at the Dystel & Goderich agency, which lists Obama as one of its current clients.

"This was nothing more than a fact checking error by me--an agency assistant at the time," Goderich wrote in an emailed statement to Yahoo News. "There was never any information given to us by Obama in any of his correspondence or other communications suggesting in any way that he was born in Kenya and not Hawaii. I hope you can communicate to your readers that this was a simple mistake and nothing more."

A copy of the booklet was published on Breitbart.com, under the headline: " Obama's Literary Agent in 1991 Booklet: 'Born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii.' It was part of the "vetting" of the president the site's late founder, Andrew Breitbart, had promised.

Breitbart.com published a lengthy disclaimer with the brochure, saying it does not believe Obama was born outside of the United States:
Quote:

Andrew Breitbart was never a "Birther," and Breitbart News is a site that has never advocated the narrative of "Birtherism." In fact, Andrew believed, as we do, that President Barack Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, on August 4, 1961.
Yet Andrew also believed that the complicit mainstream media had refused to examine President Obama's ideological past, or the carefully crafted persona he and his advisers had constructed for him

It is evidence--not of the President's foreign origin, but that Barack Obama's public persona has perhaps been presented differently at different times. http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/OTUS/born-kenya-obamas-literary-agent-m
isidentified-birthplace-1991/story?id=16372566

Enuff already.

And no, Mike, it's not that I feel I'm "above" anything or anyone, exactly the opposite; it's a reminder to myself not to take the bait and a hope that it will remind others. You know perfectly well I've let myself be triggered into responding and each time, after it's gone on a while and suddenly I realize it, I resolve not to fall into the trap again. Some here have said the same thing, but fall back into the trap as well. So I remind both myself and those who feel as I do; each person who doesn't respond to his baiting makes for a shorter back-and-forth bickering (which all too often turns a thread into nothing else). So I try.

I've got to laugh. I finally took the time to watch the video...which is about JOURNALISM and foreign policy, and how journalists/bloggers don't do their job. There are texts appearing all through it which are dissing the journalist and journalism in general, and it ends with "Journalism is dead". It has little, if anything, to do with Obama; what they say is they don't know what his world view is. HOW that got put up as media elite not having known who Obama was is laughable...I mean it's REALLY reaching to try and tie it into something negative about Obama!

No, Niki, it's simply about the media not doing their homework , not vetting Obama, for the obvious reasons. Yes, Obama is a marxist ideologue, raised by his grandmother. Who some how found his way into the elite learning centers of the country, but still, so little about him is known. The point of this video was ALWAYS about the journalists, first.

Brokaw and Rose are, veterans of covering politics in this country, at the national level, are by any standards, " the media elite " .

Pretty hard for anyone to deny that much. Not sure what your fuss is about, and why you took 2 replies to make your point.

Too busy listening to bullshit (that they wanted to hear) that they couldn't bother paying attention to what was there for anyone to peruse.

That's a double edged sword my friend.

No matter what "side" you're on, you will feel, justifiably so that the other side holds this secret weapon.

Have you ever taken a moment to step back far enough outside of the box to realize that manipulation makes its ways down the ranks equally on both sides when there are millions who agree with enough of what they say to let the rest of the things they believe in slide by the wayside?

Seriously man...

The fact that FauxNews audience members are LESS INFORMED than those who watch no news at all is a pretty clear example. They are followers; they want to be told how to think and appealing to their emotions works well at that.

But it goes beyond that. One of the reasons Democrats lose often is that they try to explain things rationally and logically, while Republicans rely on visceral code words to ramp up their supporters. NOT saying Democrats don't do the same, but the percentages are different.

I'll offer as an example the current kerfufle about what Corey Booker said.

