This movie was great.

After reading the blurb on Netflix, I thought it was a new TV series. About 20 minutes into it, I was almost ready to say that it was my new (current) favorite show. That's when I checked to see how many episodes there were and was disappointed to find out that it was just a movie. :(

That being said, like all movies it felt rushed at the end and it was unfortunate that this wasn't a series instead where so many things could have been done with the premise.

I didn't even know Elija Wood was in it until he showed up in the flick. I've never seen Melanie Lynskey before, but she was really good. I'm assuming that she's probably been in a few other things before, but I don't watch many movies these days and whatever shows she's been on must not have been on my radar.

I highly recommend this movie to everybody here. Don't read anything else about it before you watch it. Just take the ride.

Lynskey was on a show called 2 1/2 Men. It has almost nonstop reruns, and she played an annoying neighbor/stalker, a recurring role, not quite regular cast.

lol... I'm well aware of what that show was. I'm proud to admit that I've never watched a single episode of it, so there was no chance I would have seen her there.

I just kind of skimmed her IMDB profile and I've seen every episode of House, Psyche, and It's Always Sunny but I don't remember her on any of the episodes. Those shows had a new supporting cast pretty much every week so her characters must not have really stood out. She was good in this movie though. Maybe she'll get some better roles now.

It won some Sundance award, but I don't know anything about those things. I'm surprised the movie only has a 7.0 on IMDB.

Civil War. Probably not the best movie to release in current year, but it does look pretty entertaining...
