Should we post known codas from current film releases?
As a service to fellow browncoats.

X-Men Days of Future Past had one at the very end of credits, one scene.

Horrible Bosses 2. Numerous outtakes during credit roll.

Kingsman. One scene, after brief start of credits, before cast credits.

Hunger Games, Mockingjay part 1. Very end, not a scene but a motion icon.

Spy. During entire credit roll much background scenes and data gags. Plus one scene at very end of credits.

Terminator: Genisys. One scene, might be epilogue, after the end of the cast credit roll.

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

Capt. America: The Winter Soldier had two, one mid-credits after the major stars were named, then another at the very end.

I think it's a given that all Marvel films will have them, but it is becoming quite common from a lot of studios these days.

Well, meaning an extra scene, after the credits start to roll. So other browncoats know they don't need to leave the theater right after picturey type images are replaced with wordy type images.

Number of separate codas, number of scenes within each coda, perhaps how far into the credit roll the coda appears. That should be enough.

No explanations of the scenes, tho - that would be spoilerish.

Would you agree? Or other info would be desired?

Chef: The final scene somewhat continues thru much of credits, then something of a coda follows, sort of a demo for Jon Favreau.

Also, an enjoyable flick. I had hoped it would be as good as The Van, and it was. Never heard Sofia Vergara not in a screaming role. No bullets, action, boobs tho, not that kind of flick.

No, silly. I KNOW what a coda is, but I meant the scenes themselves. Like the one at the end of The Avengers, is pretty self explanatory. Other codas seem to be purely for the uber fan boys in the audience.

I sometimes forget them afterwards, so maybe a spoiler posting of codas ?

Like at the end of The Wolverine. If you saw who was waiting for Logan at the airport, how the hell did that happen ?? There wasn't even any courtesy explation in Days of Future Past, so wtf ?? [/spoiler ]

I was intentionally avoiding a description of the scenes which would be too spoilery. Spoiling a coda is about the worst violation of fellow cine-fans that I did not want to venture there.
But I don't see a problem posting a secret description of what amounts to secret "hidden eggs" if you or others want. Discussion of those could be in another thread with SPOILER in the title to prevent accidental viewings.

My intention was to provide a service to those sho don't always watch the whole credit roll yet are still fellow browncoats.

Well, the idea of a coda in a film isn't exactly new. I mean, the most recent Marvel movies have all had them, going back to the first Hulk movie. Forget if it was Bana or Norton...

But since i figured you didn't want actual discussions of the scenes, I didn't give much away, even though I spoiler hid the comment.

Kingsman - after brief start of credits, one scene, before cast list. Late enough that some viewers had exited the theater.

Mark Strong has done some good villian, but Imitation Game and Kingsman may have put an end to that.

Hunger Games - Mockingjay part 1. Not really a scene, just a fully developed motion icon of the mockingjay symbol, at the very end of credits. With the smashing of different parts, not sure if it has meaning or symbolism. But it was more than I expected, and I didn't recall seeing the full motion display otherwise.

There is no need to leave the theater when Spy starts the credits roll. Saturday night I was the only person who didn't leave at the beginning of end credits.

Sure, there is a scene at the very end of the credits, with at least 2 of the films stars.
But the entire end credit role features gags/spoofs, amounting to her future personnel file, dossier, with her assignments, aliases, locations, occupations. Perhaps my favorite bit was

Terminator: Genisys
One coda, a little after the end of the cast credit role, about one fifth the way through the entire end credits, I think.

One scene, I would think it is epilogue.

More than half of the audience had left by this time, and those present had remained seated, but then left right after the coda - like they expected to see one.

I was just rereading the thread, saw that again. I don't have any XMen stuff on dvd. I still don't recall the scene nor the paradox or contradiction.
This is from your post of 20 August 2014.

The ' not the only one with gifts ' scene from The Wolverine still hasn't been explained, has it ? I'm real hesitant about the upcoming X-Men movie. The last one was more of a throw away. Anytime a story introduces time travel and alternate life paths... I kinda lose interest.

JSF - As for Spy, I don't have it on DVD, but I seem to recall the credits at the end were cleverly done. Sorry for the delay in replying.

Must be more of a Marvel thing then. Which is fine by me.

Bought Deadpool, and have been watching it a few times. Just an awesomely fun flick.

At the very end, after credits finish rolling, you have the ladies gathered in Holtzman's lab working on a new contraption. Patty answers a phone call that will
likely be featured in the next GB movie. That's all I'll reveal for the moment, but
it does relate back to the original movie.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2.

4 short clips intertwined throughout the end credits, the 4th just before the final logo. Each less than 2 minutes.

Peppered through the end credits are also many moving images. See if you can find all the ones where Groot pops in or pops out.

Also, Groot caused much mischief in the credits themselves. Mostly with mis-matched color of credits. See how many you can find before they change or morph.

Ferris Bueller was your first?
You need to review the Burt Reynolds collection from the 70's. I don't recall that he was the first, but he was prolific with the Codas in his films.
I forget if Animal House had codas, if not extensive ones.

And comedies, maybe like Airplane or National Lampoon films.