Obama's explanation:
Quote:

This issue is not a distraction. This is part of the debate that we'll be having in this election campaign about how do we create an economy where everybody, from top to bottom, folks on Wall Street and folks on Main Street have a shot at success. And if they're working hard and responsibly, that they're able to live out the American Dream. Now, I think my view of private equity is that it is set up to maximize profits. And that's a healthy part of the free market, that's part of the role of a lot of business people, that's not unique to private equity. And as I think my representatives have said quite frequently and I will say today, I think there are folks who do good work in that area and there are times where they identify the capacity for the economy to create new jobs or new industries. But understand that their priority is to maximize profits. And that's not always going to be good for businesses or communities or workers. And the reason this is relevant to the campaign is because my opponent, Governor Romney, his main calling card for why he thinks he should be President is his business experience...he's not going out there touting his experience in Massachusetts, he's saying "I'm a business guy, I know how to fix it", and this is his business. When you're President, as opposed to the head of a private equity firm, then your job is not simply to maximize profits. Your job is to figure out how everybody in the country has a fair shot. Your job is to figure out about those workers who get laid off and how are we paying for their retraining. Your job is to think about those communities can start creating new clusters so that they can attract new businesses. Your job as President is to figure out how we set up an equitable tax system so that everybody's paying their fair share that allows us then to invest in science and technology and infrastructure, all of which are gonna help us grow. So if your main argument about how to grow the economy is "I knew how to make a lot of money for investors", then you're missing what THIS job is about.
Romney's response?
Quote:

“President Obama confirmed today that he will continue his attacks on the free enterprise system, which Mayor Booker and other leading Democrats have spoken out against,” said Romney.

“What this election is about is the 23 million Americans who are still struggling to find work and the millions who have lost their homes and have fallen into poverty. President Obama refuses to accept moral responsibility for his failed policies. My campaign is offering a positive agenda to help America get back to work,” he said.

That's a prime example. Obama explains clearly why Bain Capital is relevant to who we want for President; Romney comes back with portraying that as an attack on free enterprise and not accepting "moral responsibility". Nowhere does he try to explain how his experience at private equity would be GOOD for the country (which he actually could have, given the cue Obama said about private equity being a healthy part of the free market and "where they identify the capacity for the economy to create new jobs or new industries"). Even I can think of ways to spin that and highlight the good private equity does, but no, he just tosses out the usual meaningless jibberish intended as visceral code: attack on free enterprise, millions suffering, Obama irresponsible, failed policies. NONE of it relates to the facts, but it stirs up the base who are already poised to agree with him.

THAT is the point I'm making; Dems all too often try to explain things, Repubs all too often rely on emotion. It works for the Repubs far too often in my opinion, and I far preferred listening to Obama explain WHY private equity, tho' an important and healthy part of the economy, doesn't relate to the full job of President. Romney COULD have countered that, but he chose to go with emotional appeal. Both sides undeniably do it; it is just my opinion from my observations that the right depends far more often on appealing to people's emotions, not their brains.

Romney doesn't NEED to accept any moral responsibly, because he's done nothing wrong. It's the amateur Obama who literally is in over his head, and has no clue of what he's talking about. All he sees is rich folks, who he thinks need to be mocked, attacked and ridiculed. He's got no fucking clue, and even those who support Obama know this to be true.

Democrats Turn on Obama's Bain Attack Ad

Newark, N.J., Mayor Cory Booker yesterday called the private-equity debate “nauseating to the American public... Enough is enough. Stop attacking private equity”.

Earlier this month, Boeing Co. CEO Jim McNerney, chairman of Obama’s Export Council, defended the role of private equity in the economy, saying the wealth-creation-versus-job-creation distinction the campaign is trying to make is “too easy.”

“Even within Boeing you’re growing some elements, you’re winding down others to fuel, to provide resources, to provide the growth,” McNerney said in a May 8 interview. “That’s what makes this country great, because we can redeploy capital and labor more quickly than other societies. And I think private equity plays a role in that.”

This is a case where you literally could not be MORE wrong, or have it more completely backwards.

The Dems have no budget, yet when Republican Paul Ryan comes out with one himself, what do the Dems do? Mock it and air an ad which shows a Ryan lookalike, wheeling grandma over a cliff.

No, no emotion there, huh?

No credible ,coherent reply, just pure , factless based distortions and lies, by the Dems.

Pathetic.

Democrats AND Republicans, in 2012, and many years before now are nothing more than the most glorified of cults.

Clowns to the Left of Me, Jokers to the Right.....

All I see is a bunch of Kool-Aid swillers.....

There are undoubtedly stupid people on both sides of that line - but only one side regularly denies science, wants to base education on mythology, attack people for being educated, and can't understand that birth control pills are used for more than ruttin'.... ect.

Yeah, dumb folk abound on both sides - but they're numbers are downright scary on the right.

So, equivicate if you like - but that's not really looking at reality.

Yup, pretty undeniable. They may be the minority of that "side", but there aren't any liberals I hear who deny evolution--and do it on the basis that the Bible says... I've not met any liberals who want evolution removed from education, or have religious beliefs taught in science class. It isn't ignorance, it's pure stupidity to want to take us back to the days before abortion, and I don't hear them even CONSIDERING the results of banning abortion or contraception. I've never met anything but righties who think getting a college degree makes one a "snob", and the only people I know who recognize that same-sex marriage is a civil rights issue are lefties...not to mention only righties believe homosexuality is banned in the Bible so should be the law of the land, and that homosexuality is a perversion which brings, what was it he said, "illness and misery"?

I also smile at the right quoting someone saying private equity has an important role in our economy...which is precisely what Obama said! To quote the President: "I think my view of private equity is that it is set up to maximize profits. And that's a healthy part of the free market... I think there are folks who do good work in that area and there are times where they identify the capacity for the economy to create new jobs or new industries..." So says you, Mark...

Reality is subjective and differs widely from the viewpoint of where you stand. To me this is a perfect representation of reality.

Without getting into which of the items you mentioned about the right that I agree strongly with you on, which I'm on the fence about, and which I don't even understand about what you posted, I could add a whole lot more to the heap of things I think are lunacy from the right, and at the same time throw an even number on the heap for the left as well. I'll say that while I may not absolutely agree with your assessment of the Right in that paragraph, there wasn't a single item I'm in total disagreement about either.

I wasn't saying that only the EXTREMEST on both sides are crazy. I was stating that ANYONE who openly states their political affiliation attached exclusively to one side or the other is crazy. Being "moderate" is no indication of sanity either, since being moderate could still be strongly believing in insane issues that either side proposes, and at the very least, leaves you exposed to having to agree with a lot of other insane agendas your own political affiliation pushes on a daily basis even if you personally don't agree with them.

Hey Niki,

Only EXTREME Righties are against contraception. In my personal opinion, Abortion at any stage IS murder, but this isn't based on spiritual belief. It's just the way that I view it. However, I don't believe that Government's role is to outlaw it. As far as the potential religious consequences of the act, those who do it may or may not have anything to worry about... Who knows? Like everything else in life, I think people should be able to make their own decision to take chat chance without government interference.

At the same time, I don't support the death penalty, but I do support the right to bear arms and I believe that taxes on cigarettes are INSANE and that you should ALWAYS have the option of smoking in a bar (it should be the owner's call if you can smoke there or not).

I guess since you commented on the "snobbery" of college degrees as well as Mark, I have to mention something about it. I've never heard anything about this in my own personal life (remember, I have no cable TV and I do my best NOT to listen to the news as presented in the paper/TV/radio). Out of all of my successful friends, I'm the only one who didn't have either a degree or a union job. Funny how my two Democrat friends are both Union members, and my two Republican friends are college graduates.

My best friend since kindergarten actually said that since the recession hit he didn't even notice it and doesn't believe it's as bad as it is portrayed. Of course it isn't for him. He even got fired from a hotel Operating Engineer union job 7 years ago for sleeping on the clock and they just put him into another building. Here in the "real world", most of us would have a lot of problems for being fired for sleeping and having no good references from our previous employer.

As far as my stance on gay marriage, I'll say what I've always said.... As long as the government doesn't force churches to recognize it, and doesn't force the Boy Scouts and similar groups to hire gay counselors, there is NO reason why a civil union shouldn't be recognized.

As far as "Private Equity" goes, what does that even mean Niki? Give me a REAL definition of that?

The rent on my parents shop has gone from 720 a month to almost 1750 a month in only 10 years.... WAY more than inflation, and that's because the landlords are forced to pay ridiculously raised property tax from the housing market bubble and it keeps getting raised slightly every year now even though Real Estate tanked. In any given month, they're way in the red because of their overhead. In the last 10 years, they've lost their 20ft boat (with a below deck kitchen and bathroom), they're trying to sell their cottage which they used to own free and clear but now they owe more on it than it could ever possibly sell for in this market, and their own house that was nearly paid for they're now underwater on..... and still business is struggling because of taxes.

Sure, my step-dad is Mexican and could probably get some benefits because of his heritage, but he's too proud to do that, just like his father was. Unfortunately, he rarely ever talks to his 8 siblings because of this. He was the youngest of 9 kids and he's the only one who speaks better English than a lot of the kids I went to high school with. It's funny seeing him at the few family parties on his side I went to and how he talks different when he's around them. He never went to college, but he made a good life for himself until the housing bubble burst anyway. There is a lot of resentment in his family that he married two white women and doesn't support amnesty and free healthcare and school for illegals.

Anyway.... tell me in your own words what "Private Equity" means....

To the mostly rich clientele he serves, he's an asset. They pay good money for his services. But at the end of the day with the way that Ma and Pa shops get hammered by the government by taxes today and the insane rent they need to pay to keep the doors open, it's a miracle my parents are still in business.

Meanwhile, they'd probably make more money if they just stayed at home and did nothing but collect SSI and food stamps and welfare.....

Six, I think you should amend that to "only extreme righties, the Catholic Church and Republicans in power in state and federal government", because they are the ones passing the laws.

As far as I understand it, private equity is a group of investors who buy out the majority interest in a company--whether willingly by that company or otherwise--then come in and either try to improve the company or else liquidate it and sell off the assets. It's what used to be called "leveraged buyouts". That's WAY too simple, obviously, and there are other forms of private equities. The group who sponsors the buyout may not put ANY money into the buyout itself, but manage other investors' money in doing so, frequently investments from pension funds, universities.

In some cases, equity firms are the way companies get the finances to expand, but Bain was best known for not putting money back INTO the businesses it acquired, in other words starving the company of capital, which led to the bankruptcy of what had been otherwise financially stable companies. Because of a lot of money maneuvering I don't fully understand, the investors in a private equity firm can walk away with a lot of money even tho' they had fired employees, taken funds from pension plans, and the firm eventually went bankrupt.

As to snobbery about college education, that was Rick Santorum. The President had said that everyone should have the ability to go to college or a trade school or something; Santorum rephrased it as ""President Obama once said he wants everybody in America to go to college," Santorum said. "What a snob.” He went on to say “Not all folks are gifted in the same way,” he explained. “Some people have incredible gifts with their hands...there are good decent men and women who go out and work hard every day and put their skills to test that aren’t taught by some liberal college professor trying to indoctrinate them. Oh, I understand why he wants you to go to college. He wants to remake you in his image. I want to create jobs so people can remake their children into their image, not his."

He completely ignored what Obama actually said: ""Tonight, I ask every American to commit to at least one year or more of higher education or career training. This can be community college or a four-year school; vocational training or an apprenticeship. But whatever the training may be, every American will need to get more than a high school diploma."

Nonetheless, Santorum got rousing applause from his audience when he made his remarks. Taking it further, Republicans have frequently made anti-education talking points: that college is bad, elite, socialist, anti-religious, and that being educated at a traditional university is pretty much evil as well.
Quote:

But now one of our two major political parties has taken a hard right turn against education, or at least against education that working Americans can afford. Remarkably, this new hostility to education is shared by the social conservative and economic conservative wings of the Republican coalition.
If you haven't heard the frequently-used comment from the right about "educated elite", you're right, you haven't been listening to what the Republican Party is saying.

Santorum also made the specific claim that college attendance undermines faith, which has been proven false. The idea that lack of education appeals to Republicans has long been reflected in their preferring a "good old boy" candidate, and many candidates have played to that theme. Santorum was particularly amusing in his remarks, given that he himself holds several degrees, I believe one in business and one in law.

As an aside, I'd like to remark on your dislike of property taxes. In California, we have something called Prop 13. It mandated that as long as you own your home, property taxes cannot be increased; when you sell your home, the new owner's property taxes will be raised to the "current" value (usually a huge jump), unless you are older (I forget the actual age) and buy another home in the same county. The result has contributed mightily to California's current predicament. Governments, even state governments, need property taxes to pay for infrastructure--you know, roads and bridges and schools and stuff--and if the revenue doesn't keep pace with the times, there's hell to pay. Look into it. It costs more, as time goes on, to build roads, etc.,; if the revenue doesn't also go up for a city, county or state, you're screwed.Property taxes going up is a real burden, no question about it...taxes going up is always a burden. But "you get what you pay for", and keeping property taxes at a certain level has been hell for California and is one of the major contributors to our current predicament. If you want to blame higher taxes on the housing bubble, then you need to look at WHO created that bubble, and blame them.

Mostly, you bitch and moan an awful lot about how unfair life has been to you, you blame unions for a lot, completely ignoring what life would be for the working person if there WERE no unions, and you blame Democrats FAR more than Republicans, so your protestations that you dislike both equally has pretty much lost its credibility for me.

Niki,

In that definition, "private equity" is on my radar for "things that are bad". Thanks for clearing that up.

Just like "No Child Left Behind" and "The Patriot Act" and "The Federal Reserve", the NAME is intentionally misleading.....

As for college, Santorum's reasons for not going. They're completely beside the point.

The point is, that millions of people today are mired under college debt... a debt that even Bankruptcy doesn't wipe away.

I'm all for agreeing with Obama here, if there were a way that you could pick what certification(s) you wanted and as long as you made the grade you had a job when you were done studying, testing and paying the fees.

The Lefties seem to think that this is just an inalienable right for everyone and that the taxpayer should pay for everyone to get 1-4 more years or more of indoctrination, even if it doesn't mean landing a job that could support their cost of living.... let alone the tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars of college debt left in their wake. In that regard, I understand where Santorum is coming from. I know a lot of guys who majored in "keg stands" during their 4 year party that will probably never own a house today because they owe a "mortgage worth" of school loans and they were too stupid or lazy to make any real impression while in college.

The problem with either "side" in this particular debate, is that nobody says the full story when they talk. They only say half of it, and hardly any of it ever overlaps... and that's designed.

As for "undermining faith", you know I just throw comments like that right out the window. Whatever...

With property taxes, Illinois (at least Crook County) is having almost the exact same problem. They had the EAV system in place which for over a decade has severly limited the amount that property taxes go up in any given year to people who say in the same residence by adding a VERY large percentage of the increases to the "homeowner exemption". When you first buy a house there, your "homeowner exemption" is anywhere between 400 and 480 bucks, depending on the township. With the EAV rule, there are people today living in homes there who are getting over 2500 bucks in homeowners exemptions over the years.

What KILLS me is that nobody ever talks about this. I'm a pretty thorough guy, and I was aware of the senior exemption and the senior freeze, and always factored that in. My mistake was thinking that when I moved into a house with a 2500 homeowner exemption that I would receive the same. The truth is, I'd be paying about 2,100 more a year in taxes after I moved in than I expected to pay.

In the mean time, all the Realty sites have a calculator that says "how much home can you afford". They take the previous years taxes (usually around 2,500 to 3,000 a year) and divide by twelve when you input the house price and the interest rate. The only problem is not only do they NEVER make the proper allowances for Senior benefits on these taxes, but they NEVER take into account the EAV!!!!! The TOTAL Rehab project-short-sale I spent 2 1/2 months of my life on would have cost me nearly 2,800 more in taxes a year than I thought because of this scam.

Being as thorough as I am, I lucked into finding the most honest realtor I've ever known and that's why I moved out of state.

As for WHO created the bubble, don't just blame Bush. Obama hasn't fixed it, Bush furthered it, and Clinton was one of the first who made it happen.

Just because this is the worst time anyone in my age bracket has ever lived in, I don't blame Obama squarely for it. Just because the housing bubble collapsed during Bush's term, don't blame him squarely for it either.

I don't blame unions for anything. I'd like you to point out where I did. I just point out that those who have Union jobs and say "I don't see what the big deal is with the economy today" are living in a bubble. I do complain that I can't get into one though. I'd run circles around half of the union employees today with my skills if I could get in. I just don't have a Daddy or Uncle who can get me in.

In the end, I've never denied that overall I have leanings toward the "right" point of view. I hate a lot of what they've done today and in the past though. The only time this country is in good hands is when the President is one "side" and the house and senate are the other "side". That way, nothing ever gets done, and no more of our lives are shattered by rich people from either side who will retire with the best healthcare our taxpayer dollars can buy.

Think what you will of me Niki.....

Again, the only reasons that I seem overly biased against the left today is because we have the most insanely Left president we've ever had (the Yin, to Bush Jr's Yang), and because Bush Jr. isn't currently in office. I know you will never bother to look up old threads here, but I was lambasted by many of the Republican fixtures here many times back then because things were seemingly so different.

Seriously.....

Ask Signy what She thinks....

I think Signy has realized that the pendulum has stopped swinging entirely and that we're all just forcing each other down the same narrow chutes...

This is just pure idiocy. Obama is actually to the right of Saint Fucking REAGAN on many issues, including taxes, spending and many social issues.

When you sputter out shit like this, Jack, it just reinforces my belief that you are politically retarded, willfully ignorant, or aggressively stupid.

6IX, anyone even mildly interested in history would be able to show you how.

I have to say, after your ignorant little diatribe in the "Not Voting for Obama Thread". where you CLAIM to think that corps aren't the solution but then spent ALL of your post complaining about gubmint, you're too confused to be anybody's ally. (Oh, and BTW- those real estate taxes of yours? They pay for fire, police and so forth. I hope that you live in one of those retarded cities where the firefighters let your house burn down if you haven't paid up. Although I'm sure you'd complain about that not being "fair" either)

I read this far and stopped: "... the taxpayer should pay for everyone to get 1-4 more years or more of indoctrination ..." Fucking indoctrination. Why should we pay for them to indoctrinate students in the right way to take blood pressure. Resolve forces on a bridge. Learn to measure at part-per-trillion. Calculate 3+ body gravitational orbits. It's ALL just a big fucking useless scam.

Right?

Because 6IX doesn't have an advanced degree and therefore advanced degrees are useless.

6IX, you are hopeless! But I intend to take this up in the Not Voting for Obama thread.

No he isn't. Not even close. Yours is a case of just a 4 yr old, throwing a temper tantrum, and spewing out the most inane, ridiculous things, because you're so damned pissed.

Grow up, get over and it then maybe folks will see you as an adult, not a hair pulling brat.

Really Signy,

Is our lives truly boilded down to ONLY the CORPS or the GOV?????

That's a sad world you live in if you believe that, since neither one is going to help any of us.

As for cops or firefighters, I'm glad that people have them for mental normalcy... IN the end, they're only there to clean up after the fact.

I'm entirely alright by myself. Short of a kid who doesn't like me who would commit arson on my house, I'm not going to need the GFD. As far as cops are concerned, I'll iron out all of the details after an attempted burglary when the attemptee is missing 3/4's of his brain from my compact .45 Colt.

The only warning they had beforehand was the NRA sticker on my door.

If they could read, they should have cased the house better to make sure I wasn't home.....

And had they cased me properly, they'd know I had a 310lb 51" screen TV and a 17 year old Camry with electrical problems in the garage.....

Move along thugs...... You could hardly buy a nights worth of drugs for either of them if you were lucky....
